Solo training at home. Due to the coronavirus, many Aikidokas are stuck at home and can't practice Aikido at their dojo. I've set up my home dojo, thanks to my Sensei who lend me a few mats. This was my first home practice!
Having fond memories of the five years of aikido training, especially the warming up.
Sweated like an ox already after 10', but never got injured 🙂
Wonderful training Thank You Osu!!!🙏
Never-ending practice: that is the way.
Missing so much my classes of aikido... only learn for one year. My teacher drive twice a week 200km to teach us... until he have to give up from us. It's wasn't practicable making so much km to teach a small class room. Beautiful art... it was good to watch this video, it bring me so much memories. Sometimes it isn't the time we pass doing something but the intensity we put on it. Thanks
who is your devoted sensei?
Nice work. Wish I had more space to practice. Please upload more videos. Thanks.
Lucky woman with a backyard! :)
You go Ms! Congrats on the workout and inspirational video.
Love to saw your solo drill, your mat, and your backyard. Keep it up.

Thank you. It incredible how similar are our trainings. Nice job
Great stretches. That warmup is truly a full body warm up.
Very impressive, continue always in your flow; thank you for sharing! N A M A S T E.
Regularity and tenacity. You contribute to help training almost 300k viewers to aikido. Very good action
Oh those are great knee stretches & she definitely got it down..the warm up

I just love your skills
That is awesome!!
very good warm-up and exercise 👍😎
Splendid! More please :)
Your awesome love how you brought the Aiki Home. Good for you. Very proud of you. The simplicity of what we do. 1000’s of years old. Yoga and Aiki. Awesome ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Nice Rolls. Thank you. Very inspiring. I train at home. All the time.
Thank you for your kind words!
This is very inspiring thank you 🙂🧡
Your movements are really clean, esp. in your ken and jo work, and your incorporation of sun salutation elements in your practice is a great idea.
In wanomichi aikido with Daniel Toutain, with use to practice Sun salutation as kaisen dosa 🙏🏼🈴
Come to my Muay Thai gym so you can learn real martial arts and get a wake up call from this Bullshido
Bravo and thank you for sharing this video. Yes Mat time is difficult now...Lovely to see you working regardless. I have shared this on because so many students ask the same question in training..! Thank you again and bravo!
Thank you for sharing my video with others!
Love your home Mat. Would love that.
That's a nice solo set up, lots of room. Nice Warmup, never done aikido but looks like it would help with flexibility
I just started and this video is so nicely done and inspiring - thank you very much!
Well thank you. I wish you all the best and joy on your Aikido journey.
Nicely done, and wonderful training space! I wish you the best!
Thank you so much!
Ninjustu is my discipline & the moves with a bo staff or hanbo are very similar to these. Always have been curious about Aikido as I have heard of the overlaps with these 2 martial arts. Thanks for sharing. 🙏
Good to see you are still training!
Lovely!!!
Lovely reminder of aikido practice, thank you for sharing:)
Bokken (and Jo) practise outdoors is so much better than indoors; I realised just how low the lights and ceiling are indoors.
Thanks for this training at home. I will do that to get better.
Enjoy your training!
You have a nice space! Right next to your trees with a pleasant backdrop.
Perfect ! I love it
Nearly all of those warm up exercises are exactly the same as when I trained. Cool.
Thank you Aikidoka !
Thank you for be safe. God bless.
Excellent thanks
Good training. Thanks. Mo, karateka From France :)
I want practice like that, thx sister for sharing
Thank you for this, very well done...
Daniel Eissner You’re welcome!
I’ve never trained with that implement. I like it.
This is a martial system I never practiced but I really enjoyed your video and looked at it 3 times in a row lol, it have a really nice atmosphere about it.
Glad to read that you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching (3 times in row). :)
Great job.
Thank you, dear.
That was great!
Nice reminder of my old training days need to get back in to this.... Thnaks
And one thing my sensei always say: be cool, at ease. You look a little bit tensed! Be smooth!
