They probably don’t have the key in it so they can easily expand and retract it and they just keep it closed with their hand. To retract it they probably retract it like any other pocket staff just instead of using the floor to retract it they use something like their stomach or thigh.

They must have rehearsed this to death and you can tell by how precise and confident they are holding the props. I love it because the props were used throughout the whole song and not just for 5 seconds. Amazing job!
This choreo is actually really cool?!! With the stick and all!! A stronger song compared to their latest release, imo...I feel like it would have made a bigger impact this time around..it was ahead of it's time ~ Also, I recognized Jaechan because of his hat lmao (Sangwoo dances now?! XD)
