I understand everybody loves this song as much as I do but listen. I am a 5 months out of a breakup that devastated me. I’m still in shambles. This girl was my everything. We got together in high school, it was love at first sight. I never felt anything to a girl and she the same. We were both reserved and had the same beliefs of preserving ourselves for the right one. Every step of the way was magical. I never doubted my love for her. We lived together, we changed together, we grew together and we loved each other every step. Things started to fall apart when I started to project it onto her. Here’s why this song hits me so hard. Every time I think of her, the feeling is exactly this song AND, one of my first and my most special memory of her is us walking to Walmart during a sunset, she had there jolly rancher green eyes the lit UP in the sun. I remember looking down at her before we confessed our love for her and man I was just stunned. I never felt like that before and I haven’t felt like that since. It’s the memory I think about the most when I remember (her name). She is in a new relationship now and I believe she left me for him because I was acting pretty bad. It hurts like hell. So much. But I hope her relationship with him is everything she ever wanted that I couldn’t give her. She deserves it. I’ll always love that girl man, from the heart.
