I was stationed at Kunsan AFB Korea and the work that goes into these exercises is monumental and the US and South Korea are deadly-serious about them. When your there and see all the firepower
that can be brought to bear, you cant help but to be Patriotic, for BOTH countries.

Rider Eye! The title and the beginning credit are somewhat misleading. 99% of the fire exercise is done only by ROK forces. The US army and airforce sent just two bradley tanks and one a-10 airplane to show cooperation btw ROK army and US army. And this is quarterly trainning by ROK army.
The explosions are nice and all, but God Damn that was some fine camerawork. Very smooth tracking of the jets and good tracking of the bombs all the way down to the ground.

Stand there to see if you can guess what kind of sounds are those? Animals are just like humans. They fear the unknown and run when hear unusual sounds and see unusual movement.

@justice justice No. Russian ground force only have 300000 active personnel and their equipment are not comparable with ROK. Russia spend too many expenditure on maintain their nuclear weapons and develop strategic weapons. ROK do not have this concern.

And more importantly insignificant compared to the Black Projects that go to corporations that are 'developing' technologies that in many cases will never see use due to not actually being able to accomplish what the device, vehicle or weapon set out to do. This training is important to keep our military ready for war. And has kept us from taking severe losses, like we did in WWI and WWII, when war has actually broken out. It also provides us the means of quickly mobilizing side by side with ally nations during conflict.

Thanks for the explanation. I guess it must be real hard for the population to choose a side. Brazil is sided with U.S.A since 1944, when we've gone to WWII with allied forces. Since then, they've provided us with Armored Vehicles (M4's and M3's in the 50's) and the F5-E Jet Fighters, which are active until present days. They've never backstabbed us, and always have supported our things. I guess you'll be cool with them. Mainly because U.S.A has lots of Samsung and Hyundai XD (just like Brasil, you guys rock). Even tho I don't know why would China/Russia support North Korea (but I can think of a few reasons for the. to be against USA). I guess you have lots of advanced technology, as a developed country you are. Hope you don't need to fight North Korea directly ;/ That Kim Jong-un is a shithead.

+Phellipe Diaz I firmly believe that the only reason there hasn't been new motions to reunify korea is that with the current status quo korea is a great buffer state between north korea friends with china, backed by russia and south korea friends japan backed by the US so sort of by just existing the way it does it would curtail aggression between china and japan (hopefully) and then also help prevent a larger global conflict with..well both of those are superpowers already but russian and US too haha. No matter the reason it's fucked up that family members haven't seen each other in almost 70 years in some cases in the koreas

80% of S.Korean adult men can handle rifles and military equipment.
When you find someone who can handle tanks in the urban plaza, hundreds of people appear.
This is the same with North Korea.
I love how the helicopters have forest camouflage paint.

+Will Coleman I think BF would lost most of it's community if they tried getting realistic realistic. Tanks would be wrecking havoc around the whole place because the maps are small for an actual realistic gameplay, unlike Arma where the map is huge and you can have various different strategies to get rid of tanks, or mount a huge counterattack if you have a good disciplined team that follows orders and knows how to team up unlike in Battlefield where a scout helicopter owns the whole map or a guy with an RPG-7 kills every single tank. I would absolutely love to have a game like Arma with BF graphics and engine, but the fanbases are very different and EA won't be able to make as much money on a realistic game like that.

Our F-15K squadron can be launched within 4 minutes of an alert and can destroy north korean nuclear silos in a fixed time period.
Tanks and airplanes are what will run a war if a war breaks out. You clearly are new to this.

I was in the ROKAF 155th Fighter Squadron flying KF-16C/D at the Jungwon airbase.
North korea has no chance of surviving if our full air squadrons are launched at north korea.
North korean airforce dont even have enough fuel to do practice training.
Ground forces and the air support are the foundatinos of a war.
And do you know we have missiles to?
We can launch our own HYUNMOO series cruise missiles which can perfectly pinpoint north korean threats.
And lets not forget our K-2 tanks outclass the american M1.
And our NIS and UDU covert ops are constantly monitering north korean movement.
And we have 6,000 very well trained special forces ready to jump into north korea.
If you think north korea is actually going to attack south korea then you are deluded.
They know they will crumble within 3 weeks. The north korean economy cannot handle a war longer than 4 weeks.
South Korea alone can finish off north korea within 3 weeks.

You know I get the show of force, as a Canadian Veteran I understand the use of these exercises really I do. But I also know first hand the impact that these exercises have on the environment. I had a friend get mercury poisoning in the brain while serving in Bosnia. In the mid '90's I was in Vietnam on an U.N funded bomb sweeping tour. I know what unexploded ordinance can do to children. Just think of all the mercury and other chemicals released into the surrounding soil. It just makes me sad that in today's day and age we still have not learned the lessons from past mistakes. I now step down from my soap box.....
