He has no sneak shift, ff2 bound is hard to hit, combo after wr2 required a crouch dash but he has insane damage output and some of the best throws in the game
Good goly god, his wall carry is just ridiculous. I'm so tired of being at the wall any time I get launched on a stage that isn't coliseum or Jun's nature stage.
I like how his gets wallsplats from like twice as far away than any other characters on his + on block mid that's also his heat engager that's also his ground hitting move thats also his combo ender that's also his wallsplatting tool that's also his stance mixup and you still don't know if you I'm talking about B4 or sneak 4.
Has that not been like that tho? In t7 I could get 86+ dmg from a qcf2. Its base damage has always been godly. People only care now bc his character is top tier.
Honestly? A massive damage nerf if anything. As good of tools as he has, he should also not be doing more than 50% BEFORE tornado. So either tone down the damage or make his combos prorate harder, so they still keep their single hit damage, but don’t cripple you for losing a singular interaction.
@@JohnGlow2Yeah damage is the main issue. Like Dragonov's has good tools but he does have weaknesses but they don't matter when he just does 60+% off one starter then kills you in the next interaction.
He really just needs a damage nerf. He has way too many tools and mixups to be killing you for guessing wrong twice. Him having insane tools and damage is what makes him broken
Every character except Lee and shaheen are bullshit characters in this game (they have some bullshit moves or bullshit properties) I don't think there's any broken character in the game..as long as whatever it is they're doing has counterplay to it then it isn't broken
I don't know why they keep nerfing him. No need of more nerfs . I agree he is kinda strong but people don't understand some character has to be top tire or top 1
People don’t really care, they mostly want a scapegoat for their iniquities. Once Dragunov is eventually nerfed to shit tier, people will just bitch about the next top character.
Not even close lmao. Their only similarities lie in their explosiveness and pressure. And even then, I'd argue Akuma had nastier pressure and was more explosive. Both characters also have extremely simplistic playstyles, but Akuma was significantly more execution-heavy. But if we were to compare their differencies, it's quite night and day - because Akuma could disrespect any situation, and was generally much less risky, unless he went really all out. (basically, if T8 Yoshi and Jin had a baby, that was injected with more plot armour and stupidity) That's the reason Akuma was more explosive, he didn't have to rely on big df2/cd2/b4,3 whiff punish for big damage+carry. He could steal rounds with an evasive low or a jab. And that's the reason he had scarier pressure, because even if you guessed correctly, you sometimes had to guess again. With drag, if you sniff the hatchet, you launch, if you can disrespect the qcf4, you get a CH and if you step running2/HS you sometimes get a backturn ToD and sometimes get harada's figner. With Akuma, even when you guessed correctly and stood up for ws2, he could DF and depending on your character you were still in the blender. Even if you blocked his launching low, you had to guess again, because now you're at -6. Even if you read his backsway powercrush, and went for a low/throw (you know, the things that beat armour) he evaded because that character was balanced by a lobotomized intern. Even if they keep buffing Dragunov for the next 10 patches, he'll still be a more balanced char than T7 Akuma. Even if they make him as all-around as he can get, and delete all his weak points, whilst letting him keep his strongest points (a la T8 Jin), then he *may* end up as an easier half-akuma.
What i dont like about drag honestly is that he's the poster child of tekken 8 balance Over tuned and no real skill required. Just take ur plus frames, and you win.
A character with this much utility and oppressiveness shouldn’t be doing this much damage it’s overkill. He doesn’t need any insane nerfs just a bit of tuning, but judging how they’ve been handling the balance of this game he’s probably gonna get gutted and someone else will be power crept and the community will complain about them too

stupid character or stupid game, or both? srly why did they make combos even longer than they already were in tekken 7?
The real surprise here is the Steve didn't pull

Crazy that the recent update actually buffed him lmao
It's a bug fix that gave him access to more moves after heat engager.
But the patch says that next update will give him damage nerfs

I feel like they should remove the tornado bound which df3+4 gives. Dragunov rewlly doesnt need that
That wouldn’t do that much in all honesty, the real culprit is his wr4 at the wall
