I would argue that’s a sign of their greatness because they rarely ever got blown out. All their games were close and the opposing team usually needed some late game heroics or miracle even to win.
I wonder if it's a result of their heavy orientation to team work and that discourages crazy individual performances, even on the defensive side. You do what Pop says because it works and don't go for your glory because they want the highest probability moves. Or maybe like someone else said here that they rarely got blown out, so their loses would disproportionately be down to the wire.
