I love that Pandæmonium casts not just Ultima, but the FFII version of Ultima.
It's cool how elidibus has been the WoL, Zodiark himself, and our friend as well
Also that, as of this raid chain, they've now managed to make all _three_ of the original Ascian villains at least somewhat sympathetic characters.
I love that Pandæmonium's design is basically a Negative Alexander. It has the same spires and shoulder designs

Visually and musically my favorite tier. Voice lines for all bosses, completely different arenas and themes, stunning animations.
Absolutely loved all four fights
Easily my favorite of the three tiers and can’t wait to see what they do with savage

You have no idea how spot on you are. In the anniversary event around a year ago, they confirmed that Daichi Hiroi (the writer for Pandemonium & Void Ark) was tapped to be the lead scenario writer for 7.0.
I always get a kick whenever an opponent likes to proclaim themselves as a god. Just want to respond with "Allow to introduce myself, I've been called many things. One of which is God Slayer."

Really looking forward to the tier. Love the fact that Kokytos gives a food check at the start of each attempt too.
Funny enough in my 12 run we had just myself and a summoner up sitting around 15% and I covered them, died but he got the res off on a healer and the healer lb3, run was saved, got 7 comm for that :D
Epic save, and some say Cover sucks
Just had a run on this where all of the rezers died at 30%, myself and the other tank were the only ones left by 10% (I ran out of MP for Clemancy spam), and then I ate the group stack and the other tank soloed until 1% and then died to the group stack (both of us had already invulned one before we died >.
BEST Final 4 raid tier since Omega and alexander
I hope Senix keep doing this and not making the difficulty too easy, this is the perfect difficulty for both casual and hardcore
Yeah this is honestly the first content in Endwalker that feels like an appropriate difficulty for normal mode. Everything before this was way too easy.
The music is epic, love the boss designs and mechanics. These are great, can’t wait to start savage next week

Really enjoyed all four fights in this tier, should be fun to farm for a while. My DF party wiped first pull on Kokytus, can you guess to which mechanic?.... yeap they stacked the stacks xD

In all honesty, I love all the raid fights for this patch, they're all quite fun and I can't wait to see what we get with Savage.
I can imagine the 3 wings flaring in 12 will be a cone or something in Savage, kinda like arena divided by 6 places, so upper left will do a cone from North to NW, and so on, and we would walk around.. Kinda like an upped version of 1 where the chains went from half room cleave to cones + in/out.
It'll be chaotically fun
the music was good, this was a very good tier. that first boss i had a moment of "Gollum?!" with the mage's lament. and i kept having to check my phone because there's a particular tinkling sound in the song that made me think i had an alarm going off. but such a good story.

His was the seat of Elidibus after all. His role was to keep the balance and judge those who would disrupt it

@@RockR277 Zodiark's second summon was to restore the life that the Final Days had took, so that power was already more or less confirmed. And as a Primal of Darkness, powered by the collective souls of an entire planet, hes powerful enough for sure.

I loved how this tier felt like Eden's Promise normal, especially with p11 being basically e11. Can't wait for savage.
This version of To the Edge gives Fire Emblem vibes. It's great.
I wish that I was able to play through this raid with sound.
My cotank for P10 was terrible, he left the game mid pull at one point and that was the pull we cleared on. Took 6+ wipes for him to dip but we finally made it
We had to DSR the Akh Buster (I told my friend in VC that the proper term was ‘Thunder buddies’) and sac someone to the tankbuster towers, but we made it. I think P10 is my favorite fight of the bunch because of that
I don't want to speak too soon, but I think it's pretty obvious just from the normal modes which fight is going to be the pf wall this time around.
These 4 fights were super fun. Hoping I can get a clear on all 4 once savage drops (tomorrow?)

Man I wish more people would understand this with circle AoEs. One is fine. Don't get Venn'd, but taking ONE is fine. Coming from a healer.
(Apparently, anyways.. I do a lot more healing than otherwise these days..)
Also I don't like P10 in particular for some reason.. maybe it's the aesthetic and color palette just being absolutely gross to me. But the rest of it, including the BGM, banger. One thing I noticed about it and do like about it, as I healed it, it deals an OBNOXIOUSLY large amount of damage for the stacks and the tumults. It's like 28k pulses on the tumults. Kind of wild.
those tumults were brutal my first run 😂
@@marslara Yeah, I know right. Came outta nowhere, and the initial hit did not exactly scream "by the way, there's more." They're not exactly Babyrage rapid, but christ on a bike they HURT per smack.

so long as her forward arround is within either of the platform, you have the center of her direction to dodge into 2 sides

I understand that everyone was more than happy (and sad) to fight Themis, but then nobody noticed that his design is most likely based on Astaroth from FFII :'( (fitting since he's fought in Pandaemonium there)
To my eyes he more resembled a slightly modified variation of the final form of the Emperor in FF2.

