One question I've always had about how idol transfiguration actually works is whether it interacts with the soul on a conceptual level where you just simply imagine what you want to happen and it does automatically or if you need to understand the different parts of the soul and their own interactions first before you can do anything because mahito had been studying the soul and that's revealed to his conversation with kenjaku. This distinction is important along with another one whether or not he can actually affect the souls of twins. If he can just conceptualize it and negate the twin soul bond then maki would gain her full potential off that along with the ability to use ce if she wants. If he needs to fully understand the soul first though then I don't think just transfiguring away maki's like lack of course energy would do anything because it's her soul bond with mai who does not want to grow that keeps her held back not really just the lack of cursed energy if that makes sense
