I've found that using the compact member list on local works a lot better. As for getting your attention from the other side of the screen, set color tags on everything, and make your desired target color tag flash. Especially helpful if you have blues in the system.
Thank you for this awesome tutorial, module. Some of the concepts you explained have really got me thinking about how I am playing this game. I look forward to your future videos and count me as a subscriber to your channel. :)
Thanks for the tutorials and other vids. After watching a few and fixing my overview and UI, I went out in low-sec looking for some fights in my hurricanes and finally got my first killmail. The first fight I found I lost to a Proteus. The second fight I was able to down a Corax 1v1 right before his buddy warped in and finished me off.
the beginning you explained a concept of the way you would teach, though informative, it did not affect the class at al.. but you wanted to make a good, detailed video with no information "pockets" so i get where you're coming from, it would take me a few times doing this and reviewing my videos to see how/where i can improve, feedback like this is nice too literally that was the only thing i had wrong with this video, and i feel that much more ready for combat (lost 2ships last night, not fun when ur new/broke :'D ..but glad i did it). Anyone saying this was "longwinded" obviously doesn't understand that the more details you give as to why you're saying what you're saying; the better. This is an instructional video ..and the people berating you for the opening part are just crummy people that need to learn to love themselves
Something i would like to say about when you were talking about the velocity/transvers velocity, it is, in my opinion important if you are running an arti wolf.
I found an abbadon fit for distance at a belt in 0.0. He had limited drones, so I could orbit and eat him up. Fun stuff. Same thing happened with a harby I found as well. That guy had no drones.
What about his ammo type? I flew gallente almost from the start so I never worried about ammo type other than range, and now I am trying to kite in minmatar ships and I like having ammo type choice. but I really dont know what ammo's to use against which ship. I am sure he used the right ammo type in this vidyah or you would have pointed it out.
06:00 LOCAL Chat is the most important, specially in 0 space... BUT set it too COMPACT list, you dont need to see the playerfaces and its anoying scrolling up and down if too many ppl in Local ... every chatwindow has SETTINGS good vid, thx for sharing
I just came back to the game after not playing for 5 years and joined a null corp for the first time. IDK what in the heck I ought to be doing, I chose amarr and I'm an alpha clone, do I even belong in PVP?
What if you don't use a keyboard? I have an N52 speedpad that I can just program to have whatever key I want, so should I just change the modules to how I feel they fit best? Or does it just not matter? Also, I would really like a stealth bomber video :D
Wonderful! If I could make a request! I havent really ever done any pvp yet, or any 1on1s, but I know Id love to do things like that instead of, like you said, mindless blob pvp, which I think Ive gotten myself into by joining a corp that seems to be worried about its reputation. I know you seem to favor a lot of dog fight type pvp and such, but, could you possibly make a SB vid where you solo with both bombs and torps? Im a Nemesis pilot looking to start. Tactics and tips would be great.
Just some feedback for better video next time Use VLC and use record the video screen and not the program and remember youtube aspect ratio is in 16x9.
Dude we know what a Tutorial or Lesson means, we know what feedback means. We know what the desire in good pvp skill is. Here is some Feedback: Don't reconfigure your windows so you can mouse click them. Use your keyboard. The game got it wrong for the use of Orbit, Approach, Target and so on, but at least you can shortcut your Modals to single keys. I hope you don't give up the good work this game needs a lot of explanation.
theres a good amount of pointless criticism here man, but the way you ramble on about the same point is not one of them. more power and i appreciate your videos, but it's the instructor's responsibility, one that you took on by making this vid, to make the lesson insightful yet succint. pls keep the redundancy to a minimum next time. i look forward to ur future vids. =)
Dramiel's do NOT die that fast :S Was In a rifter and got killed in 2 shots and barely scrathched his tank, if i survived a few seconds longer wouldve warped out, I out flew his scrams.... :D Some good tips here though and thanks for that :) +1
Solid and helpful video for sure, but like others mentioned, it could have been done somewhat quicker. You repeat yourself pretty often, which doesn't make the video any more interesting, rather boring. You give EVE pilots good tips and you said it helps to get outside tips. Well, please consider our comments as outside tips and improve your videos accordingly, such as the EVE pilots do! o7
Good video...however a bit of advice: make your point on what your saying and move on: you end up rambling on and on and you lose the viewer's interest.
Why you keep talking about positioning ui stuff for clicking? Most of the things you mentioned can be done much faster using keyboard shortcuts and macros, if you are launching drones and managing with a mouse you are already wasting time in a pvp fight....
The only one that's trolling here is you bro, I'm pretty sure the OP of this video can take some friendly criticism without you being all self righteous.
This was very informative, but probably the most painful thing i've ever sat through watching... jesus dude just pauses every 2 seconds and talks for 10...
lol it's funny for me to watch now a few years later. But despite how long and slow it is, people seem to really like it and it contains a ton a good info.
I'm almost positive this video is what led me to placing my modules in the order I do. F1 - Prop, F2 - Scram, F3 - Web, F4 - Guns, F5 - Utility/reps
Thankyou, I'm a complete newb and learned heaps just from this one video.

