dustyk32, first off let us start by saying thank you for taking the time to watch and for subscribing to the episodes over the years, we greatly appreciate it! While we've shared the things we've learned, all praise and congratulations go to you for making your spot better and seeing the rewards come to fruition. We are right there with you, Deer Season '22 can't come soon enough! Have a great rest of your week Dusty and again, thank you for the support.
I’ll be waiting for marks video this October from this spot 🙌🏼🦌
The Bowhunter dude, we're right there with you man! It can't come soon enough and hopefully Mark's prediction comes to fruition. Hope season prep is going well for you and thank you so much for the time you took to watch! Have an incredible weekend.
Another awesome video with tons of excellent information Mark, Wade, and Perry walked through the process step by step. This is why I love y’all’s channel, the whitetail Encounters are awesome but the journey leading up to that point makes it that much better. Again great video.
Justin Johns, we're dang glad to hear you enjoyed the information! We look forward to doing more of these types of episodes and couldn't agree more that the journey to get to the final moment is the best part. Thank you so much for the support and we hope you have a great weekend!
@@DruryOutdoors thank y’all very much for all the information and content
Episode 4 should be available over on DeerCast tomorrow around 5pm. Hope you enjoy it and if you get the chance to check out the new features on the app, please let us know what you think! Have a great rest of your week Justin.
@@DruryOutdoors alrighty, thanks for lettin me know
Soo awsome !!
archery only, we hope you we're able to take some good information from the episode to make your spot better! Thank you so much for making time to watch and for the overall support. Have a great rest of your week and best of luck as we continue to approach opening day of Deer Season '22!
Going to be fun to see if it all comes together. Wade's tip about the part of the field shading first is a really good point that you don't hear talked about much. Definitely lots of points to take away and keep in the back of the mind when developing/game planning for that next potential plot location. Here's to Deer Season '22, it's going to be a fun ride!
Opening day can't come soon enough, that's for sure!
Another great episode..
Country Borthers Outdoors, we’re dang happy to hear that! Appreciate the support and hope you have an incredible weekend.
Great video! God loves you ❤
Could we get a video about the blinds you all make scent proof. Needing to build a couple for my farm but not sure where to start. Awesome content.
Donnie, first off thank you for taking the time to watch this episode and we really hope you enjoyed it! As for your question, those blinds were built many years ago and we don't have plans to be building more. That being said, our go to is any option from Hawk or Muddy and we encourage you to check them out at a local dealer or online. Below are the links! Again, thank you so much for the continued support, it's greatly appreciated and we hope you have an incredible weekend!

You should do a segment on these blinds you build including the plans. I see the muddy and the hawk box blinds most of them don’t really have big enough windows to shoot bow out of but your custom blinds do
Rob Jockisch, first off thank you for taking the time to leave the comment and for watching the episode! The support is greatly appreciated. Regarding your comment, we don't have any plans on constructing anymore of those blinds as they are many years old and came before using the Muddy and Hawk series. We absolutely love those blinds and eventually, hope to replace this plot with one of them. Not sure if you've been able to release an arrow through either brand, but we've never had problems shooting out of them. Thank you again for the support and best of luck as we approach opening day of Deer Season '22. Have a great rest of your week Rob!
Great info guys.
That's the fun part to me. Getting ready to start on a new farm here in Ohio.
You guy have featured one of my places on the fundamental 5.
Maybe the new one is next?
I have the same Deere 333G hi flo and it plain eats!!!!!
Doug Willard, first off thank you very much for taking time out of your day to watch the episode, we really appreciate the support. Like you eluded to, making the improvements and learning a piece of property is a major part of the fun and it's something we don't take for granted! Hopefully your new piece is productive and full of future memories to look back on. Best of luck to you as we approach opening day of Deer Season '22, we can't wait for it to get here! Have a great rest of your week Doug.
Perfect timing. Planning to try to get some ground work done for my first ever plots this weekend down here in scorching north Texas. I'm sure Mark and crew will be very successful this fall without any input from me....but will there be any concealment added to the bottom of that blind? I feel like with the expectation of deer being bedded that close that could help with entry/exit. Keep em coming!
