Now I can have 1 Skyrim (NoSteam) with all the languages in 1 game. Planning upload after finished gathering all languages (voices and texts). And maybe Special Edition too. ;-)

Dawnguard's voice assets are in the Dawnguard.bsa. As such, it's somewhat difficult to take just the voice files. However, if you are adventuresome and can use a bsa extracter, you could just extract the voice files and use those as a loose file version.

The game is actually fully dubbed in Japanese? That's...very interesting, especially since I didn't expect it from Skyrim of all games. You should do a comparion of the lines said in japanese and in english, just to see which voice actors are better.

If you have any friends in Japan or the US or another country where you can get Japanese audio, try asking them to send you their language files (which shouldn't be breaking copyright if you both own the game and do a direct file transfer).
@CaeniaMedia Japan has an entire industry built up around voice-acting, anime, so they have a large pool of talented voice actors. The US doesn't have this, they have screen actors but they expect large amounts of money to do voice work, and also if you've seen any Pixar films you know that being a good screen acting doesn't mean you're a good voice actor.
@UltimeciaKnight Using the Japanese version and just replacing the voice files with the English voice files in the way described in the description should work fine. If the whole game is in Japanese otherwise, there shouldn't be encoding issues.
@Chinothebad I know a German one exists, it can be reasonably assumed a French one exists. Using this method should work for any language with an official dub.
@iwanfishz9 It exists on the internet somewhere... remember that Google is your friend. Keep trying occasionally if you can't find it, Google's web crawler takes some time. Of course if you do find it on the internet, remember that downloading those files is only not infringement if you already own the game (i think, those laws are pretty confusing and vague).

@ivynbean They do. And the lip syncing does not match, no. However for someone who wants to practice Japanese and know what's happening (subtitles), this method is very useful. Besides, the voices do sound pretty boss. I have yet to try many other people (Hermaeus Mora must be fun)

i finally made it work you need to update the skyrim game to japanese language then back up the Japanese voice bsa and extra voice bsa put it on new folder then update your skyrim back to english language then drop the japanese voice bsa and extra voice bsa in your skyrim data folder start the game the subtitles are english but the voice of the characters is japanese
@Hsnyutsu Mods and the rest of the stuff works with Pirated copies. I had to use Pirated copy myself because I always receive my pre-orders 2 - 3 days after release -.- I won't help you any further thou because I do not support piracy! Good luck searching!
There are a few files that are specified as being Japanese (or whatever language). Skyrim will not read them properly or at all if the filename is not the same as the game language. I don't offhand remember which files these were but they were in a subfolder somewhere iirc. They weren't hard to find- Translate_English.txt may well be one of them (but I honestly don't remember well).
I don't have the DLC so I don't know. You probably need to find where the Dawnguard voice packs are and backup the Japanese versions and then switch to English and overwrite the English packs with the Japanese packs. They are certainly separate files form the vanilla voice packs.
I don't have any of the expansions but I think Dawnguard's files will be in a different location. I imagine that in theory the process should be the same if you can find the appropriate files.
@SadisticCanada It's because generally, whatever app or game your running, there are incorrect fonts. My second language is russian and most programs I use on Windows give me weird letters or squares. You could just change language in Steam to Japanese or download the Skyrim game torrent from a Japanese site and is this how you spell Watashi wa Ivan desu; WATASHIWA IWAN TE IMASU Stupid iPhone Keyboard, won't translate to Kanji

The language of the game is the language of the country you buy it from. At least I bought skyrim from Germany and it was only in German on my xbox. Maybe it is possible to download other languages on the PC, but I'm not sure.
@Key2541 you can't get alternative languages on a system, there's too much dialogue to fit on the one disk, you gota buy the pc version and download mods and such onto it sorry :(

No, everything should be named with "English". The files with "Japanese" in their filenames may have just been for the UI, in which case if you aren't translating the UI to Japanese then it doesn't matter for you. You can also just do a search for files with "Japanese" in the name and rename them to English after you have finished every other step.
It surprises me how Ulfric can still speak a human tongue, I remember the 3 of the Greybeards could no longer speak because they're voices were too strong for people to withstand.

He asked his US friend with American Skyrim key and he could change his language to Japanese, so it's my Polish key's fault. What do I do now? :/
He was never meant to be, and the japanese voice is in agreement: he's got that feel of a strong and powerful teddy BEAR. The propaganda against him is in direct conflict with his attitude in this scene, which was an important part of his character: He wants his freedom with as little blood as possible. Clearly this was Bethesda predicting how the 2016 election would be like, and they only got the faces wrong: Ulfric should have golden blond hair and they should've switched elisif with that old hag in riften.
Check if you have Japanese text supported on your computer. You can google how to do that. Otherwise it may be a unique issue and then it may be best not to use Japanese text.

Yes they do.
I just replace the orginal english voice files with the japanese audio files and it works perfectly fine with english subtitles.

If you change your windows system default to Japanese, the Japanese game texts will show up properly. It changes everything to Japanese, though.