Transversal is paramount for any frigate. Particularly for sling-shots.

AWESOME VIDEOS!! I fly in wh space so the local chat doesnt really help me. but other that your vid are always super informational!
How come you don’t use tact overlay?
I love PvP in Eve. Absolutely some of the best fun you can have with your clothes on!
You play clothed..... 0_o
ubernagash Probably plays with both hands to.
you are all complaining about him talking to much yet this is a PVP coaching lesson. a tutorial. if you are after watching shit go watch a gameplay

Nice, just stumbled on this video and found out i've arranged my windows in the exact taught fashion for the exact reasons on my own \o/

Great video! wish it was in higher resolution
How many SP has your main got?
I just came back to the game after not playing for 5 years and joined a null corp for the first time. IDK what in the heck I ought to be doing, I chose amarr and I'm an alpha clone, do I even belong in PVP?
I'm a new player and want to get into pvp. I have a Corax right now, what fittings should i have?
Nice! Thank you man. No rush, whenever you have the time.

Have any recommendation for a preferred video recorder for Windows?
Fraps works well, I believe you can also use xfire to do it and there are more I don't know the name of.
Cool thanks!
+kablooie07 If you have an Nvidia card try shadowplay, otherwise OBS works well.
I would also like to see this. I have roamed a lot in my Hound but never engaged because I was clueless as to what to do to be honost
14:30 Would you, perhaps, say that this was half of the battle? :)
Thanks for the tips on the vid, Abbadon! Means a lot!

Hey man, this is a fairly niche community, but do you still actively play eve? Idk if you'll even see this, but it's worth a a shot.
I've seen some very skilled pilots flying Stealth bombers solo and getting some cool kills. It sounds fun so I will consider it.
Love your videos I just found them!
Your voice is very familiar, you ever fly around the Syndicate area?
Yes, my alliance (Usurper) has been based out of Syndicate for a few years now.
I make some Eve videos, but not for new players.
You can see all my videos, on my Eve video playlist.

thanks for this analyze of this fight, you going good job gives this free.
Whatever is fastest. As long as you spend some time thinking about how to increase your speed some.
By instinct I already did F1 prop, F2 one Ewar, F3 scram/diruptor, F4 guns.
5:30 is when the video actually starts.
theres a good amount of pointless criticism here man, but the way you ramble on about the same point is not one of them.

Great vid man! But i could not w8 for this to end, 32 min and so much "eh" "umm". Anyways you still got a new sub!
Thanks for the video.
Feel free to start making your own videos to help new pilots.
Wish id seen everyone suggesting to skip the first 5 minutes. Nothing by blah blah blah until that point
Love the video helps a lot
Teach me ol’ wise one! I can’t pvp in groups much less solo lol
nice, works for me :)
Dramiel's do NOT die that fast :S

Oh man, you're original!
love eve online
OMG! I've been getting my A... handed to me. I wish I had seen this way back when,,
i'd love to watch these but i can't afford to pay for video game tutorials
you really talk too much to start. I had to fast forward to like 5:30
shut up dude.
He is right, there was only a few minutes of actual information, the rest was rambling about nothing.
What does originality have to do with it? He criticized, I made a suggestion, and you trolled.
good fight :)
Until 5:40 is literally all rambling.
Yeah but you still watched it bitch
A Dramiel vs an Assault frig and they will die that fast if the AF pilot knows what they are doing.

Good video...however a bit of advice: make your point on what your saying and move on: you end up rambling on and on and you lose the viewer's interest.
Sorry, but a 30 min video of explaining for a 1:30 Eve Scene.
Next time, make it short ;P
Why you keep talking about positioning ui stuff for clicking? Most of the things you mentioned can be done much faster using keyboard shortcuts and macros, if you are launching drones and managing with a mouse you are already wasting time in a pvp fight....
I agree. Good stuff but actual content could be a 5 minute video. o7
Ditto what caynor said. Good tips but redundant.
The only one that's trolling here is you bro, I'm pretty sure the OP of this video can take some friendly criticism without you being all self righteous.
Need help with EVE Online? Head to the forums over at agongaming (dot) net for a link to a teamspeak full of EVE Veterans!

EVE is sandbox so many things you can do with it
outnumbered my ass, there were no casualties; if you want fast PVP as a rookie post your IG name here
He said 'periphial vision'! Hahahahaha. And I thought most EVE players were intelligent. How can an adult not know that it's PERIPHERAL.
funny when you have to skip 7 minutes of him talking about nothing.
Your voice :o
moar!
This video could have been summarized in less than seven minutes. Way too much digression and repetition in the content.
there is literally 666 likes??
peripheral not peripheal
5 minutes of explaining the concept of the video with a black screen is stupid. You repeated the idea like 7 times.
4:57 he actually stops talking... oh sweet jesus he has a drawing thing... this video must be a joke.
wait pvp skill exist in this game ? wat ? isnt it just targeting and click shoot ? LMAO
You talk way too much about nothing. Get to the point.
I could explain all these common sense tips in about 1-2min...32min video. No thanks!
you ramble to much about small things.. soo bored :P
This is too old! Too low rez. I recommend just doing it again. This is 2019, not 2012.
