I visited Istanbul last month. Loved these places.. topkapi palace, haya Sophia, sulemaniya mosque, blue mosque, dolmabcahe palace, dolmabache mosque, there is a feeling of peace everywhere
....yes, Turkey was back when I visited it in the nineties rather wonderful, but alas the fundamental Islamic movement has made the city and the country a little less interesting.

I was in Turkey end of 2015, and i've been to many historical places and of course one of the place i visited was Tookapi palace too. But it was not allowed for the tourists to take pictures and video inside the palace. I took some pictures secretly and my phone camera's light was on, and the security got me and asked me to delete ( which i pretended "deleted" the pictures, but it was still on my bin album" 😅😅 I still want to go back to visit Turkey, i just love Turkey 💗

The museum only lets to visit a very little part of the Harem. In fact it’s really huge and complicated, if you walk around without any guidance you can easily get lost. The reason why they don’t let us is because the rooms are so fragile.
Hai No one has destroyed them. The rooms and buildings are mostly made of wood and that’s why there were many big fires happened in harem throughout the history. And wooden material also make the rooms extra fragile, so it’s safer this way to visit.
its very inspiring makes me want to vist Istanbul and TopKapi.. however i wish when you entered teh chamber you also took a shot of the descriptions written on the boards that help you know one can pause and read them ... keep it up

when I was in Turkey, it was in the late 1950's. I believe Topkapi was closed for repairs but we stayed in a small Turkish hotel (Gul Palas) and took breakfast down at the Pera Palas
