I've got this issue with my RAM right now. I have two sticks and if I have them both in it won't work, and it will work with one stick but ONLY if I have it in the 2nd slot. do you think my issue would be similar? I don't want to take it apart to check since I've finally got it working with just 1 stick
i have the same issue dram light comes on when i try to boot. just spent 5 hours taking apart my old prebuilt and putting it back together with the b650 gaming x ax V2 and a ryzen 7 9700x. i am so tired i thought i did everything right
In my case I wouldn't notice the issue without a microscope... On the other hand, always try with only one ram in the A2 slot first. If you have two ram, try with booth. Try reset the bios, and be patient. New mainboards (Intel and AMD as well) take time to boot up, if something went wrong or you reset the bios. Give a nice 2 minutes every time. I have repaired a couple PC as we have a repair shop... in very rare case the Power Supply was the issue, not the mainboard. If you don't have another PSU at hand, just try to disconnect from main for 30 minutes, put it back and try again. If it's help, the PSU is failing, it happen after 3-5 years. Let me know if any of this helped.
@ i actually just got a new psu i cant try my old one with this build tho because its a bronze 450w the one i got is 750w gold. ive been sitting here let it run and it turns off every couple minutes and turns back on and the dram light comes back on. im gonna try reseating everything and loosening my cpu when i get home from work but i really hope its not a cpu issue thank you for the advice
I had similar problem with this MB. I had 4 sticks but only 2 worked.. I bought different motherboard Asus B650E and problem was still there... I just gave up and changed 4 sticks to 2 sticks
I have seen a few cases when the bottom side of the CPU was the problem. (Used CPU) Probably someone used too much thermal paste and caused higher resistance on the bottom. I used WD-40 contact spray on a piece of A4 paper and cleaned the CPU bottom side with that. It solved the issue (however discoloured the PCB slightly). I used that CPU for 4 months without issue.
Very professional 🎉
Thanks! 😃

Yes, I believe. It's very hard to check without a good microscope, but sometimes you can see the problem with neked eyes.
