The hair trigger capacitor on automatic laser weapons has been fixed a long time ago with the boardwalk paradise update, you can check it in the patch notes: system/modification (patch 47, Dez. 2023)
@@AbuGandalf I don't think that's accurate at all. What was your build? Were you herbivore using crit buffs or something? Even with the correct perks and nuka dark it took a little more time than that.
I want to know why laser rifles have less range than fixer/handmade. Lasers are literally photons that travel in a precise direction for near-infinite distance. Ballistic projectiles are hindered by gravity and air interference. It makes no sense.
Laser rifles were such a forgotten weapon they were about to end up on the Forgotten Weapons UA-cam channel, for a while there. Glad BGS remembered other weapons exist in their game other than the handmade/fixer/Railway.
I’m gun Jesus and this is a vault tec standard 2077 AE14 automatic laser rifle. These quickly fell out of use in the wasteland when the vault dwellers lost all of their explosive bullets. Yes you heard that right they fired explosive bullets.
Forceful stock reduces AP cost like the aligned stock while also drastically increasing weapon durability by the way. This is also true for other weapons with a forceful stock option.
You may have already answered this question, or perhaps one of your community members. How does the V63 Compare to the Standard Laser Rifle with all the mods you showed on the video?
I'm not turtle but I use lasers because I'm a masochist and I just like them. V63 is way better, hands down superior because you get free quad so your first star can be AA or Bloody. Not as good for vats users because of higher ap cost but still superior.

For mod boxes for enclave plasma rifle you can server hop and visit the vendors at Watoga train station, Watoga shopping plaza and Berkley train station. Alternatively, the Enclave event: Dropped Connection has a chance to reward you with an already modded weapon. I've also found loose mod boxes for enclave plasma rifle out in the world while looting places, it was pretty random and rare, but worth keeping an eye out, whenever you see a loose mod box laying around, it might just be an enclave weapon mod box...I also ran with a regular plasma rifle, for similar results, until I found my first enclave plasma flamer. So it's..visit the 3 vendors, server hop, visit the 3 vendors, server hop and so on until you find the parts you need (the average is around 1-2 weapon mod boxes/hour, if you focus farm it like this) and do the Dropped connection whenever is available. Modus inside the bunker can also sell already modded rifles , but it's very rare. Hope this helps.
Excellent video. I've been going energy commando free aim for the last month with a pretty similar build. Got bored with VATS and it's been really fun. Have a v63 carbine bloodied for daily, v63 quad carbine for bosses, v63 tesla for tagging and a vamps and medic ultracite laser when needed. Only issue i have is keeping up on fusion cells.
I go away for 6 months and find so much stuff changed! Good to know that the Laser Rifle has gone from 'Very Fun to Use' to 'Very Useful and Fun to Use' XD. I can start using my Bloodied, +50 Crit 90WWR laser now. I can even craft a better one of the RNG Interloper allows me to. Cool! Thanks for the update, Turtle!
Regardless of nerfs or boosts, I tend to have both a Laser and a Plasma Rifle alongside two ballistic guns and a melee weapon. It’s my weapon play style.
The ultracytes laser rifle with the hair trigger can get up to fire rate 182 but the faster you fire, the more rubber banding. It's caused for damage, so it's best to stay about a 120 to a 130. Anything over that?And you're damage, won't show until you stop firing
In my opinion my q2525 laser rifle has always been used and loved i think everyone was just stopped using laser rifles after explosive was removed off legacys but using it as a 2525 gun or 2550 instead of a explosive has been amazing
I think it depends on lag to some degree, most issue I heard was regarding explosive effects and on shotguns, but to be honest, not sure if it is better or not, I heard nothing for while about it and everyome is praising explosive that and explosive this now
I've had 2 or 3 of these (regular and ultracite) sitting in my stash box for years now waiting to see if they would ever become viable in the future. Looks like the waiting has paid off. I know one of them is anti armor from memory. Will have to give it a try on my second character.
The best way to Deal with this..And the only way, Is to hold in Crit damage button same time as shooting button. So instead of Only holding in shoot button, Hold in Crit button aswell. By doing this, whenever A crit is ready, Is will be used since u holding in the button;)
YES!!! FINALLY!!! I always used laser rifles despite them being pretty mediocre, I simply liked the weapon. It's nice that now they are actually useful. I hope with the next patch pistols, shotguns and non-auto rifles also get a buff.

I'll admit, I was totally skeptical of these guns being actually better. I found a AA/25FR/15R for 1500 caps last night and figured. Why not. I can't believe I'm saying it, but I love it lol. Ended up crafting a Bloody Explosive variant and it shreds.

