I think the term psychobilly came out from a song from Johnny Cash. And Cramps is a great band, but besides of the lyrics it has nothing to do with psychobilly. they are garage. meteors are the fathers of the psychobilly

I totally agree about the bass line and would say it lacking the backing vocals that sing along with thebass line makes it less awesome.. but considering almost the entirety of the song is changed structurally and musically its not a far cry to have changed the bass line to a rockabilly/psychobilly feel. the guitar is a major improvement though. overall its kicks ass and melts face.
