The intro really made me want to get home and pick up my acoustic! Loved watching this with my morning coffee in one hand and holding/admiring my 54 in the other. These little mechanical machines really do touch the heart it's amazing.

How do you surpass perfection? Having had the BB58 for a while now I struggle to find anything that competes on value, heritage, quality, and looks. It set a benchmark for me in watch collecting that makes other watches generally either feel overpriced (Explorer) or not as good looking (Aquaterra). Completely subjective but a bit of a problem at the moment😕
Your intro & guitar playing was outstanding! I’d like to see Tudor offer different colors of the BB58, along with a T-Fit clasp & choices of oyster & jubilee bracelets. Come to think of it, the whole BB line could benefit from different dial colors & color combinations.
When I was deciding between the 54 and 55, unlike most people the size wasn’t my biggest concern.. I spent a while analysing them both and in the end i realised the reason why the bb58 always struck me was the gilt dial and red triangle.. it accentuates the warmth of the watch and really drives it home. It feels “all in” while the 54 feels conservative and trying to please everyone. I also think the matte dial is one of the nicest things Tudor can do with their watches.. the bbpro has a similar dial and it just feels so fitting. Bought it on bracelet, Tried the watch on jubilee, and now I’m using a distressed leather strap in olive green and the combo feels very finished. Regardless of where they go with it next, I honestly don’t think I’d upgrade.. I’ve really grown to love this model I have which is actually one from 19 as well. Anyway, great video as always.. thanks for sharing
Your Guitar playing, eclectic delivery and surprisingly harmonious. Effective but not presumptuous, not aiming to be genius perhaps but surely aware of being brilliant by being authentic. Genuinely influenced by what provides your sound with an irreverent personality, confident that the musical dialect produced is at peace with how it is spoken and perhaps understood. Ultimately It doesn’t matter. What matters is that the render, design, interpretation of any material comes out your channel does so as being truly your own. Watches, music, life, scotch, branding. Without question the black bay line has brought Tudor to where it is today, but when I compare their black bay models to their vintage models of decades past, I’m left wanting. Your videos are always an excellent way to start the weekend 🥃

I just so wish they'd give us THE watch we've all been wanting (in our heads) - I still can't even picture what it would look like. Maybe their 7923 from Only Watch? I (believe) I was the first person to spot the “new” BB58 in Esquire last year and upload the photos online (I received the mag a few weeks early). I ultimately ended up exchanging messages with the editor of the magazine who confirmed it was a botched edit resulting from sub-par photos during their shoot. This becomes more obvious when you notice the lack of any crystal distortion between the dial/bezel. Still, it looked pretty cool!
Thank you for clearing this up Dom! I still for the life of me, don't understand how they managed to edit / smash a BB54 (not 58) with a more modern bezel. Speaking as a guy who does these sorts of edits virtually every week, it takes work!😆 You'd have to slot an entirely different bezel insert onto the existing one. But you're right, that distortion looks off on the dial. As we know the crown would be incorrect for a 58 etc. interesting to think about though! 🥃
Tudor is where they are because of that Black Bay line. It is definitely the natural successor to the Submariner, and I think in 50 years people will be still talking about how that Black Bay is as good as the Submariner. Thanks Brother for the video 👍🏽

I hope Tudor watches this but their plans are already done for 2024… Tudor is starting to “not dare” so it would be nice to see some other colors for the bb58. A Starbucks variant would break the internet. Or how about a dark bb58 version (all black Pvd with no gilt). Or a bb58 “modern” with ceramic bezel, dial and design cues from a north flag. Heck, even a controversial design like the P01 would shake things up. 😊 I have a feeling a thick chrono is what we will get though.