They were always good, people just don’t seem to use any commandos that aren’t Rail Fixer or Handmade. Give me an auto enclave Tesla or laser rifle any day
I'm so glad I kept all those lasers I'd get dirt cheap in people's vendors over the years, people would be selling actual god rolls for like 1000 caps, just because it was an Ultracite laser. This buff in the new update, paired with the ability to make them explosive has been awesome. I can finally have my BE15r Laser rifle.
for vats users second star should be vats hit chance for general duty gun, you will get much more damage in shots that hit where they would previously miss than having slightly higher crit damage. Damage multipliers are additive but things that cause you to hit more like faster fire rate or hit chance are still effectively multiplicative. I tested this with a quad AR in daily ops, using Quad, crit dmg, vats cost vs quad, vats acc., vats cost. I found that shots to kill was much higher with crit damage weapon to the point I actually lost ammo with it due to misses. Shots to kill with accuracy was low enough that I could make a decent amount of ammo, but still nowhere near as good as Handmade because lets be honest was still an AR. I would think against Bosses crit damage is still best. Probably quad, crit, crit build and use scorch-beast liver to boost luck for every other shot to be a crit if you aren't bloody.
So many awesome changes, I really like that I don't have to just use my q50c25ap railway and I have options for weapons that are far more fun to play and can output non-shit damage
I've been runnin' a laser rifle and I do pretty well. But,I'm lookin' for advise,because some enemies seem to be harder to kill than others namely robots. STATS: *Furious **Rapid ***Swift Hair trigger capacitor/aligned auto barrel/stabilized stock/reflex sight/beam focuser The 2 major problems I have are robots and ammo capacity. 21rds goes down range in a literal second or 2,but havin' Swift helps. Should I change Furious to Anti-armour for the robots?? Any advise would be very appreciated. Thank you. I'm so happy they will be getting a buff,I love my Furious Defender and I'd like to see her get better.✌🏼 Edit: I should mention that I'm full health,I will not do bloodied.
I'm sorry,I guess I was misunderstood. I meant help with the rifle. See if people think it needs changes. I have the DPS,but not the sustainability because it only has 21 shots and shoots like a Kriss Vector,but my reload is pretty fast because of swift.🤷♂️
@@Dirtbag-Hyena Deffo get something with more damage or just Quad, (if you want at least) Furious is ok but the build up for it is kinda wack since there are better raw damage mods that just give you 25% - 50% more damage right from the start, and quad increases your ammo to 110. And bots do have high energy resistance so for most energy weapons you do need Anti Armor, you're right about that. or just target the weakspots If you have it, switch out for the Forceful Stock, its pretty much the same as the Stabilized Stock with just a tad bit more accuracy, better durability and has 1 to 4 less action point cost on various weapons. Only 1 on the Laser Rifle however. For the Barrel id try out the Tuned Beta Wave Tuner, it doesnt have the speed of the Hair Trigger (35% Reload) but it is the second fastest at 20% and also has the benifit of gaining 20% more rounds, which is only about 7 more shots but still a little better, it also adds burn damage to the target. If you ever switch to explosive for the second legendary star, remove any barrel that adds burn damage because it instantly kills you if youre caught in the blast Also try the Beam Splitter, it can be used as a super accurate automatic shotgun while ads or with vats. Other than the select few barrels that add 6 rounds, switching the gun to a Semi-Auto(single fire) or slapping *Quad on to your gun theres no way to increase the ammo.

I had the fire barrel on it at first,but it seemed better without and yeah,it adds rounds and the fire rate is manageable. So,I might go back. Besides, it works for friendly fire so I can use it to heal the stupid cow instead of runnin' a flamer I'm not built for. I'm an explosives/commando build AKA(LRRP). I just wish the damn explosive mod would just drop already.😤
I changed from hair trigger to snappy. The fire rate is still very high, but now I get 50% higher crit damage. My 2nd star is 50% vats hit chance, with 3rd star as 25% lower vats cost. I’m getting crits every enemy because it hits so quickly. My luck is only 18.
I've been playing a laser pistol build which I just started. My quad explosive -25 pistol is awesome except which I'm close to those cries which shred me too!