We did wipe 3 times on last boss. Always both healers dead and no extra res.

So, the 9-11 song is pretty dope, but still not as good as scream.
As a healer, I can say that the phase in 10th circle where he's bashing his face into the arena can catch you off guard your first time because it's definitely a step up from everything else up to that point.
Also, happy says "oh cool more bleeds." whereas healers are crying at the prospect of back to back tiers with bleed heavy mechanics.

I mean, no normal mode has ever hurt as much in history of normal mode fights as the 9th heal check, I too, did not use any GCD heals and failed the heal check the first time around

It's in the character settings display name can change the color of your name, friends names, fc names, party, alliance, etc

@@enlongjones2394 I mean, you cna check the Orchestrion roll in game and its called "Ultima's Perfection (Endwalker)" so a quick trip back to Orbonne Monastery should give us a pretty good clue

That could be very interesting. I’m thinking to we might see a variation of Ultima that looks closer to her Tactics Advance or XII incarnations, since the Ivalice raid leaned more towards other looks.

The second boss with the spider webs was so confusing on my first run. Too much information and no idea what the game wanted me to do.
"Okay I'm spreading... but I'm seeing all these tethers going from me to other players... but wait, it's tethering to these poles too? Do I want to go near the poles or the players? What do these tethers even mean? There's a yellow triangle on the pole? Maybe I do need to go to the poles...?"
"Okay so now I'm hit and i'm stuck to this pole. How come me and this other guy are the only ones who are stuck? The other folks didn't get stuck, did they do it wrong? Did we? Okay, a stacking debuff, I'm getting hurt, but I can't get out of it. I can still attack though?... Do I need to attack the pole to get out? ... No, I can't target it. I'm at 4 stacks of this debuff... and I'm dead..."

This tier is so good - music, boss models, fight arenas and designs. Also: aetherochemical research facility igyorm and lahabrea, A12 alexander, SoS warrior of light, ivallice high seraph, but distinct from the previous versions of the visual and fight motifs.

The only fight I didn't like this tier is P10, specifically the spidersilk mechanic. I feel like the savage version of this fight will be awful if it's just a bunch of those webbing mechanics.

I did this first thing as soon as servers went up. I play RDM and on Athena... On the 2nd floor fall segment, both tanks and a healer are down along with a DPS... But now a healer is taking autos and goes down fast... But I play RDM... nothing unusual for me... I start chain raising and staying calm... Except then by the time I've got my 3rd raise cast and before anyone has accepted... the other DPS jump... and then I'm like... I'm committed... I wanna 1 shot this, and I'm NOT gonna stop raising now... I get 6 people back up before I'm outta MP. We proceed to make a full recovery and clear on a first attempt.
i just willingly spoiled myself in watching the fights, but now i don't fear them so i'm looking forward to seeing the story and how and why we end up fighting these 4 XD

Yeah, it sure as fuck is. Gave myself a headache squinting so hard throughout the entire 4th fight, and when we finally cleared (after 2 healer lbs), I was so dizzy I had to step away. I'm really getting sick of fights where the most difficult mechanic is just seeing what the hell is happening because of the arena.
Im just really disapointed in the Armor sets. Totally not what i would have expected to be in this final Tier. And i dont mean that they dont have the crazy effects like Abyssos ones. They are just... boring. And i also dont think they fit this Raid at all. Asicians, Madness, Science, imprisonment, mythical beasts, these are the themes overall. How does Shining Knights with Chrystal fall into this? They dont. The only connection for this is the Location of where we are, but thats sooo weak.

Unpopular Opinion: the fights this tier were so boring to execute,like wtf way too easy the normal version, bosses had like 2 attacks, a couple of variations on said attacks, and that's it. Music saved the tier for me,tho i kinda miss Scream

P9 was boring yeah. P10 wasnt super interesting in the end, however it brought so many new interesting things that i would hate calling it boring. P11 and P12 were some of the coolest fights i have ever seen.
Normal modes were never hard, and were never meant to be hard. Dunno what entitles you to suddenly call that out, it kinda applies to like, every single tier in existence, so unless you wanna call every single tier in existence boring...
