As a black South African, I love country music.. I heard this song on Spotify app, I can't stop listening to it, especially when driving to my small town, passing those beautiful mountains and valleys 500km from where I stay, Johannesburg.. Country music heals the soul..
from the musicians stand point this song has it all. stinging lead guitar, awesome lyrics, thumping baseline and a drummer giving it hell. Typical of Jason Aldean, rock on brother we love what you do.
Had essentially the EXACT same experience with a woman. This song came on the radio 105.1 kkgo during the 2nd date with an extraordinarily special woman .. everything about this, the blurriness, the touching, the fondling .. It's as if we were being recorded .. her eyes, the smiles, her lips, her feet .. every time ..and boy was that only the start ...... God did something right .. RIP Ange
l agree with you, indeed Jason Aldean is a great and talented artist who's songs never goes out of style, he's one of my favorites artist, he's songs still and always heals the Soul, I pray God gives you lot of beautiful days…
Jason Aldean is awesome in concert- this track in particular. Took my kiddo to see his Burnin' it Down tour with Tyler Farr and Cole Swindell. Amazing show.
Omg! Love Jason Aldean...I heard his music for the 1st time on GMA he sang Trouble with a heart break and I started listening to all his music now ..love him!
l agree with you, indeed Jason Aldean is a great and talented artist who's songs never goes out of style, he's one of my favorites artist, he's songs still and always heals the Soul.
I think the thing that is so awesome about Jason Aldean as an artist is that even with his commercial success, he has never lost the rough "edge" to his music! So many artists that have success with their first album or two become so over-produced that they essentially are turned into "McMusic" -- but not Jason! On a side note, whoever directed this video got all the subtleties about what drives men crazy about women down to a tee! Just the little ways the actress moves or smiles nails the emotion without being overtly sexual! Extremely well done!!!!
It's a read damn shame this album isn't on spotify. As an artist, any platform to get my art to the people is a blessing. I'm a huge subscriber to spotify and am really disappointed not being able to hear Jason's music. Being reduced to experiencing his new songs on an ad filled medium like UA-cam. #whatshappeningtocountrymusic ???? Song's great. Coulda been our song, daddy. #poetry #Desmene
Its called "ad blocker", you should download it, for free. And, try buying the album if you like it. Last time I checked, advertisements dont exist on an Ipod.... #firstworldproblems #non-poetic
StrengthLegacy County-pop is not country music. A rich boy singing about places they've never seen, and work they've never done...is not country music. If you honestly think this is country music...then I have lost all faith in humanity. Take a listen to "Fence Post" by Aaron Watson. Now that's country music. And it explains how Nashville lost its country roots. Jason Aldean is a prime example. He has 80 studio released songs........guess how many songs are actually songs he wrote?.........Four songs. He has just enough talent to write 4 songs. That's horrible. He can't even take the time to be original? What a poser
Garrett Tacha Of course country-pop is not country music. It's a genre with elements of both country and pop music, nothing wrong with that. As far as Jason Aldean goes, I think he's an outstanding singer.
l agree with you, indeed Jason Aldean is a great and talented artist who's songs never goes out of style, he's one of my favorites artist, he's songs still and always heals the Soul.
;~; why did you pull everything off spotify! a lot of people don't got the spare money to buy a CD these days :( and plus most people WON'T buy a CD because not many people got CD players lying around :(
pat wentworth im sorry if you have a phone or a computer that lets you use spotify you can spare 25 bucks every once in awhile for a CD or to buy an album online on itunes
Actually no I can't. I'm lucky to have a phone... or lights. We have to borrow money at the end of every month because our checks don't give us enough to get through.
I like this song and I have listened to all different genres of music. Country might be going through a transition phase. It has to change to stay dynamic.
Gotta be a dodge.. I understand why you don't know if you ain't even gonna make it to the party! ;) haha jp.. I know they're junk but I still love driving em! Just such a nice place to be... Satan's chariot =D
That poor woman got picked up in a 2 wheel drive dodge... should have let me pick you up in my Chevy 4x4. Even though I wouldn't be able to put my arm around you since my Chevy is a stick but hell only REAL GUYS DRIVE STICK SHIFTS!