I'd like to add something regarding Crippling enemies. Both of my characters have once weapon with it and with Perks will cripple at almost every shot and can even do it on all bosses including the 3 Robots from that one in the deep south in 76. The weapon isn't a factor. I've used Rifles with single shot and automatics and all Perk Cards with a Cripple % chance. Waste a LOT less ammo.
It's noch 25% chance to cripple, when you have 5 projectiles with 5% chance each. It's around 22% ;-) Sorry, had to say it, hehe. But great video, as usual!
i wanted to make a specific build with this and was wondering if it's still worth doing 1) explosive+ splitter - kinda like the legacy 2) friendly fire - my idea is it would be similar to medics (each 'pellet' procing) final thought is if the explosion would also proc friendly fire rn im running Blood/Explo/apcost with splitter and tuned beta
Hi! Can you make detailed video on best option for 2nd star on armor? I can't decide if I want my Overeater Sentinel PA be with -35% explosion damage or +10 endurance, which with buffs and perks will give very good natural resistances. Maybe Overeater and Sentinel is enough for explosions already, maybe not. It will be nice to see which perform better in new raids
IMO beam splitter isn't as good as it seems. It appears to give more damage but due to how its calculated against armor lower individual hits don't perform as well. Range is also a very important factor both in terms of accuracy and scoring hits in the first place and damage falloff due to range. You also have opportunity cost as you have to reposition with a short range weapon. I actually pissed off another player running caravans once because even though I did way less damage than his meta auto axe build I was killing everything way before he had a chance to do anything, and that was with a rifle not an automatic commando weapon. You will lose a lot of damage at anything but short range with an auto LR with beam splitter.
Thank you for showing it at full health. That's one of the frustrating things with your weapon demos is you almost always use it at low health. Please continue to show both.
My enclave rifle with glitched mods hits for 900+ and 2k crits pulse capacity flamer enclave glitch and I also managed a flamer on my plasma pepper shaker
Idk if my game is glitched but it looks like they’ve about halved the dmg of the enclave weapons. My B/25/25 auto used to show 110-130 ballistic dmg AND energy dmg in pip boy. Now it does about 40-60 dmg of each. Checked cards and build several times. Pretty sure they got nerfed even harder than last time.
Now we just need some EPR love. Definitely needs reductions for AP and all the barrel attachments need to be properly balanced. The flamers damage is fine but AP needs to be lowered the sniper and auto could use just a small damage buff but the AP needs to be lowered then theres the splitter ☠️ everything needs to be buffed about that thing. Pipe pistols out perform that thing.
Setting fire rate above 130 will rubberband health i run fire rate 159 and do burst shots 2 bullets kills most u will see if you burst shot each enemie they will die faster otherwise 20 bullets before they register there dead
@qcdoomqc currently still happening for me may just be event lag or vats lag try setting up ultracite laser with focus,forceful,hair trigger,reflex, and give it faster fire rate mines explosive
There was a level 7 in my camp checking things out. I quickly crafted a level 5 laser rifle and modded it out. On a whim, I rolled it, and got Quad Crit Damage FMSWA!! I dropped it and 1000 rounds for the noob.
Great he can use it for like 2 hours let's say 15 minutes with the amount of ammo you gave him and that fire rate 🤣 I only dropped lvl 50 noobs weapons But nowadays you never know there are a lot of high lvl players creating new profiles and trying to scam others pretending to be noobs
I'm a healer I always run friendly fire 3 and rediscovered the wave tuner mods now I can literally keep my team alive from across the battlefield by spamming them with a wave tuner explosive laser gat and it heals better than anything else I've used. Need a heal lemme snipe you lol
I actually was using a legacy laser before like all legacy’s were token out the game I preferred it over my god roll fixers and handmade I honestly felt like it was the best gun in the game
I mean lasers are ok, vs auto enclave you have much better AP use but that damage range and vats accuracy on the EPR or even an EPP is nasty. You can vats snipe anything.

I’ve been using a bloodied vats accurate Ultracite laser for aaaaages. It’s already a fantastic weapon so I’m very excited for the update!

I recently switched my energy rifleman build from enclave plasma rifle to laser rifle.
Kinda wish there was a setting to automatically use your vat crits when ready, I hate spamming y on console

I love my Lasers. I have Q2525 of Laser and Ult Laser. I had to stash them on a mule though so I don't accidentally scrap them.

Furious is ok but the build up for it is kinda wack since there are better raw damage mods that just give you 25% - 50% more damage right from the start, and quad increases your ammo to 110.
And bots do have high energy resistance so for most energy weapons you do need Anti Armor, you're right about that.

If you have it, switch out for the Forceful Stock, its pretty much the same as the Stabilized Stock with just a tad bit more accuracy, better durability and has 1 to 4 less action point cost on various weapons. Only 1 on the Laser Rifle however.
For the Barrel id try out the Tuned Beta Wave Tuner, it doesnt have the speed of the Hair Trigger (35% Reload) but it is the second fastest at 20% and also has the benifit of gaining 20% more rounds, which is only about 7 more shots but still a little better, it also adds burn damage to the target.
If you ever switch to explosive for the second legendary star, remove any barrel that adds burn damage because it instantly kills you if youre caught in the blast
Also try the Beam Splitter, it can be used as a super accurate automatic shotgun while ads or with vats.
Other than the select few barrels that add 6 rounds, switching the gun to a Semi-Auto(single fire) or slapping *Quad on to your gun theres no way to increase the ammo.

