E-FLITE AT- 6 1.5m TEXAN BNF BASIC EFL8750 - DEANO DEMO FLIGHT - 2018

- UK HELI BOB MADE A VERY VALID POINT IN THE COMMENTS BOX THAT WE WERE NOT FOLLOWING BMFA REGULATIONS WHEN PLUGING IN A LIPO - WE SHOULD BOTH ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN BEHIND THE MODEL AND IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RESTRAINED DURING THE START UP PROSESSE !
REMEMBER PEEPS STAY SAFE AND READ THE BMFA HANDBOOK FOR HELP ON A SAFE FLYING ENVIRONMENT -- PETE,
YEP E-FLITE HAVE DEFINITELY GOT THE TEXAN SPOT ON ! DEANO FLEW HER ON A 4 CELL 2200 MAH LIPO AND DID SHE PERFORM WELL !
THE INSTRUCTIONS ONLY MENTION USING A 3 CELL 2200MAH AND DOES NOT SUGGEST USING A 4 CELL AT ALL - THIS WAS OUR DESICION AS WE FLY OUR E-FLTE P-47 & SPITFIRE ON 4 CELLS WITHOUT EVER HAVING A PROBLEM,
WE FLEW THE TEXAN ON A 3 CELL AND IT GAVE HER A VERY GOOD PERFORMANCE INDEED BUT YOU KNOW HOW IT IS SOMETIMES BIGGER IS BETTER OR FASTER - LOL,
WE ARE GETTING AROUND 6 MINUTES FLYING TIME FROM THE TURNIGY NANO-TECH 4 CELL 2200 MAH 35-70C LIPO,
HE BALANCES PRETTY MUCH THE SAME WITH EITHER A 4 OR 3 CELL BATT IN HER PUSHED AS FAR FORWARD AS IT CAN GO !
THE FULL LENGTH SPLIT FLAPS WORK VERY WELL AS YOU CAN SEE WHEN DEANO SLOWS HER DOWN TO JUST WALKING SPEED AND THOSE CUTE LITTLE RETRACTS WITH THEIR FOAM WHEELS ARE COPING VERY WELL ON THE ROUGH OLD FIELD WERE FLYING FROM !

FILMED DOWN THE PATCH - FEB - 2018
That's a beauty and flown so well by Deano. Make me jealous of his slow rolls as I am really struggling with those for my B test lol. Practice, practice. Great video, thanks Bob.
My daughter found a window decoration New Old Stock in an obscure Hobby Shop in Dallas TX. Driving out to share Thanksgiving with her in a few days and she says Christmas is coming early for her old man. Nice daughter and lucky me. I'll probably have to pull it apart in order to get the T-6 to fit in the car for the drive home. Jim
a very nice daughter by the sounds of it jim, youll love the harvard m8 - fly her on 4 cell for ballistic action - then close the throttle for boring scale
This was THE video demo that wrenched my wallet out of it's pocket and as the moths flew off I reached in gladly for the money in U.S. dollars to lay down for my own AT-6 Texan, Harvard, Pilot Maker or SNJ. Whatever you call her she flies like a dream machine. Yes, I've flown the big ones and have only opened the box on my own personal RC version that I hope will fly just as well. After watching this fantastic stick and rudder pilot fly this baby made me realize I not only wanted one, I needed one. Watch out the skies will have another AT-6 ripping around. Probably not as gracefully as this young gentlemen flies it but in the air none the less. This is, indeed, a fantastic bird. Can you imagine if the real bird flew to scale like this RC example? We wouldn't have need jets for another 10 years. But that's fantasy isn't it?
sorry for the late reply dave, thanks for your kind comments and i know you will love her ! how did the flying go - yrs later ?
That is some really sweet piloting! Brilliant! Thanks for the video.
Pete, with your weather improving I hope to see much more from Deano and you for this new year. Thanks for sharing what my friends and I in the "real world" of park flying enjoy. Jim
thanks jim, lol - weve a busy flying season ahead so we will be on here just enough to piss everyone off - lol, hopefully we will be test flying the 1/4 scale mustang you saw at the beginning of the vid soon,
Homeboy can fly! That's some great piloting!
thanks tony
Great video presentation and beautiful plane. It looks so smooth and stable in flight. The pilot flew it very well. It has given me an appetite to buy one now. Kind regards and a very healthy 2019 to you both. Happy landings from Aidan.
This is a really good demonstration ! I thought the wings would have come off in those turns at that speed, an excellent way for someone to get back into scale flying on a budget, although I think you did make it look easier than it probably is. Chris B.
thanks chris, that's what you do on a demo m8 - you push it to its limits to see if it will fail, so far all the eflite models weve flown have held up to deanos punishment and are still going strong,
Nice! I was hoping to see one on 4s. Plus it's good to see the self appointed "safety police" keeping u in line. :)
That young man can fly! Because of his demo I purchased one for myself but I doubt I'll be flying it any where near the way he does. And how do you say it. Jolly Good, Mate? Time to watch it again for the forth time today.
sorry for the late reply dave, thanks for your kind comments and i know you will love her ! how did the flying go - yrs later ?
Great flying👍🏻

