You don't need alcohol, life is far better without it. For some reason, society tells us that we need to drink to have fun, but the reverse is actually true. Living sober is completely free of charge, and it gives you the best natural high that far surpasses the short-term anesthetizing effect of alcohol. Plus there are no hangovers, no risk of drink driving, no alcohol-induced depression/anxiety, no risk of missing work due to being hungover and you get a shit load of free time and early mornings to do beneficial things like cycling, hiking, weight training, swimming, etc. I only know this because I wasted a lot of my 20s getting drunk and high, so have first-hand experience of the shitty negative effects of drinking. Sobriety is a much more rewarding way to live life. But this is merely an opinion.
You wouldnt drink In the morning or the night before work and if you wanted to wake up early then you can just not drink the previous night but that doesent mean life is awful if you drink on other nights, if you get a good balance then it wont affect much
