Burton Constable pike deadbaiting, dec 2023 (subtitles added)

We have been struggling at branesburton over the past few weeks, so we decided to try another venue, burton constable. deadbaiting for pike on float and legering. The wind was horrendous with gusts upto 50+mph, gluttons for punishment, we rode our ebikes up there to try it out!

I've never tried the circle hooks, it seems fashionable at the moment, I know Mark on "Fishing for Pleasure" struggled when he started using them...
I have a pkt. but haven't decided yet to use 'em or not... I might give 'em a go later in the season... 🤔

yeah i will do that to see who is on the ball, we have been using circle hooks now for about 4 years and swear by them, good hook up rate, easy and clean unhooking.

Is lure fishing for Perch allowed at Burton?

yes it is allowed, and you can lure fish through thr year there, not just winter.
