If its anything like our shop, our customers buy the material and if its not all used it sits until there is a use for it. Maybe it was scrap material or free to him, who knows.
@@lawrencenannes4260 yeah I'm one, I enjoy creating and watching others be creative bu thank god for double speed playback🤣 I've made plenty of special one off tools in mytime, but I draw the line at wasting time and materials, I could make a more practical, less complicated vice from a piece of 8mm plate, a piece of 50 mm box, a piece of 40 mm box a length of M16 threaded bar and a couple of nuts, just using a welder and a grinder.
True, but home food is way, way healthier than fast food, and considering the light materials used (not cast iron) that vice is going to bend the first time any real pressure in put on it!
Don't want to be negative, but how much did it cost you to build compared to buying one.(There is no way that is scrap) Don't get me wrong that's really cool
It's like Reinventing the wheel what is the purpose just go out and buy a vice invent something that has never been done before has general principles and use and does not exist ,not another device that does the same thing
I can see if a person carved lines in the metal for traction., but just drawing lines with a marker how does that give you traction ? Unless when the camera wasn't on he carved into the metal lines
Have you seen the price of a bench vise lately? Even harbor freight wants $70 for a small one. Thanks for the idea. I'll save about $120 over the cost of a vise the size I wanted. 😊
Well I will buy a vice its much cheaper then the materials and labor needed to do this . A few hours of my time is more then $70.00 not including the solder , cut off blades , drill bits used to get a sub standard vice , thanks but no thanks. Bet it took him/her hours just to figure out how to do this . Good grief Charlie Brown 😳
Ah! The joy and satisfaction of building something yourself! Obviously a trait largely lost, as we mourn those 'cheap overseas products' that are now the norm.
Abandoned waste? Every piece used was brand new. I will say the builder does have awesome skills, but what a waste of time and money when you can just buy a more capable and sturdy bench vise cheaper.
All the lopsided measurements made me cringe. My Dad taught me how to be a machinist in his shop when I was growing up and he would have slapped me if I would have eyeballed in measurements ike that. Even if it's just for a half-ass UA-cam video at least do it right.
I have a feeling they were measured more precisely, he just made it look like they were eyeballed. Anyway you can buy a usable vise at harbor freight for less than hes got in materials here. And if youre in California you probably wont even be able to get oil based paint pretty soon anyway. Theyre outlawing anything that a toddler cant drink.
Very cool and clean work.
You can weld very well.
I also think the idea is great.
Many thanks for showing it
Thank you!
Kỹ năng hàn TIG tuyệt vời, ý tưởng tuyệt vời, tay nghề DiY tuyệt vời!!!!
Thanks!
AMAZING TOOL!!!
UA-cam clickbait translation: Wobbly vise
So you spent more in time and materials than it would have cost to buy a proper vice, bravo👏👏

There are some of us who enjoy creating and watching skills of creative people❤

Exelente idea
Thanks!
Your ideas are creative and unique. keep creating👊
Many thanks!

The man has skills 👍🏻
Thanks!
Great video.
Thank you!
Hello Kwando good job
Thanks!
Good. Very creative idea.
Thanks!
nice
Thanks!
You are rich in scrap gears 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks!
Buna herramienta
Thank you!
Ridiculous, just buy a vice…
Some people would rather make something themselves.
Really, I know it’s really difficult to go and buy a bench vice thesis days😏
Sometimes people have fun making things. Why do a puzzle when you can buy a poster. Why cook food at home when you can buy fast food.
If you live where ?

Good job on it! What kind of welder is that?

😂😂😂 looks like the chain and sprockets were prepared before he made the video, smart guy 😅😅😅
I cringed when i saw the way he held those gears using the drill press. Next video make a drill press vise before you break your freakin wrist.

👍👍 kreatif
Thank bro!

Have you thought of a name for your new invention?? It's like a pair of big vise grips!
Yea, I think it should be called …a vice.
класно
They sell vises at Harbor Freight!
And how is this better than a traditional vice?
Vas a inventar la la rueda UN dia Otra vez!
What on earth is that little pink welding tool? It looks like two shots and it connects metal well enough for a proper weld. What is it?
TIG Welder
Get rid of those bolts and replace them with set screws.
Movie prop quality
Thanks!
Có thể bán cho tôi không?
Berapa long drat harga nya
All that effort just to build a simple bench vice. Just build the simpler straight forward single screw solid metal bench vice....
I can see if a person carved lines in the metal for traction., but just drawing lines with a marker how does that give you traction ? Unless when the camera wasn't on he carved into the metal lines
Abandoned waste…while he picks up a new chain and sprockets😂
Yeah and the rest of the entire thing was new metal stock lol
Glad I'm not the only one that noticed... 🤦
Got those clicks and the credit for my comment🙄
You know you are being spoofed when they make outlines and marks that have absolutely no need.
Same thing I said
What kind of welder is that? 🤔.
TIG Welder

Not to much scrap in that tool.

YOU MEAN DISCARDED. JUST RIDICULOUS