I have several Tudors, but I'm not likely to buy again something that if squint resembles what I already have. To cement their position they need a something with a smooth bezel that is a big hit. That and METAS movements would probably pique my interest.
I had to make a conscious decision to either play left or right handed when I started (10ish years ago) and man was it difficult to find any rhythm in my right hand...especially coming from a piano background. Easily took me about 8 of those 10 years to get my right hand reprogrammed 😆 And thank you Jeremy! 🥃

Brilliant video. Love your guitar playing (I just started learning how to play acoustic guitar). My favorite features of my OG 58: the red triangle, the watch gives off strong 4 digit Sub vibes and it wears better on my 6.75" wrist than my Starbucks. I like all your renders. Understandable why the look is streamlined but for me, red triangle and same gilt color through and through are the very reason why I will never consider bb54 or the newer 58. Thank you for the info!
If Tudor is happy to not be the „blackbay only“ lable they have been the last years they should focus the chronograph and maybe (!) a proper dresswatch. After that they can go back and spot the blackbay again. I think the Ranger and Pelagos plus the small blackbay have been supermoves in collection- and brandmanagement because these models showed the world that Tudor is still more than „just“ the blackbay „one trick pony“. As always another great video. Nice music at the beginning, you are certainly accomplished in this. I hope this was a mistake. The guilded 58 is the high water mark for the BB series. Yes upgrade the movement, T-fit clasp is a must, but follow the color path. Hands, indices, bezel numerals all need to be homogeous. What Tudor did on the 54 with the white bezel numerals was a misstep i feel.
The last Black Bay I liked was the steel bezel + date version. All the gilt makes them look dressier, softer somehow. I cannot wait to see your Pelagos predictions. I recently saw the P39 live for the first time. Interestingly it looks beefier than I expected, somehow it did not look 3mm smaller than the 42mm version. A blue or green version would be a sure thing for me.
I bought a BB58 and my only real complaint were the gilted bezel but good news. I live in a sunny state and the gilt has faded way down and looks really cool now. Love the BB58 and i dont really get too excited about these new releases bc i love mine and dont see myself getting rid of it anytime soon.
yup, have the faded bezel bars and numbers, it’s distanced from the yellow, that, in seeing newer ones at the AD, I no longer find appealing. Haven’t found any watch (that I could realistically get) that I’d be willing to switch out to.
Some great renders, love the green and blue with gilt accents. I’m hoping for big things at W&W from Tudor, so many possibilities within the Black Bay and Pelagos ranges, I want them to do them all this year and blow our socks off. Could you just do a whole hour long guitar set? I could sit and listen to your playing all afternoon.
If you take a look to literally all great watch brands, symmetry and proportions are crucial. That's why the leaked watch is probably not the real deal - at least in my humble opinion. It just doesn't look right. Your video(s) on the other hand is (are) spectacular and boy, that are some great renders! I think the look and the proportions from the metas black bay are so underrated. When you put the watch on the wrist, it looks just right. The dial proportions are wonderful and i don't understand why the majority of the watch world doesn't speak about it. I'm excited to see what Tudor shows to us this year! 👍🏻👍🏻✌🏻️

The 58 update needs sharper teeth around the bezel for better grip, like the 54. I’m waiting for the updated blue which I think will be worth the wait as the bezel is very difficult to grip on the current model.
Managed to "beat the intro", nice job, great track and a fantastic album. Agree the BB58 update will include Metas certification and a T fit clasp (bet it won't be a retrofit option though). I like the BB54 bezel style and would be great if the lost the gilt on the hands and dial and replaced them with silver gilt, but that may be a bit close to their big brother. Alternatively they should just release your Forest Green version as the render looks great👍
I like the current model as imperfect as it is, but at the same time I welcome all these changes because it'll make the original more unique and vintage as time moves on 🙂
BB58 blue owner here. I hope that leak isn’t true, because to my eye it doesn’t look much different from the current black model. If the BB58 had a date option it would be close to being my only watch. I agree and think Tudor leave things out on purpose, to keep us wanting/buying
Your point about the 80-90% rule, I agree. Although...the BB54 all the watch I will ever need. Nothing today can beat it. Only if the day comes where Rolex sees sense and faithfully re-issues a modernized 6204 will I be interested in any other diver