Dylan Harris i had an 05 6.0 king ranch it was a nice truck but i had nothing but problems with it and i had bulletproofed it multiple times and still had problems so i traded it off for a 2010 lmm duramax and its doing good so far
I like this song pretty good after Jason has sold out and become just like the other country artists. Changed his sound. Well I do not like the music video to much fuckin city. Wtf
l agree with you, indeed Jason Aldean is a great and talented artist who's songs never goes out of style, he's one of my favorites artist, he's songs still and always heals the Soul.
I grew up listening to country and Hip Hop. Country is going thru what Hip Hop did after the 00's. Its getting stripped down and processed into hits. Then when its over saturated with BS it will die. Obviously this crap still sells so until the fans wise'n up corporate will keep feeding you this music cause it sells....But everybody wants to go to a country show and get drunk and ride in a pickup hollering at girls....This will be the music you get till the attitude changes, or till fans realize that their worth more than these junk lyrics and find someone to support.
Finally someone said it!! Most of my generation needs to learn about country music, the meaning behind it, and about "True" country life. It's not all about Riding in a truck, drinking beer, and "Hollering" at girls. In my opinion, Hollering at girls is plain damn rude as hell. Kids these days need a damn lesson in respect. If you Holler at a girl on the sidewalk here or from your truck, car,ETC, and you stop where she is, You'll have her brother, (If she has one), Her cousins, Her uncles, Her boy friend and her Friends on your ass quicker than a rattle snake can strike. These country boys in north Carolina don't play. Thank you so much for for saying this Mr Mike.
I rather like the country rock these days. It sounds so much like the 80s rock I grew up with. Country back in the 80s was super boring - honestly! Could it get any slower or have any less energy? Garth Brooks and others, Toby Keith a bit later, you could see country starting to get a little more rock as time went by. And I'm liking it. I think good music is good music, regardless of its genre. Jason Aldean is a great artist.
TheMMSpirit I agree with parts of what you said. Garth Brooks is a great country artist, and never varies between the pop culture and country culture. He has always stayed true to the country "with an attitude" genre. Toby Keith on the other hand, is utterly pathetic. His older stuff was good, but now it just sucks. Not to mention he's a complete asshole. I met him when I was a sophomore in high school...I had VIP tickets to spend an hour on the bus with him and just hang out. I was on the bus for 5 minutes, got his autograph and he says "Alright, now you can get the fuck off my bus". Yes, some country has started to get a little more rock in it, like Garth Brooks, and some others, but when it comes to these famous "posers" in the country music scene (Like Florida Georgia Line, Taylor Swift....thank God she's not "country" anymore, Hunter Hayes, and more)....there is no indication of country roots or rock roots in their music. To be of the rock genre, there has to actually be instruments being played. Take Jason Aldean's song "Burnin' It Down"....there are no instruments played. It's all computer generated everything. That isn't rock music and that isn't country music....and nothing in between. That is pop music. Florida Georgia Line is a "boy band"...which is pop music. They don't have any rock sounds, or rock "chords" being played in any of their music. They also don't have any country roots in their music. When I say that country music isn't the way it's supposed to be...I mean it. It doesn't mean that I don't like the "country-rock" sound from some of the artists in the country genre...because I do like a lot of it. I just hate the Pop country bullcrap because there is nothing in that music that sounds anything like rock or country. And by you saying you don't like 70s and 80s country is basically saying you don't like Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Dolly Parton, Joe Diffie, Hank Jr., Sawyer Brown...etc. In that case....you have no idea what country music is or how it is supposed to sound.
As a black South African, I love country music.. I heard this song on Spotify app, I can't stop listening to it, especially when driving to my small town, passing those beautiful mountains and valleys 500km from where I stay, Johannesburg.. Country music heals the soul..

This is one of the exceptions to the statement "all country music is the same"
But its not anyway... So...
