Thank you, Buddy!! I lie both razors a lot. They just released the Lupo .58 yesterday. I'm trying to get my hands on it. Thank for watching! Have a great week! And Stay Safe! 🤙 #WAD
Hey Sig...great comparison shave...RazoRock vs. RazoRock. I love my GC .68, it is my 2nd most favorite DE after Karve CB. Glad to see you have entered the artisan soap rabbit hole. Take Care and Stay Safe.
Thank you, Brother!! I love both the GC and the Lupo. They give great shaves. The Lupo has much more blade feel if that's your thing. I have the Copper Karve set and the Brass C-plate coming in. Can't wait!! I'm deep in the Artisan hole looking up; calling out for help!! ;O) Have a great weekend and Stay Safe!! 🤙
@@SIGSOLO Hehehe...there are so many fantastic quality artisan soaps out there to choose from. We are in a good 👍 time period to be wet shavers. The options are limitless.
Another cracking shave sig. What is the name of your ethiopean coffee? Had some nice a&e soaps....plum...kraizan and pear. Plus paa nor easter and splash. Lovely menthol. Love my 6c razor rock razor. Impressed with blades called willies. (Made in india) Yes you are right yaqi spoken ya chee. Stay safe n sound.
Thank you very much!! The coffee is bought without a brand name in the local coffee shop It just says Ethiopian Dark Roasted Beans on the pack. I think it is imported via The 'Marley Coffee One Love' Fairtrade corp. I haven't tried any of the A&E soaps, but I hear good things. The Willy blade great lots of appraisal amongst the WS'ers; still haven't tried them either. Love my Rockwell razors as well!! I have them all, and some of the models in more than one colour. Have a great weekend and Stay Safe!! 🤙
Great comparison shave my friend and I love that mug👍 I was not expecting there to be much difference between the two razors after a 3 pass shave, I must admit. As you say it then falls to the shave experience and personal preference. I think I would have come to the same conclusion 🙂
Thank you wery much! The mug was made by an local artist to be sold to tourists. The Pandemics killed the sale of them. So the enamel tin cups were made available for the rest of us to buy. The two razors are very similar in so many ways. The only major difference is their blade feel and how to load the blade. The way the GC is loaded on the baseplate annoys me every time! Super excited to do the Muhle R41t vs R41 GS comparison, but also a bit anxious. It could potentionally become very bloody!! Have a great Sunday and Stay Safe!! 🤙
Haha!! It was actually shot in the very early morning, before the family got up and all. I didn't sleep that much but, alas. No parties or beautiful ladies to keep me up all night... ;O) Thank you very much!! The tin enamel mug was made for tourists to buy. The Pandemic made them available for ordinary people like me... Have a great weekend and Stay Safe!! 🤙
Mighty fine comparison shave Sig! It’s very tempting to pick one of these up, but I must resist as I’m more into possibly collecting vintage Gillette’s these days. Have a most wonderful weekend my brother!
Thank you very much, Brother!! They are both fantastic razors! The Lupo has more blade feel; so if that's your thing That's the one to pick. Apropos blade feel: Just picked up the Muhle R41 GS. I can't wait to do the comparison vid (R41t vs R41 GS). I might even record it tomorrow just to try it out!.... Funny thing about the vintage razors; I started out thinking that vintage was not for me when new razors were around. Now I have 15... Have a great weekend and Stay Safe!! 🤙
@@SIGSOLO you’re most welcome! And yeah, blade feel in a DE isn’t really my thing, I like mild razors and sharp blades, works better for my skin. Two R41’s eh? That should be interesting. Only 15 vintages? Hahaha just kidding, that’s a nice little collection, I have 4 I think, but adding another Gillette to the quiver pretty soon!
@@JMac. Yes, the Chrome version vs the Stainless version. When my Karves and Rockwell arrive I'm about set... Razor Emporium sells nos 80's British Falkland War Tech for $19. One of best the razors I have... It is sparkling new with cartboard paper in the head and all... No blade feel at all but very efficient... Have a great weekend and Stay Safe!! 🤙
@@SIGSOLO that would be an interesting comparison then, might be a tiny difference in the face feel with the different metals, but other then that, the shave should be similar as it’s the same head, same with the Karves... they are all different, but the same. That’s a smoking deal on a vintage Gillette, I’ve been eying up their Khaki war sets.... might have to pull the trigger on one.
@@JMac. Yeah, the head is very much alike. One is 90g and the other a whopping 114g. That most give a difference. If it's good I can work out while shaving. The R41 is so far the only razors I've used that provides an almost sufficient 1 pass shave... The 80's Tech is pretty much the same razor as the one in the Khaki set; I'm told... And $19 that's undisputed!! 🤙
Great shave, enjoyed watching it. Nice tin cup, looks like a typical Greenland scene that I've seen in story books years ago Great pronunciation of Yaqi by the way, well done! Been brushing up on your Chinese? I also enjoy using mild but very efficient razors with sharper blades, I'm not too keen on more aggressive 'bitey' razors where I need to be really careful. I'm looking forward to watching and hearing your thoughts on the Fatip. I think I too would have picked the gamechanger on feel AND aesthetics.
Thank you very much! I actually bought the tin enamel cup before Christmas. It's made and sold by an artist to be sold to tourists. I believe my Chinese is lacking in all departments. ;O) A couple of vids ago I asked how to pronounce the Yaqi and I believe Doug Smythe wrote how to pronounce it; I've been practicing ever since. I prefer to say the product's names correct if I can; Fun way to learn a little language. I like both razors very much and the results of the shaves were equal. The feel of the glide/blade was what decided the winner today. Only thing I don't like about the GC is the way you load the blade. It often gives some problems with the blade positionand there is a risk of cutting you fingers in the process... The Fatip comparison is a couple of weeks away. I want to do the Muhle R41 GS vs R41 TWIST the second it arrives here, the Karve Cu vs Brass and the two Black Beauties... But I might push the Fatip up the line just for a friend like you! Have a great weekend and Stay Safe!! 🤙
@@SIGSOLO thanks for the response, I must have missed your pronunciation request a whil back, don’t know how because I’ve watched every single video of yours. Please don’t change your planned schedule just for me, just go ahead with your original timetable. I’ll watch them all anyway 😄