My thought was Quad/explosive. I don't have explosive yet,though. I had the fire barrel on it at first,but it seemed better without and yeah,it adds rounds and the fire rate is manageable. So,I might go back. Besides, it works for friendly fire so I can use it to heal the stupid cow instead of runnin' a flamer I'm not built for. I'm an explosives/commando build AKA(LRRP). I just wish the damn explosive mod would just drop already.😤
I changed from hair trigger to snappy. The fire rate is still very high, but now I get 50% higher crit damage. My 2nd star is 50% vats hit chance, with 3rd star as 25% lower vats cost. I’m getting crits every enemy because it hits so quickly. My luck is only 18.
I have a quad 25DWA 50 durability ALR, so this is nice!

I've been using my ultracite laser rifle with quad/explo/reduced weight i got from eviction notice it's really fun
You do lose up to 3 damage with spliter but the muti beam bonuses are still worth it
Only worth it on vamps so you heal more per shot
I'd like to add something regarding Crippling enemies.
Both of my characters have once weapon with it and with Perks will cripple at almost every shot and can even do it on all bosses including the 3 Robots from that one in the deep south in 76.
The weapon isn't a factor. I've used Rifles with single shot and automatics and all Perk Cards with a Cripple % chance. Waste a LOT less ammo.

Been using an ultracite AA/EXPLOS/FR with a refined beta wave tuner since they ruined the gauss shotty. Its a melter even on live servers.
It's noch 25% chance to cripple, when you have 5 projectiles with 5% chance each. It's around 22% ;-) Sorry, had to say it, hehe. But great video, as usual!

Hi! Can you make detailed video on best option for 2nd star on armor? I can't decide if I want my Overeater Sentinel PA be with -35% explosion damage or +10 endurance, which with buffs and perks will give very good natural resistances. Maybe Overeater and Sentinel is enough for explosions already, maybe not. It will be nice to see which perform better in new raids
What muzzle would work best for a QE25lvc laser rifle? Would the beam splitter work best or another?
IMO beam splitter isn't as good as it seems. It appears to give more damage but due to how its calculated against armor lower individual hits don't perform as well. Range is also a very important factor both in terms of accuracy and scoring hits in the first place and damage falloff due to range.
You also have opportunity cost as you have to reposition with a short range weapon. I actually pissed off another player running caravans once because even though I did way less damage than his meta auto axe build I was killing everything way before he had a chance to do anything, and that was with a rifle not an automatic commando weapon.
You will lose a lot of damage at anything but short range with an auto LR with beam splitter.
My QE25 Laser is already a beast!! With full UNY vats is very possible.
I just wish they put the explosive back on my legacies.

had a ultracite bloodied 50 25 in my stash I just put quad on it and it feels great might just switch to energy guns for a while
My enclave rifle with glitched mods hits for 900+ and 2k crits pulse capacity flamer enclave glitch and I also managed a flamer on my plasma pepper shaker
but in this case is it not good to make it explosive? what would be the second best perk? explosive, crits or cadence?
Idk if my game is glitched but it looks like they’ve about halved the dmg of the enclave weapons. My B/25/25 auto used to show 110-130 ballistic dmg AND energy dmg in pip boy. Now it does about 40-60 dmg of each. Checked cards and build several times. Pretty sure they got nerfed even harder than last time.

Now we just need some EPR love. Definitely needs reductions for AP and all the barrel attachments need to be properly balanced. The flamers damage is fine but AP needs to be lowered the sniper and auto could use just a small damage buff but the AP needs to be lowered then theres the splitter ☠️ everything needs to be buffed about that thing. Pipe pistols out perform that thing.

Setting fire rate above 130 will rubberband health i run fire rate 159 and do burst shots 2 bullets kills most u will see if you burst shot each enemie they will die faster otherwise 20 bullets before they register there dead

There was a level 7 in my camp checking things out. I quickly crafted a level 5 laser rifle and modded it out. On a whim, I rolled it, and got Quad Crit Damage FMSWA!! I dropped it and 1000 rounds for the noob.
Great he can use it for like 2 hours let's say 15 minutes with the amount of ammo you gave him and that fire rate 🤣

I'm a healer I always run friendly fire 3 and rediscovered the wave tuner mods now I can literally keep my team alive from across the battlefield by spamming them with a wave tuner explosive laser gat and it heals better than anything else I've used. Need a heal lemme snipe you lol

I actually was using a legacy laser before like all legacy’s were token out the game I preferred it over my god roll fixers and handmade I honestly felt like it was the best gun in the game

I mean lasers are ok, vs auto enclave you have much better AP use but that damage range and vats accuracy on the EPR or even an EPP is nasty. You can vats snipe anything.