It's a piece that I'm so infatuated with BUT it also doesn't "fit" in my small collection anymore... and man, I constantly go back and forth debating how great it is (perfect as a tudor in fact) and then the reasons why I haven't been wearing it. Definitely a video that'll be in the making 🥃
My hope is for a bb 41 with gilt accents in the bezel with Metas certification and the 5 link variant t-clasp in place of faux rivet bracelet. And a bold red accent marker triangle in the bezel. Love the red letter touch you showed in the vid. And the new slimmer case as the burgundy. I love love the burgundy and its size fits my wrist better than the classic 58.
Excellent plucking! 😉👍and I got the tune easily enough 👌 the BB range will continue to a hit for Tudor no matter what. The big question will remain around the future pricing of their collections. Everything seems to be going northward for no reason other than, because they can. If they’re sensible, they’ll be taking future business from Longines and Omega if they stay roughly where they are
I wonder how much today’s Tudor is targeting existing watch enthusiasts versus people new to luxury watches. The specs, materials, and design cues of their most-promoted models seem like they cater more towards a mainstream aesthetic. (Black Bay Ceramic, Pelagos 39, blue BB58, the less-gold BB54…) I think they want Rolex to be the “you can’t have this” brand in a high street store, and Tudor supports this strategy as the cheeky brand that competes next to Omega in stores - reinforcing the perception that Rolex is above them all.
Great video, thanks. I have tried all the new models, but I am really drawn to the blue 58. In person, the colour is much nicer than cameras show. For me it’s just about perfect, although I would prefer a better clasp. The links joining the clasp are not articulated so it effectively makes the clasp huge. The new, on the fly clasp would be great. As for the dial, less text and blue lume would round it off nicely. Cheers!
I hope they don't get rid of the red triangle, but if they made the rest of the tweaks, I wouldn't be too upset. What I really hope is to see some additional versions of the 41mm METAS Black Bay diver - black and/or blue would be great. I do see a great opportunity for Tudor to come out with green variants in steel. Getting the shade of green right will be key. We know they can get blue right, so no worries there.
My 'original' BB58, bought four-and-a-half years ago, gets everything so right that I've sold my Rolex because the Tudor kicked it off my wrist. That's how good it is. Therefore, I'm not much bothered where they take it next, if indeed they do. Nice guitar playing btw.
Similar to the days gone past when the Christmas catalog came out, we thumb through the pages wishing for our desires. Like you said we are left wanting with the new releases. The latest and greatest is not all it is cracked up to be. Enthusiast will have to wait and see.
Great video, as always. I don't think that leaked image represents the new BB58. It just looks off...the proportions just aren't there, it looks like a completely different watch. But I do dig your renders, especially the gilt version with the thicker indices on the bezel and the red accents on the dial. That would definitely be a nice evolution of an already killer watch 👌

Why can't I find any info on the grey bezeled, non-gilt models shown at 4:30? That would get me to pull the trigger on a Tudor tomorrow, even despite my annoyance with the snowflake hour hand. Even searching the reference number just gets me the burgandy bezeled gilt-laden variant.
I need to see a render of a Purple BB58 or Purple Dial Chrono quite similar to the old Red,Blue,Yellow&Green Dial Tiger Prince Chrono's. Also given that Purple was only worn by Tudor Kings & Queens
Ditching the gold bezel marking for silver is a definite improvement; that was always one of the things I hated most on the 58, but losing the red triangle is a shame. It would be good to see them reprofile the top down shape of the case with either thinner lugs or perhaps slightly lengthened to give a greater lug-to-lug to diameter ratio resulting in a less round profile, as they did successfully with the 54. I can't see them changing it, but the incongruence of the round hour markers and the snowflake still kill it for me. Similarly, GIVE US A DATE OPTION!!! As always though, like all Tudors (except the Pelagos line), they will nerf the design in some way to not compete with Rolex.
Sounds like a terrible idea to drop off the gilt finish on the black version… But hey, they know what they do and I already have it in my watchbox so wait&see !
Nice video all relevant comment, Tudor have done the 'born to dare' decade, they are now into the 'live to tweak' phase to keep the evolution going but keep true to the revolution. All the VISUAL tweaks will still have to have a reference point with only really the real enthusiast knowing what developments are going on under the hood. And that is my point really what you see on the outside really has to stay true to the story as an identity whilst under the hood is where the DEVELOPMENT may take place for the enthusiast. Any thoughts ?
I love Tudor as a brand and i do want a Black Bay diver (58 preferably) but non of the variants REALLY speak to me. The possible new "leaked" version also doesnt do it for me (the dial looks to big). But just a simple Black and silver version from your render ( 4:30 ) i would buy instantly! That looks SOO good...why isnt there this version already?? Also the green render ( 9:05 ) looks great, would be a buy as well!

