- Prepping for the 100 Day Project 2024.
Making another album like I did last year! Hopefully it'll help me be successful again this year.

Great video, Denise, thank you for sharing. I learned how to do an image transfer - thank you! Your cover and book turned our beautifully.
Wonderful! Yay!
I love the idea of a concertina album for the 100 day project. I’ve been thinking about the substrate all week and this is what I will do! Thank you!
Oh awesome. Go for it! I just personally find it so much easier having it all in one book. Cause it makes it exciting to know I will have a completed album when it's over!!!
Great video Denise - I know you sounded tired and were having trouble - but we're all human!! I once went on a workshop where I tried to make a concertina book and kept glueing my strips together wrongly - concertina it was not!! Maybe one day I'll be brave enough to try again - but perhaps I'll join them before I fold them!!
Thanks Sue. It really isn't very hard. If I didn't need a specific number of pages it would have been so much easier. Sometimes it's harder trying to explain how. lol I know you can do it. You should try again. You can do it!
@@DeniseLush I will!!
Thanks for the inspiration Denise! It is a challenge in itself to commit to a 100 day project, not sure if I would be willing to also commit to 1 specific style. Although the idea is probably to improve in the chosen style…..? I will make an accordion album, since I have never done that and use it to experiment with different mediums and techniques and trying to find my own style. I will be committing to 100 pages, though not to the time limit of 100 days……😂
I wish you a lot of fun and I will follow your process ❤
Thanks Kim.
I think that's a great challenge!
For me personally I think I just find it easier to keep it simple. I figured sketching is just one thing. I don't need a lot of materials. I can move around the house and look at different things to sketch. I'm taking the pressure off this year by NOT recording the process. That was so much work last year. While it was great for me, social media wise, having something to post every day. It was just very hard and stressful to keep up. So it should make it easier. Now I just have to get rid of the guilt of not filming. lol
@@DeniseLush it sounds like a quadruple challenge to do the art, record and edit it, plus doing voiceovers. Hopefully you will show your end result…..a flip through? Don’t feel guilty, you spoil us already with all the inspiration you have been sharing over the years! Have fun!
That turned out looking great. Isn't making and then finishing your own sketchbook sooo rewarding? I enjoyed the videos on your 100 days project last year.
It really is! And even more rewarding when you actually use it! lol I'm really good at making albums and then not touching them afterwards. lol
I think you did a great job. I have an issue with measuring and counting and no matter how hard I try, I’m always off. I’m impressed that your folded edges came out so even. I didn’t get through the entire 100 days of your last one, but I will (it’s still in my watch list)…I found it fascinating and is how I found your channel. Thanks for sharing.
Oh really! That makes me feel more like I should be recording each day for the 100 days. But I already decided I am not. It is just too much work to record and edit every single day. I will do may weekly or monthly recaps.
I think the pages came out even because I used the score board, so those lines were straight.
@@DeniseLush No pressure intended…you just need to enjoy the process. A recap now and then with a quick flip of the pages would be greatly appreciated.
@@Lainers2000 that I can definitely do!
I'm doing several of them and I too have that same Canson pad, same size. I want to try and get 4 stips out of each sheet though for a smaller accordion sketchbook for doodles. I haven't figured out the math for that yet as I struggle withwork measurements.
I think the easiest thing to do would be to fold it in half and then fold it in half again. Know what I mean? Then you would have 4 equal strips without having to measure.
@@DeniseLush That's what I just did!
@@j.m.hunter6022 ha ha! Great minds!
a nice ruler at the beginning from that vid ... where I can find it in www?
That's actually a ruler for fabric. It's by Fiskars. Let me try to find it...I bought it on Amazon. I can't find just the ruler alone. But I did find a Rotary set. It comes with the ruler, a cutting mat and a rotary cutter.

If you just look up 6 x 24-Inch clear Acrylic Ruler you can find other ones.
Hope this helps!
