Great talk and tips by Jeff. The problem with his "personal" approach is that it cannot be sustained for long. We Catholics will soon forget or grow lazy and fall back into old habits of non-evangeluzation.
As a long time member of the Legion of Mary - the largest Catholic lay organization for evangelization - I can affirm that the tools for regular evangelization exist in the Church with the Legion, including a weekly prayer meeting and weekly evangelization projects. Why not run into Christ. Revelation is an unveiling of Him in glory! He is the foundation to God's true church on earth. The church is a people founded on Christ the chief cornerstone.
We must not mix law & Spirit..we are under the New Covenant of Grace..His blood & what He's done for us at the cross..our testimony.

A quick way to remember the parts of the gospel Jeff so beautifully elaborates on:
    1. Love
    2. Sin
    3. Jesus
    4. Repent
    5. Baptized
    6. Church
    7. Share

@@davepugh2519no, they don’t. I was one of those “unreached” for over forty years-staunch skeptic atheist and attorney. I’m grateful that the good Christians I knew didn’t give up on me, and patiently tolerated my ignorance, arrogance, contempt, stereotypes, and biases. All of which I of course projected onto them, as is typical for atheists. Turns out I was the one who didn’t actually understand what I was criticizing, and I’m so glad to say I was baptized and confirmed into the church last year. If I could be brought around to thinking rationally about the existence of God, anyone can.

I was in the Catholic church for 21 years and was never taught to share my faith. I was also never taught to expect to have a personal relationship with Jesus. It was basically agnosticism and salvation by works. It's always wonderful to see a Catholic who knows the Lord

I’ve been following Jeff Cavins on UA-cam after we took up the Great Adventure series. Initially, I thought this would be another Bible related video but I discovered that this is about Evangelization.
This is what we need! Sometimes or oftentimes, the Spirit leads us to other new things.
Jeff, I’m now using this video, sharing to egg our Catholic Community members, especially our leaders to go into this kind of Evangelization. I call this type of evangelization as person to person or P2P. It’s sad to admit that decades ago we were active on the Catholic Evangelization Training Program (CETP) of the Franciscan University of Steubenville. Unfortunately, that faded into memory and became legends or stories of old.
Please, please pray for us that this video of Jeff will stir on us the need to revive the P2P Evangelization program for our community

I agree somewhat, although I am very thankful for Catholics on UA-cam who help teach the faith and do apologetics. But there absolutely is a deficiency in many Catholic schools these days, as well as insufficient CCD/RCIA, to where people don't understand the history and teachings of the Church; much less defend Catholic beliefs in the face of Protestants/other Christians or those of other faiths (especially in light of the many scandals of the Church).
I also agree that many useful resources are kind of expensive and out of reach of a lot of people (including Catholic schools and universities themselves).

The Bible in a Year podcast is one of the most successful podcasts ever. In my opinion, there is no excuse in today's age to not know scripture. The Catechism is a gift as well.
So, if you are serious about Catholic Christian evangelization, check out the Legion!

Get a copy of a tiny pocket-sized book for under $5 called "Confession: Its Fruitful Practice (with an examination of conscience)" published by TAN Books. Study it prayerfully, and take it with you when you go talk to a Catholic priest to confess your sins. The priest will give you guidance, and the sacrament of penance you'll receive will give you the grace necessary to overcome the sins you're struggling with. We've all been there, dear sister.

1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father-Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

@@anonymoususer3293he’s not a priest and this isn’t a Mass, what exactly is he supposed to do? He’s giving a speech, he’s supposed to look at the audience. Nothing disrespectful is being done to the tabernacle or altar. I suppose the speech could have been in a social hall, but who knows what kind of accommodations were available to him. The speaker usually doesn’t have perfect control over how the host church sets up their events.

It's very difficult even within the family to evangelize...a very close family member will seem very devout about attending every single walking procession even the long ones and the late at night ones that we have in our hometown during Holy Week, but will not attend Sunday mass here. He believes in ghosts and is afraid of evil yet he thinks having holy water for protection is ridiculous and stupid...
Other close family members just don't attend Sunday mass ever. And the ones that do, only go to sit on the pew but don't really understand and don't care to understand what they're there for...some even use that time to relax and snore during mass...😔
My young adult boys don't care to attend...
Very hard to share my faith with them if they don't really believe what I believe...

Jesus said, If you trust in Me as your Savior (not in yourself or in a church or in any men), you will not come into judgement, you have, now, eternal life, you will never die (John 5). He asked, Do you believe? According to Jesus, this was enough for you to get eternal salvation. He was enough. According the Catholic church, is this enough? Before you say yes, listen to them, their catechism, ask them. They say no, it's not enough. So, who ya gonna call on? Ghost Busters?

One problem with evangelizing is the Church is in Chaos. So to evangelize today you have to lead people the Catechism of the Catholic Church signed by St John Paul II and he " declared " it the " sure norm " of the true teachings of the Holy Catholic Church.

You can share your beliefs but you cannot share the Gosl
Of Jesus Christ without sharing the Word of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ You are altering. substituting and sharing another gospel of your own making. You are ashamed of the real gospel and afraid of offending the listeneds you are entertaining. Paul said he was not shamed of the Gospel preaching unapologetically repentance from sin, faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord, receiving power and authority as a disciple and resisting Satan while winning his captives out of slavery into freedom and holiness in Christ. You sir are an entertainer and a people pleaser. Awoe is me if I preach not the gospel

FYI: as an ingnorant innocent child I asked Jesus what religion I should be? What do you say, Jesus ?
Immediately I heard a man’s voice (I was alone) HE SAID, HAVE NOTHING TO DO WOTH ANYBODY’s CLUB ORGANIZATION OR RELIGION. ITS NOT ME!
    So why are you “catholic”
    Or any other religion?
    Jesus GOD WANTS A RELATIONSHIP
DO YOU HAVE A RELIGION WITH YOU SPOUSE? Or your parents? No so why do you have idols when they are an abomination to God
The catholic bible is MISSING the second commandment (see Exodus 20 & then read revelation :22:18&19
    Before you start splitting hairs
    It’s idolatry ?
    Proverbs 30:6
    Deuteronomy 4:2

What a sad and unbiblical presentation.
A born again, newly birthed Christian has a insatiable hunger for the sincere milk of the words of God.
The natural (intellectual) man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God. Neither can he know them for they are spiritually discerned.
The spirit of man is dead in sin and trespasses UNTIL he is born again by God’s grace thru faith in Jesus Christ. This requires responding to the Gospel with repentance from sin and trust in Jesus Christ’s sacrifice as the complete atonement for my sin. Born again!
You sin-dead spirit came to life! This is not your soul (mind, will, emotions, feelings, reasoning)
Your spirit (innermost man) is separated from
(Dead to the Living God) until Jesus is received as personal Savior and Lord!
This Catholic professor, like Nicodemus, does not understand these things or he would be teaching them to you, Instead……..He is entertaining you…… but not equipping you with God’s truth to set the captives free!
He is doing you a dis-service. How much Word of God is he giving you? The karigma??? Why not the Word of God?
Sin, repent, are words he avoids and replaces with more comfortable terms. He is preaching another gospel.
John the Baptist and Jesus called sinners to repentance while loving them enough to tell them the truth. Do likewise professor!
