Well I´d practice both Aikikai and iwama and both are the same just different stages of techniques. Aikikai shows atemi too but as it focus on aiki, used to train more feet movements and body dynamics first, then you must focus on technical details, and iwama start very static and focus on technique. but then you have to improve aiki and dynamics in order for techniques to work. Diference between daito and aikido, just the intention daito-figthing and aikido-inner peace. forms are the same.
@cjrllanosnj Aikido is the result of what came before, O'Sensei didn't invent aikido, he saw and felt aikido. Saying it should never have been invented is like saying you don't agree with the nuclear reactions in the sun or with an apple falling from a tree :-)
This is the real strategy of Okinawan karate. Only we use tuite to also set up a finalizing strike!!! I couldn't agree with you more about strategy, although I will not comment on Aikido vs Aikijujutsu.

Daito ryu is great it's my favorite jujustu system .I also practice wingchun and boxing .you tube is great thank you for posting this

U cannot do aikido in real life without atemi ... technique will work only with ur friend in the dojo or maybe against a drunk guy :D
