    @kieronphillips63 I'm impressed on how this Jackson guitar sounds. Can you please do a demo comparison between this guitar, and the lower entry Jackson 7 string, that is the Jackson JS 22 7. And compare the 2 models? Also, what amp are you using? I'm impressed with the tone of this guitar's pickups. I own a Jackson JS 12, and I love the Jackson high-out pickups. Definitely will have to pick up the Js 22 7. Thankfully that model and this JS 32 7 guitar you're reviewing, both have a 26.5 scale. Also, how well does this guitar handle drop g? And what string gages would you recommend for this guitar in order to play songs in Drop G?

    Thanks bro u sold me on this. Been looking for a nice seven string with binding....Idk why more models don't have binding. The piranha tooth inlay look way better than the sharkfin as well in my opinion. I was going to get a prestige for like 1500 but I think this beast is much more worth it considering how nice and cheap it is. With a plek job and new tuners this will be an absolute beast.

      Definitely worth modding. Mine is full mod and i just couldn't ask for any other 7 string at the moment.
      Personally i prefer no inlay fretboards but the shark teeth ones are not visually invasive like ibanez shark fins or awful like prs birds, they subtly contribute to give a more modern aesthetic than usual dots and because they're small and sideways when seen from a distance it almost looks like a no inlay fretboard. Amazing guitar.

    I got mine 2 years ago, made in indonesia tobacco burst with a duncan pegasus already mounted on the bridge for 250€.
    Honestly i never considered jackson guitars before, i was looking for my first 7 string with the specs i wanted with a budget of 300€, i was leaning towards ibanez 7321/7421 initially even though the specs weren't exactly as i wanted, they are very beautiful but i didn't like them when i had the chance to try them out. Then a friend of mine appeared with this guitar for sale just at the right time, and man this was a very comfortable guitar since the beginning and for that price it was a steal. The pics online don't give it the deserved justice, it's very beautiful, trust me.
    There are obviously a couple of things that would need a bit more of quality control but it's still an entry level guitar after all (better than the js22-7), fortunately it's nothing that would compromise its function, integrity, playability or look.
    I don't know how the stock bridge sounds but the neck is ok, i swapped it anyways with a duncan sentient because the stock neck pickup seemed to conflict with the pegasus on the middle position, i also installed locking tuners (even though the stock ones hold tune pretty well), strap locks and changed all the electronics, it's simply a beast now. I'm a black guitar guy and i'd like to make it glossy black but the wood grain and paintjob on mine are pretty beautiful, so i'll pass.
    If i can give an advice to anyone looking to get one, tune the 7th string just a tiny bit flat (between -10 -25 cents) and don't buy these made in china which are completely different guitars from the indonesia ones, the wood grain and paintjob are usually awful, body split is too visible and most of the time they are two totally different pieces of wood, the fretboard is an horrible dry piece of shit and some inlays are misaligned, tuners are mounted wrongly thus the headstock looks even bigger, but you can easily distinguish one from another by simply looking at the front of the headstock or at the tuners themselves, if they're mounted straight it's china if they parallel to the borders of the headstock it's indonesia (i believe his guitar was indonesia as well), just take a wild guess on how the rest could be, they even sell them for the same price if not higher.

    • @kieronphillips63
      @kieronphillips63 3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the questions buddy.
      I'd say the price difference is worth it, as you do get generally better hardware and woods in the JS32. Sound wise it probably won't sound much different as I beleive the pickups in the two are the same, but either of those two make really good mod platforms. Once you start adjusting things to your own taste you'll notice more of a difference. Hope this all helps /,,/

    • @kieronphillips63
      @kieronphillips63 4 роки тому

      Hey man it depends entirely on what your after. If you can get a good ibanez 7421 I'd recommend that. But the benefit of the Jackson and the Cort will be the longer scale length. Traditionally most ibanez 7's have 25.5 scale length. Whereas the Cort and Jackson have 26.5-27. which does give better tuning stability overall and a much tighter sound. Plus the Jackson and Cort are very well priced. The best way to whittle the options down would be to play each guitar if you can. Hope this all helps

      @@prefacciprian7728 I've been having the tobacco indonesia for 2 years now and compared it to the china ones you find mostly around now, they are two completely different guitars, china made are literally shit in every aspect and they still sell them for the same price if not higher. Don't buy it if it's not indonesia, but always have an inspection first, even indo's one aren't flaw free, mine has a bunch of forgivable things which do not compromise playability, functionality or look.
      SD pickups won't fit perfectly, it's true, my luthier decided it was better and cheaper to cut a tiny bit of metal off the screw plates instead of drilling the wood, it worked perfectly. I've got pegasus and sentient, the first one being installed by the previous owner and even though the stock neck pickup was all right i swapped it for the sentient anyways because it was conflicting with the pegasus on the middle position and also it was leaning a bit towards the neck, even putting a small block of wood underneath didn't help. Initially i thought the screw holes in the wood were drilled at an angle but after swapping the pup it turned out that the screw plates of the stock pickup were crooked, because the new pickup leans flat. Today this little jackson is full modded and still by my side, it's literally a beast, i love it.
      Fun fact, the guy who sold it to me is a friend of mine, and roughly after a year we made the deal he told me that he regretted doing it too.
