Wanted to add on take off it was interesting in that traffic was taking off on a runway heading that takes air traffic directly over the city, and while watching that I couldn't help but think that the controllers, engineers that built the runway, and the city officials must have had every confidence in the aviation world That no way will a plane taking off or landing over the city ever have a failure that might endanger the city from an aircraft coming up short on either take off or landing
Thanks for the ride guys! My last airline at KBOS went down the tubes,so I slid over to subway trains. I still eat my lunch watching the planes, miss it.....

I think I found a way to mount the camera in order to get a good view of the PFD/MFD without blocking my view. That video will be coming soon. I just have to get caught up on the footage.
you most have recorded this vlog a while ago, we ave not had snow on the ground for quite some time following from RI PVD rules we are proud of our awsome regional airport
Good video, liked the approach through the snow. Some minor housekeeping things: need a box of tissues on the flight deck, what did you fly through to get that excrement on the starboard windscreen? and on the approach, the port engine throttle looked like it couldn't make up it's mind, what's with that? Thanks!
I'm not sure what was up with the right side windscreen...it was driving me nuts while editing. I tried not to use that view too much because of it. I think it was something about the heating element in that window, but who knows. As for the auto throttle, I think there is a slight amount of slack in that throttle cable which causes that movement
You may not believe this, but it drove me crazy while editing the video. I can't believe I didn't notice it while flying, but it jumps right out on the video! Oh well...

Jeez why does your left seat co-pilot speak so fast? surely this could be a serious issue if something was misheard....the guy needs to slow down a bit
This might be a dumb question, but why is there a trim wheel on the console when the trim is electronic on the yoke? Is it a manual option? I notice it usually has white markings.... Is it so that you can see the trim moving?
always manual option vs electronics in case electronic fails. I flew single engine planes where the only option is "spinning the wheel" . just think of it like the auto throttles.....the physical levers still have to move
Yes the markings are so you notice the trim moving. Particularly in icing, it's important to know if the autopilot is continually having to add nose up trim, an indication that the airframe is accumulating ice faster than it is shedding. If you don't notice the trim moving, you could end up slow with an airplane wildly out of trim that is very difficult to nose over.

Richard Byrne changed company.
Yeah...I moved to a new company for career advancement
@@CorporatePilotLife Thanks for answering. I'm sure you miss your old friends over there. Best of luck in your new gig. I'll be watching!
Do you ever hand fly approaches without the FD to stay in practice? Or is that generally not allowed?
That's generally not allowed in the plane. We do practice that in the simulator though
Thanks for reply but it would seem like driving a car in the left seat going to Europe and driving in the rt seat
When was this? It has not snowed here in Boston for at least a few days
Its been several weeks. My backlog of videos is building...
Got a question. Why does the left power lever keep moving and the right doesn't???
He has tech video on that very ?

This airplane isn't equipped to fly LPV approach minimums. It requires WAAS to fly LPV, which this airplane doesn't have
