The search for our van continues…

As stated in our last video, we finally had 3 great van options to schedule test drives for - after all the chaos of the van search process.
We decided that doing 3 in one weekend would’ve been totally doable, but Tara needed to be back in Pittsburgh to work on Saturday. So we squeezed 2 test drives into ONE DAY! We stayed with Andrew’s aunt for two nights, before and after the test drives. Thanks, Aunt Paula!
The first was in Baltimore, Maryland and the second was 3 hours away in Newark, New Jersey. We decided to pass on the one in Philly, even though it was on the way between the other 2. Out of the 3 options, it was the most expensive and the biggest gap from the clean loan value offered for that van (making it harder to negotiate down to our budget).
After 8 months of seriously looking at vans, and all that we went through up to this point, we finally….. BOUGHT OUR VAN!!! 🙌🏼
We are still in disbelief from the whole experience, and we STILL have to plan another trip back to Newark to actually bring it home.

**What we’ve learned*
Vehicles aren’t always what you expect them to be based on pictures & a CARFAX online (pictures don’t show everything).
Smaller car shops don’t always report to the CARFAX, so if there’s almost nothing on the vehicle history report, that might be why (it might still be in great shape!).
Don't pay with a check because the dealership may have to wait for it to clear before you can take it 🙃 (we were nervous that they were lying to us).
