I don't see very many counter picking these days like how it was in 4 especially since the game doesn't let you pick in ranked or battle hub but I agree with Punk it's better to have another character to consider. I was a Ryu loyalist for 15 years and it was 15 years of suffering.

@@xkoan-yy7lg I main Lily now. Even though she's low tier I don't really care. She's vastly different to Ryu which is how you'd want a main and sub to be. She lacks fundamentals but believe it or not I win more easily with her because usually people don't know how to fight her.

Im in CST....but it makes perfect sense and is easily believable because think about it....NYC is in EST along with many other major cities and population centers compared to CST. Its almost like one big city all the way from DC to Boston. I just googled it and it says 47.6% live in eastern, so it checks out.

CatCammy's twitter showed 300 of our current legend players are from Japan. Capcom needs to do something to allow more Japanese players into the Capcom cup as it currently stands.

Players can have multiple characters in legend. Punk has a handful of characters in legend, for example. And if we're being honest, MR is very inflated in Japan and typically when players travel there, they end up leaving with like +200 MR lol
no. that's because they have the biggest playerbase and ranks tend to distribute in more or less the same proportions everywhere.
In SA, players don't get to legend because if you go past 1700 MR, you can't find many players on that level or higher so you get stuck not being able to get any points.
@@PipeRetrogamer The inflation also comes from them being so close together. If you live in Florida you are never matching with someone from California if you have limited matchmaking.

It's a gamble in regards to not get footage but snake eyez doesn't play online tournaments for this very reason. No footage on him to fully prepared. Granted he isn't playing too hot in the offline sense but that can potentially help with some players with some characters.

I agree with this comment but post-2020 these days online tournaments are accepted. Pre-2020 people would've probably spit on you for even thinking of taking anything seriously online. All people do now is insult you when you say something that's against the current standards...like this comment. Regardless, fuck them. I agree with you. Online is good but there are occasional interferences.
@@thatboytoni238 people blaming cheaters can't accept someone might be better than them. My entire club is masters, and not one of them feels like they ever ran into a cheater.
If it was that bad pros would talk about it. The few times they brought up someone might be cheating that person was banned.
If cheating was prevalent you'd hear about it a ton.
@@Psikick4 I'm talking about online interferences in general-- cheating, wifi players, netcode issues, differences in platform. The reason why you don't hear about "people blaming external sources" is because this isn't the attitude people respect and it's not the attitude streamers/pro players want to condone. They don't respect and condone it for obvious reasons. I'm just saying going around insulting people and having bad sportsmanship is something I don't condone. People can have their own opinions regardless if it's approved by Sony and Capcom. Just because this community is toxic as fuck doesn't mean I'm changing my beliefs.
