The symbolic hand represents how player always chase after the better one (in this case Oikawa) and how he seems out of reach with overwhelming talent compare to your lack skill/experience. But with determination and effort, Karasuno finally able to keep up to the point that Oikawa is now within reach/ grasp of their hand
They just don't want to talk a lot at the end and hurry to next episode🔥 I understand that feeling. I don't want to waste a time anymore cause i'm so curious what will happen next
Touching Oikawa's back represents that Kageyama finally caught up to him. He was always chasing after Oikawa ever since they ended up on the same team. That one handed toss stole the ball from Oikawa, showing that they were on the same level during that scene.
Seijoh players consist of alot of mature and experienced ones, especially the third years. So Seijoh's coach basically try to interfere less as much as possible so the players can think, develop their own strategy and find solution while still watching over them. When Seijoh's players were talking about Hinata, the coach wanted to remind them not too focus too much on #10 (like Date School's case) but Oikawa already brought up that point so he decided not to interfere anymore. Same case with their second meeting when Oikawa discussed to give up the broad cross. This way of coaching brings up the leadership, calmness, problem-solving skill to players as there is limit of time-up and how much they can rely on coach
Kageyama reaches to oikawa means kageyama now finally reach to oikawa level of being a setter (by what he feels at that moment). Last episode shown that oikawa has been running away from those genius players like kageyama and ushijima since middle school. And here kageyama reached him
I play with a guy who could smash the ball if he wanted to, but if he's in the setter position he'll set to everyone no matter what, so he's constantly having to do one hand sets or jump sets on a ball that'll clearly be going over. It's seeing someone play like that, that really shows you the different levels of skill, especially when I'm happy just to get a pass off that hits the middle or get that spike that actually connects well and gets smashed down instead of flying out.
Touching someones back symbolises not remaining in theyre shadow anymore or finally catching up to theyre skill level. You'll often hear people saying that theyre always one step ahead of me but that catch up meant theyve caught upto seijos skill level and arent the pushovers they always were.what usually happens next in methodical way is the person pulls the runners shirt back and sprints ahead to show that theyve even surpassed them not just cuaght up.
Lol I totally empathize with the need to go to the next episode immediately after an episode like this. I'm pretty sure I was the same way on my first watch. Everything else took a backseat for these hype matches.

In other word if they are on a race, its like Kageyama "catches up" Oikawa

Just saying, don't hate Yamaguchi. Trust the process
This episode was really hype. Both Karasuno and Seijoh were playing at their peak. Also Yamaguchi's first touch of the ball in match was important.

trust me volleyball is one of the best sports ever. that just so fun to watch!!
my favorite sports along with badminton
Back row attack is called a "pipe"
Pipe = Backline attack just so you guys know
Love how invested you guys are.
I think the term "pipe" does mean something in volleyball. I've heard it in the pro scene as well.
I thought the “pushing” was Kageyama trying to catch up to oikawa.
