A few years ago, one of my friends was getting married. Her mother in law to be got out of her car and not only upstaged the bride but the entire wedding! She was wearing Youth Dew a scent my mother wore in her twenties. I could tell that she had used the bath oil, lotion, powder and perfume it filled the large cathedral! Estee Lauder created scents that fill up a building, never mind a room Cinnabar, Aliage , Knowing, Estee, Calyx prescriptives... Pretty much anything they made made up to the early 1990's. Original formulations of Halston, Lauren, Norell, Diva by Ungaro. Tom Ford Black Orchid, Arabian Wood, Plum Japonaise Tuscan Leather, Opium and Coco, Lou Lou by Cacherel, David Yurman , 88 The dense geranium, rose and clove darkness from Czech and Speake of course the civet bomb that could get you banned from restaurants Giorgio Beverly Hills. All made to cut through cigarette smoke in a lounge. Many Arabic attars can project through time and space with just a drop pricey but worth it.
I love nucleair fragrances, but I absolutely hate Youth Dew. I don't want to insult anybody, but to me that fragrance is downright disgusting. I bet the bride had her whole dress smell like it.
No the bride is not into Fragrances. I gave her a bottle of Chanel's Chance which is not very powerful and she still has it 15 years later only wearing it on special dressed up occasions. As a child I was not fond of Youth Dew and it can clash with a person's own scent. It is one of the Lauder products that has not been altered much over the decades. My mother and women who wore it are literally a dying breed. I found it weird that she wore it when she was a young woman in her 20's to me it has always had a mature smell.
It is said by many that Rasasi is a bombastic expression house. I suffer from thirsty skin, but Mancera is a total yes. I overspray to smell myself :) bonjour a tous. Merci, Sam.
So well explained, that interplay between projection and naturalness 👌🏻. And I happen to be wearing Tauerville Rose Flash as I watch this, and wow, I think it may be my most powerful fragrance, beastly jammy goodness!

Rien is so wonderful to me, I often wear it to bed as it makes me feel everything is right in the world. I will never ever tire of it and it is definitely one of my top 3 fragrances for life. Great list of powerful scents! Thank you so much! 🎄
I agree with you on these nuclear brands according to the ones I have from them. The exception being ELDO I found ‘ Yes I do’ sits close to the skin. I would reccomend checking out Rassasi or Asghar Ali (Bahraini brand) and of course like you mentioned Arabian Oud for middle eastern options. I would love a montale video, I only have two Montale fragrances but find their selection so massive I am overwhelmed about where to start 😅
I love ELDO's "Fat Electrician," what they call a "semi-modern vetiver." I've never smelled anything like it: a creamy, nutty vetiver with a sense of humor.
I so want Rien. I have Intense Incense and love the smell, but having Rien is more than sufficient. I just didn't test it first. Abdul Samad Al Qurashi does make some power house fragrances. My favorite right now is Brown Incense. I do plan next year to search here in Kuwait for the best Arab fragrances I can find. So, I plan to take a break on Western houses and deep dive into the brands here besides the obvious, like ASQ, Arabian Oud, Al Haramain, Ajmal, etc.
I really like Quarashi Blend Special Edition...smells good and gets compliments. I have also thoroughly enjoying Amber Oud Gold...definitely check out those Ajmal like Hatkora Wood, Rose Wood, etc.

For middle eastern brands, try Oman Luxury. It’s another high end fragrance house that’s based in Oman but a bit cheaper than Amouage and IMO more wearable (at least their main collection). They are strong and beastly. Wanderlust made an impression on me because I only had it on a test strip but when I threw my trash with that single strip with it the following day, the trash bag projected the smell. Planning to have a full bottle of it soon. Currently have their Oud Aquilaria and it’s so my favorite oud. 2 sprays max are enough and last more than 12 hours.
Something I have noticed is that some fragrances are this way when I first purchase them, but after two years or so the scent is not nearly as strong. An example of this for me is Santal Royale from Guerlain. When I first purchased it, the scent was EXTREMELY powerful. I adored it but it did cause me to sneeze occasionally. Filled a room, I could smell it on my clothes days after wearing them. Hi Michael, how often do you wear the fragrance? It could be that your nose has become accustomed to it. People who have worn the same fragrance for years will often reek of it and not notice themselves. If others can't smell it on you, then the ingredients may have gone off 🌹Xo Sam

I would warn anyone to get testers of any Montale fragrance they're interested in. Not because they may not like the composition but because they might be shocked at how low quality they smell. Like really abrasive smelling cleaning detergent. The only one I tried that didn't was Chocolate Greedy, but that was the cheapest smelling synthetic chocolate imaginable. No better than the old Al Rehab roll-on 'choco musk'. I gingerly tried a few Manceras another time, including the much loved Red Tobacco which was another terrifying drain cleaner. Cedrat Boise just smelt like a fairly generic high street men's frag but it was a welcome relief from the other stuff. I know there are people who swear by Montale but there are many like me who hate them. So sample first!!
I don't find ELDO's fragrances nuclear. I haven't tried them all, but those I have, save The Fat electrician, are rather soft and longevity is not that great. I love Fat electrician's dry down, but there is a note at the top that irritates me immensely, so I rather go for Jo Malone's Vetiver and Golden Vanilla. It' more wearable for me, dry down is pretty much the same, but i love the opening as well.
I feel like a lot of the Tiziana Terenzi fragrances can go nuclear (drink 🥃 lol). The one I own, Sirrah, is definitely in that category. Three sprays before a party and my scent was everywhere!

Being that you have such a classy perspective, I for one, would definitely value and refer your content.
Just a consideration. ❤
Eau de soir is a beast.

@@MyWorldofFragrance I remember You Tuber Redolescence went on the NYC subway with a huge amount sprays of INTERLUDE MAN the blue beast and it worked out fine... YOU ARE A BETTER MAN THAN ME GUNGA DIN HAHA
Hello my dear one.... You forgot Nishane Ani :) XOXO
Floris: No one talks about this brand. I personally LOVE Cefiro. Maybe it's old school? Don't know. I'm in the US. And, yes, most of us can't believe we have Brandon as a 'resident' in the WH. 🙄 BTW: U don't preach, U elucidate. 🤗
I would love a top montale video
I imagine these fragrances are unisex. If I'm not mistaken, "The Floating Torso" uses some of these.
Yes, they are unisex 🌹Xo Sam
I don't find ELDO's fragrances nuclear. I haven't tried them all, but those I have, save The Fat electrician, are rather soft and longevity is not that great. I love Fat electrician's dry down, but there is a note at the top that irritates me immensely, so I rather go for Jo Malone's Vetiver and Golden Vanilla. It' more wearable for me, dry down is pretty much the same, but i love the opening as well.
I don't find Incense Intense has much sillage. I guess it depends on your skin.
WhIch of these is cheapest
I feel like a lot of the Tiziana Terenzi fragrances can go nuclear (drink 🥃 lol). The one I own, Sirrah, is definitely in that category. Three sprays before a party and my scent was everywhere!
I like you. I’ll follow
Where is your beautiful mom, "THE QUEEN. I really enjoyed her spirit the last time that you had her on. She reminds me of the QUEEN AFRICAN MOM and the essence of the earth.
Ironically, it was my mother not my father who got me involved in fashion and fragrances. Now, It is me rather than my daughter's mom who introduced her into fashion and fragrances.
Lataffa and AL Haramain are good Middle Eastern houses.
Weird. Rien Intense Incense doesn't smell like anything to me. I must be anosmic!
Old formulations of Estee Lauder fragrances. Youth Dew, Knowing
