I am grappling with the conceptual framework for my literature review, I am trying to understand the point about tacit and formal theories and find it makes more sense in humanities than in the STEM context. I was hoping to see some examples from that area to help make sense of the relevance of being aware of my own theories that impact how I approach and decipher formal theories in my own research area. Thank you yet again for the wonderful content you create. It is beyond helpful to navigate a world that is often left for students to explore and figure out.

I am doing my master's thesis on social entrepreneurship, it is really challenging to describe a new field within theoretical framework due to lack of in-depth information.

hello thank you for your support to te students.I would like some advice about how to relate theoretical framework to the methodological part of a thesis in humanities.
It’s difficult to be specific but your methodology should align with your theoretical framework. They should have the same assumptions. For example, if I have a post modern theoretical framework, the methodology won’t be a modernist survey but something more open ended and exploratory. The epistemology of the methodology can’t contradict the theoretical framework.
Although Standpoint theory is a feminist theory I see strands of it in the extract from your paper. is this because of the links to Foucault? Or am i missing something?

Can a theoretical framework be apllied to a part of a study? I m doing a PhD by publication ond used different models/ frameworks to different studies. Can I still report it/allowed as a conceptual of the thesis?
Yes, you can have different theroretical frameworks for different papers. Be careful that one conceptual framework doesn't contradict another but rather they work alongside each other.