This is great thank you
So cool!!
Always a fan of this discapline.
Know little about it realy.
I grew up strong from work, but not at all athletic. So I just watch.
But as a tradesman, I sure as hell know the result of hard work and vigilance when I see it.
👍💪👍💪👍
Phillip Johnson what a nice comment. You made me smile today. Thanks 🙏
You can do it too. Doesn't take long to pick up and not as difficult as it seems (for the postures and such). I began overweight and out of shape at 45. Took a few months to get the old muscles and joints ready, but now I can do everything she did in the video. My teacher does all of it and he is nearly 80! Give it a try.
Keep up the good work at home ^^
Belle ambassadrice de cette noble discipline, vous transformez le dojo en jardin🌸
Great to see that you can still practice Aikido at home. I wish I have the backyard to set up the mats and practice my bokken (I live in an apartment). Thx for sharing.
YW! Even in a small space, you can still practice Aikido. Like aiki-taiso, taisabaki, relaxation, and if you have a high ceiling Jo kata/ Ken suburi?
What if you use a long-handled hammer? The weight of the hammer head is to simulate the weight of the long bokken above the handle. :-)
I also live in a flat and I practise the bokken in the garden outside and do some forward and back rolls in a small matt.
Esta constructivo gracias por compartir y por la enseñanza
Damn girl. Awesome. So easy. ❤
nice exercises presented!
Merci beaucoup 🙇
😢como extraño ir a entrenaren el tatami exelente gracias por tan bello video
Beautiful backyard keiko
Nice training, I will follow some of your routines to improve my karate. Thank you for sharing and good luck on your journey! ^_^
That’s lovely to hear. Thank you. Enjoy your practice and good luck on your journey as well!
And finally: I AM very jealous of your mat, and your space... I'm stucked in my appartment and I don't have enough space to release my tsuki and ushi...
Sorry to hear! Yes, I am lucky with my tatami at home.
Thank you!!
Great stretch 👌
Keep the good work .great
I feel calm.... nice.. 💓
Hermosa mujer, disfrute de la sesión del entrenamiento.
Practice practice practice 🙋♂️👍
Súper 🥋👊🏻
THANK YOU YOU ARE VERY NICE
Thank you, stay straight when going down ;)
Excellent! I will do it in these day of COVID 19 while the dojos are closed Thank You!
jarmenta4 Enjoy!
Awesome. To the point.
Thank you for sharing it. Gambate! OSU!
Nice Video! I practice aikido with my children in the garden every day.
That's awesome!
Just subscribed! You have great form. Well done!
Karl Ruedger Thanks! And for the subscription. Cheers!
Thank you.
No idea why UA-cam put this in front of me but glad it did....I tried Jui Jitsu many years ago and a lot of the techniques you use in Aikido are the same (so joint manipulation/locks/ fwd and backward rolls etc)...awesome watching you go through some of the drills 👍🙏
Enjoyed the jo. With the bokken and your high blocks, need to pull your arms out to the side so the sword is covering your head. At the moment it is your hands. Something you learn in hard training in Shinkendo. Smashed fingers hurt.
Really enjoyed.
Glen Jones Thanks for the info! I’ll look into it. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Very cool
Amazing! Domo arigatô
So now we know who broke the window....thank you lady.
Very good👍
Très beau travail bonne continuation surtout le travail de jo
Oh, cool, nice video. I've never done Aikido before but it looks fun. Some of the moves reminded me of break dancing.
I think she uses them as warm ups or they really have that and break dancers used those moves in their dancing of breaking. XD
Dancing, that's the only thing they do in aikido lol
@@mokyaffe I don't understand why so many people like to bag on martial arts other than the ones they practice. It strikes me as a tad unseemly.
I like the backyard dojo
Set up nice and zen
@@cswalker21 because they have no understanding of martial arts the arts are a way of life the mind body and spirit not everyone understands this concept looks like this women does
I got power ! many thanks!
excellent
Complimenti!
Very good.
Danke!