@@ShockeWulf190 many thanks shocke, dont forget to subscribe for updates !
Great video guys all the important details mentioned thanks
Sweet bird...and smooth flight. You make those grass takeoffs and landings look easy. Did you swap out the esc. or the stock one handled the 4S well without getting hot?
Hey Pete how did you get a movie star celebrity to demo that plane for you????
Way kool!!!
lmfao - cheers m8
Awesome....what is that hole in the foam at the front? You can see it in second 10.
an airscoop goes there for the engine but got broken off in a belly landing,
Flying fast this EFlite Texan! 👍👊
lovely little model dave with very good slow flying characteristics as well,
That’s really nice for a scale foam-e ! Beautifully flown , the mustang looks lovely at the start , any videos of that flying ? :)
thanks dom, hope to test fly her within a couple of weeks
Beautiful bird! I like it
Love to see you fly it scale son... LOL well done!
lol - he did slow her down later on in the video,
That's a great-looking a nice flying airplane I bet you that kid would be really really good with the 1/4 scale warbird in his hands thanks again T-Bob I like watching these videos even though I do not know how to fly an airplane :-) I have an SMS 1700 mm Red Tail P-51 Mustang but I never put it together yet I have the batteries the radio the works and I never did put it together yet wow :-)
thanks eric, yes deano is looking forward to test flying the mustang within a couple of weeks,
can you not join a club near you (if there is one) to help teach you fly eric ? you are missing out on a fun hobby ! i wouldn't try learning on the mustang if i were you m8 - try a high wing trainer first as it would be expensive with the mussy,
tbobborap1 ... thanks Bob there is a club on the other side of town from me but I have to wait till my eyesight heels and that will be a while I had detached retina in both eyes due to diabetes so I barely can see anything I cannot drive right now and I have to watch UA-cam through a 5x magnifying glass and I have to speak to text to reply so I'm handicap right now and for the moment I also have kidney failure I will have to go on dialysis soon but I've been praying that I can get up back on my feet and get to working again and doing the things that I like if I don't make it nice knowing you through UA-cam Cheerios mate :-)
WOW - that's some shit you've been hit with eric - sorry to hear that m8, i hope you fully recover soon and get back on your feet, thanks for supporting our channel eric and i hope its brought you some enjoyment along the way, best of luck with your health - regards pete,
Great bit of flying!
Are the struts spring loaded like that of the FreeWing At-6 texan ?
Cool plane I want one!!
At 8:09 check out the crop circles. Stonehenge in the far background.
Is she able to handle a bit taller gras? What do u think?
Is it the stock esc
yep all stock just put 4 cell in, still flying now with no probs !
Curious how it would handle 4 cells since I don't do 3 cells of anything anymore.
it was on 4 cells - what did you reckon on it then ?
That's a nice flying bird, what was all the banging in the back ground?
thanks matt, a couple of guys were clay pigeon shooting on the left hand side of our flightline,
That's what I thought it was. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't loosing my mind! ha!
lol
Neil Anderson, I saw that, as3x has become better and better through the years for sure!
great little model for sure
it's fast though

I see that you don't believe in following the BMFA safety recommendations when plugging in the Lipo.
Standing in front of the unsecured model and leaning over the prop. What could possibly go wrong ?
yes you are perfectly correct bob, complacency has obviously set in so let this be an example to others how NOT TO DO IT ! thanks for your comments bob - pete,
ive put a comment in the video description bob highlighting what you brought to our attention about our unsafe practice during the video - much appreciated m8 - pete,
Z
This is a toy.
?????????
Thanks captain obvious, I never would have known had you not been there! My freaking hero...
lmao