Ben Malone, as always we appreciate the time you take to watch brother! That's awesome to hear your getting after those first plots and to answer your question, there wasn't any plans but it's certainly not a bad idea. The access is pretty dang bullet proof on this spot and with the grass those deer are bedded in, height wise they certainly will not be able to see far enough to see the blind. Now, if they are bedded right on the field edge, that's a different story! Thank you for the suggestions and questions, we always appreciate the discussion. Have a great weekend Ben and best of luck with those plots!
How do you plan to exit the stand after hours in the evening when non Target deer are in the plot?
Amy Ries, it's always a toss up but if we have deer on the plot, we will wait until black dark and be as quiet as possible. The mowed path down that hill right to the blind will allow us to leave minimal scent on the walk in and walk out. Obviously we can't control all the variables but we can do our best. Hopefully most of the deer have already moved off to the destination fields by the end of the evening! Thank you for the question and best of luck as we approach opening day of Deer Season '22.
My thought on why deer always choose the shade side is because there eyes adjust better to other shaded area at a distance and obviously they can see anything that the sun shines down on. So being in a darker area helps you adjust your site better into other darker areas easier than you would being in under the bright sun. Just my thoughts but good tip to point out that they typically use the shaded areas!
Kyle Zimmerman, that's a great observation no doubt and we appreciate you sharing the insight! Also a huge thank you for taking the time to watch the episode in the first place, the support is much appreciated. We look forward to bringing you the next episode of Deer Season '22 and you'll be able to find that at some point tomorrow over on DeerCast first. Then, we will upload to UA-cam sometime on Friday! Have an incredible rest of your week man.
So what happens at night?
If a furred animal has " choice" of sun or shade in summer, it's going to the shade
Another great video. I love the bottom setup. My curiosity question is. Why take out all the cover that was there previously. With all the traffic that was already in this area, why not hint the travel route? It seems like keeping deer in the area was no issue. Thanks again for your content
Brett Payton, first off thank you for taking the time to watch the episode and for leaving a comment! In the grand scheme, we didn't remove an overly large amount of the cover and by adding the food source/entry routes, it increases our overall likelihood of getting a shot with the Mathews. The same travel routes are there, they are just enhanced after a few days of work! We can't wait to see how it plays out and ultimately, if someone is able to catch up with one of the awesome bucks we had Reconyx photos of last fall. Have a great rest of your week!
I can't wait to create a food plot where Bucks can walk around in the day time, all day long, care free.
They come into shaded area first because it’s cooler
Great observation no doubt! The shade factor is definitely something to always try to take into account when constructing a new food source.
How can you afford all of the equippment and land?
Years of hard work would be my guess.
Ummmmmmmmm well you must not know who you are watching and the amount of money they've made from the outdoor industry over 40yrs
Sup
Cody Reubens, how's it going brother! We hope you enjoy the episode, thanks for taking the time to watch.
Wade not letting any broccoli or chicken breast get by him
85% of your viewers can’t afford to do all this.
Plz dont lose touch with your fans from the beginning. Not saying don’t advance. Just don’t forget most of your viewers can’t do any of this type plot architecture. or use those muddy / hawk blinds. So all we are doing is watching you guys do this stuff. It’s beyond just us watching you harvest great deer. I always loved to just hear you and Terry talk deer, set up and tactics on hunting deer.
Just feels like you guys are losing touch with most viewers. ✌🏼
WHITETAIL REALITY outdoors, first off thank you for the longtime support being a subscriber over these past 5 years, we greatly appreciate it! You're correct in saying that not everyone can make improvements the exact way that was done in this episode, but everyone can make improvements. Maybe in the future we can offer various substitutes if equipment isn't an option. We hear you and will try to filter in throughout the '22 season as much tactics, setup, etc. as we can. Ultimately, that's why we created DeerCast in the first place. All of the knowledge, identified hunting phases, weather/wind tools, etc. that we could come up with to help the deer hunter are packed into that single app. We value every viewer immensely and sincerely appreciate you taking the time to leave the comment guys. Have an incredible rest of your week and best of luck this coming season!
