@swiftwingsofdeath people who are suicidal often show elevated mood right before they kill themselves. Possibly because they feel that all of their suffering is about to end, so this song communicates that feeling.
Ok, I don't know why people are talking about his "lack of emotion" but ok Duncan Shiek is a singer/songwriter not an actor. Besides I saw him sing DDS with Lauren Pritchard and they sounded awesome.
@swiftwingsofdeath Well if you are using that thought pattern then Blue Wind should also have a female performer as it is sung by Ilse... also demo's are for the producers to know what the basic song sounds like and it is a DEMO why put tonnes of emotion into it when it could very well not be used? And the first part of your comment, a lot of seemingly perfectly happy people commit suicide, i felt that the song was pointing out that his internal sadness is not reflected by outward emotions...
Since when did demos sound this good? This is why I chose Spring Awakening.

I think the idea is that he is trying to drown out his sadness by screaming and being angry, but despite that, the sadness still remains.

its funny at first to hear bluewind done by a male voice but after awhile its natural and sound pretty good