My only hope for the revamped BB58 is that it has a T-fit clasp and that it is compatible with the current bracelet so I can get one for mine

If Tudor is happy to not be the „blackbay only“ lable they have been the last years they should focus the chronograph and maybe (!) a proper dresswatch.
After that they can go back and spot the blackbay again.
I think the Ranger and Pelagos plus the small blackbay have been supermoves in collection- and brandmanagement because these models showed the world that Tudor is still more than „just“ the blackbay „one trick pony“.

I hope this was a mistake. The guilded 58 is the high water mark for the BB series. Yes upgrade the movement, T-fit clasp is a must, but follow the color path. Hands, indices, bezel numerals all need to be homogeous. What Tudor did on the 54 with the white bezel numerals was a misstep i feel.
Agreed, the white bezel numerals are not working for me at all.
The last Black Bay I liked was the steel bezel + date version. All the gilt makes them look dressier, softer somehow. I cannot wait to see your Pelagos predictions. I recently saw the P39 live for the first time. Interestingly it looks beefier than I expected, somehow it did not look 3mm smaller than the 42mm version. A blue or green version would be a sure thing for me.

I bought a BB58 and my only real complaint were the gilted bezel but good news. I live in a sunny state and the gilt has faded way down and looks really cool now. Love the BB58 and i dont really get too excited about these new releases bc i love mine and dont see myself getting rid of it anytime soon.
yup, have the faded bezel bars and numbers, it’s distanced from the yellow, that, in seeing newer ones at the AD, I no longer find appealing. Haven’t found any watch (that I could realistically get) that I’d be willing to switch out to.
Some great renders, love the green and blue with gilt accents. I’m hoping for big things at W&W from Tudor, so many possibilities within the Black Bay and Pelagos ranges, I want them to do them all this year and blow our socks off. Could you just do a whole hour long guitar set? I could sit and listen to your playing all afternoon.
If you take a look to literally all great watch brands, symmetry and proportions are crucial. That's why the leaked watch is probably not the real deal - at least in my humble opinion. It just doesn't look right.
Your video(s) on the other hand is (are) spectacular and boy, that are some great renders! I think the look and the proportions from the metas black bay are so underrated. When you put the watch on the wrist, it looks just right. The dial proportions are wonderful and i don't understand why the majority of the watch world doesn't speak about it.

The 58 update needs sharper teeth around the bezel for better grip, like the 54. I’m waiting for the updated blue which I think will be worth the wait as the bezel is very difficult to grip on the current model.
Managed to "beat the intro", nice job, great track and a fantastic album. Agree the BB58 update will include Metas certification and a T fit clasp (bet it won't be a retrofit option though). I like the BB54 bezel style and would be great if the lost the gilt on the hands and dial and replaced them with silver gilt, but that may be a bit close to their big brother. Alternatively they should just release your Forest Green version as the render looks great👍
I like the current model as imperfect as it is, but at the same time I welcome all these changes because it'll make the original more unique and vintage as time moves on 🙂
BB58 blue owner here. I hope that leak isn’t true, because to my eye it doesn’t look much different from the current black model. If the BB58 had a date option it would be close to being my only watch. I agree and think Tudor leave things out on purpose, to keep us wanting/buying

It's a piece that I'm so infatuated with BUT it also doesn't "fit" in my small collection anymore... and man, I constantly go back and forth debating how great it is (perfect as a tudor in fact) and then the reasons why I haven't been wearing it. Definitely a video that'll be in the making 🥃

My hope is for a bb 41 with gilt accents in the bezel with Metas certification and the 5 link variant t-clasp in place of faux rivet bracelet. And a bold red accent marker triangle in the bezel. Love the red letter touch you showed in the vid. And the new slimmer case as the burgundy. I love love the burgundy and its size fits my wrist better than the classic 58.

