This is how I felt all along which is why I cannot understand why others, who live in the Americas and Europe do not understand the implications of a russian victory.

It's nothing new or revealing. There's a reason why we talk about a meat grinder and it's exactly this. Just like the talk about 'meat waves'. We are all very much aware of the fact that Russia doesn't consider and respect the individual and just sees their population as cannon fodder (another reference) for the 'glory' of the 'motherland'. It is a fundamental distinction, and I cannot express how much fundamental, that we in the 'west' value human life on a totally different level which the Russians cannot understand. The one and only solution for that is to continue the 'meat grinder' till all meat has been ground, sadly. I accept that this is a grave conclusion, but it will be the only one that will work. We in the west must be prepared to give the Ukrainians all what is, sorrily, needed to do this job.

when Žižek talks about the existential conflict between the West and Russia (with its accomplices), he actually says the same thing as Skabeeva (Russia is not fighting with Ukraine, but with the West and NATO!)... have you ever thought about it?... with people like Žižek you need to be very careful and cautious - it is not a fact that he is not a long-standing agent embedded in the so-called intellectual circles of France... he is not a philosopher... but he successfully imitates...

Zhizhek is wrong (as he often is, due to frequent hypocrisy). First of all, Russia’s attack on Ukraine is not a “conflict” or even a “war”. This is clearly a murderous assault directed by a psychopathic tyrant employing his soulless and compliant forces where the objective is to _both_ take over a people and their land and resources and to _also_ defeat a political ideal. It is both for material gain of wealth and power as well as it for something existential and metaphysical, as Zhizhek puts it. Putin not only is trying to defeat what he considers a bad example which may “corrupt” the minds of his people, but he does also want to profit from it materially in terms of gaining more land and wealth so he himself can become even bigger than he has ever been. It is for him ultimately an egomaniacal pursuit either way you look at it.
