You wound your thread tape around the fittings the wrong way. When you screwed in the fittings all the tape came off. There's no tape left on the threads.
I completed everything, dropped my pump in the well, it worked great, then I realized I had not installed the check valve. Doh!!! Gotta pull it and do it, but it's okay. Everything is working!!!

You should only use nickel teflon tape with stainless steel to prevent galling.