Everything seems to be going northward for no reason other than, because they can. If they’re sensible, they’ll be taking future business from Longines and Omega if they stay roughly where they are

I wonder how much today’s Tudor is targeting existing watch enthusiasts versus people new to luxury watches. The specs, materials, and design cues of their most-promoted models seem like they cater more towards a mainstream aesthetic. (Black Bay Ceramic, Pelagos 39, blue BB58, the less-gold BB54…)
I think they want Rolex to be the “you can’t have this” brand in a high street store, and Tudor supports this strategy as the cheeky brand that competes next to Omega in stores - reinforcing the perception that Rolex is above them all.

I have tried all the new models, but I am really drawn to the blue 58. In person, the colour is much nicer than cameras show. For me it’s just about perfect, although I would prefer a better clasp. The links joining the clasp are not articulated so it effectively makes the clasp huge. The new, on the fly clasp would be great. As for the dial, less text and blue lume would round it off nicely. Agree on all except the black dial...matte for me is key. I decided against the Pelagos 39 due to the glitzy dial and bezel treatment.
I have had a few Tudor watches and to date the BB58 blue dial is easily my favorite. The colour of the dial and bezel are perfection. 😊
Like the bigger dial of the leaked 58, lugs also look shorter. Would love to see a new 58 with an opaline dial and blue or green bezel.

I hope they don't get rid of the red triangle, but if they made the rest of the tweaks, I wouldn't be too upset. What I really hope is to see some additional versions of the 41mm METAS Black Bay diver - black and/or blue would be great. I do see a great opportunity for Tudor to come out with green variants in steel. Getting the shade of green right will be key. We know they can get blue right, so no worries there.
My 'original' BB58, bought four-and-a-half years ago, gets everything so right that I've sold my Rolex because the Tudor kicked it off my wrist. That's how good it is. Therefore, I'm not much bothered where they take it next, if indeed they do. Nice guitar playing btw.

Great video, as always. I don't think that leaked image represents the new BB58. It just looks off...the proportions just aren't there, it looks like a completely different watch. But I do dig your renders, especially the gilt version with the thicker indices on the bezel and the red accents on the dial. That would definitely be a nice evolution of an already killer watch 👌

Why can't I find any info on the grey bezeled, non-gilt models shown at 4:30? That would get me to pull the trigger on a Tudor tomorrow, even despite my annoyance with the snowflake hour hand. Even searching the reference number just gets me the burgandy bezeled gilt-laden variant.

I always thought they should’ve made the 54’s bezel ever so slightly thinner and used that space to elongate the minute track
I need to see a render of a Purple BB58 or Purple Dial Chrono quite similar to the old Red,Blue,Yellow&Green Dial Tiger Prince Chrono's. Also given that Purple was only worn by Tudor Kings & Queens
Ditching the gold bezel marking for silver is a definite improvement; that was always one of the things I hated most on the 58, but losing the red triangle is a shame. It would be good to see them reprofile the top down shape of the case with either thinner lugs or perhaps slightly lengthened to give a greater lug-to-lug to diameter ratio resulting in a less round profile, as they did successfully with the 54.
I can't see them changing it, but the incongruence of the round hour markers and the snowflake still kill it for me.
Similarly, GIVE US A DATE OPTION!!!
As always though, like all Tudors (except the Pelagos line), they will nerf the design in some way to not compete with Rolex.

Nice video all relevant comment, Tudor have done the 'born to dare' decade, they are now into the 'live to tweak' phase to keep the evolution going but keep true to the revolution. All the VISUAL tweaks will still have to have a reference point with only really the real enthusiast knowing what developments are going on under the hood. And that is my point really what you see on the outside really has to stay true to the story as an identity whilst under the hood is where the DEVELOPMENT may take place for the enthusiast. Any thoughts ?

I love Tudor as a brand and i do want a Black Bay diver (58 preferably) but non of the variants REALLY speak to me. The possible new "leaked" version also doesnt do it for me (the dial looks to big).
But just a simple Black and silver version from your render ( 4:30 ) i would buy instantly! That looks SOO good...why isnt there this version already??
Also the green render ( 9:05 ) looks great, would be a buy as well!

The faux patina needs to be shown the door now. Allow watches to age with the owner, not poorly age it from new.
