The British are experts at having security without seeing it.
I totally agree w all the responses. I have no doubt that security was as tight as possible. And the fact that firearms are not allowed, generally, can create a safer environment. But guns still exist in UK and criminals are still able to get their hands on them (obviously facing a hefty jail sentence). I guess I’m just thinking that despite the security and gun restrictions, it really only takes one mad man.

I would love to be there in Buckingham palace to see those historic artworks, books, and documents etc. I guess only world leaders, can see them.
I think you can visit sections of the Palace. Not all of them since you don't want anyone to be able to visit any place of the Palace. Too high of a risk if a terrorist plants a bomb in a room where the Royal family and country leaders are in a meeting.

The official title that Naruhito goes by is Emperor. He’s the world’s only remaining Sovereign with that title, although since World War 2 the Emperor isn’t even Japan’s official head of state. His role is that of the symbol of the state.
And yes Japan doesn’t have an “Empire” no longer. Japanese call their ruler “Tenno Heika” or “The Heavenly Sovereign” on account of the traditional Shinto creation myth that the Imperial Family of Japan are directly descended from the Sun Goddess and that their dynasty (the worlds oldest) goes back from Naruhito 126 generations.
