The counter weight formula you cited didn't include multiplying the outboard beam length times the safety factor of 4, and the fulcrum point only refers to the tipping point or farthest out supported point of the beam. Not the entire beam after the support.
I thought this was a good explanation of the theory behind the system. In practice, it has to be rated by the manufacturer and approved by the authorities. In many cases, legislation requires periodic inspection by qualified persons.
Was looking at renting a swing stage for a boat house I’m putting 18 windows in. Think I might just sink some ladders in the muck and plank it. I’m a big guy and that whole counter weight thing freaks me out. I’m surprised that platform can support the weight of your balls alone lol.

I set up swings weekly and never seen a system like that. It looked a little sketchy to me 🤷🏻♂️
