Ricky Rudd - Tide Chevy (1993)

My 12th completed build, this is Ricky Rudd's #5 Tide Chevy from 1993.
Kit and decals are both by Monogram, body was painted Krylon Fusion White, then masked and painted with 3 coats of Tamiya Florescent Red followed by just 1 coat of Tamyia Bright Orange, the yellow is a decal.
Chassis is Krylon Pewter Grey.
Ricky Rudd drove the #5 Hendrick car from 1990-1993, from 91-93 it was this style Tide ride. Rudd won 3 races in this paint scheme during those years winning at Darlington, Dover and Michigan. After 1993 Rudd started his own team and took Tide with him to become the #10 Tide Ford Thunderbird.
I personally like his number 5 Tide ride better and its my favourite of all the Tide cars in NASCAR.
