I'm a 'hold right click to move' enjoyer. abilities on QWES parry on A block on D, item/food on 2-3. The only problem is the cursor detection a little to far. pointing near character forcing them to stop walking. need to point near screen edges to move.

Try before you buy leading to respec makes a ton of sense. I think the intelligent implementation of respec is a highly restrictive, grind based mechanic. Be that grinding for enough money to respec, or grinding out specific items.
Imagine them implementing a respec system similar to this. You go through all the process to respec to use a weapon, only to find out you hate the moveset/playstyle haha.
So try before you buy is, essentially, try before you sink time in to a respec.
I'm on the Steam Deck OLED, with Cryoutilities. No crashes in 20 hours, but it did hang on quit to desktop once and I had to kill it.
Yeah, mine was crashing every patch for almost two weeks. Then, I downloaded Cryoutilities and increased VRAM then they stopped. Clearly a memory issue.
As someone that went duel daggers and pumped most of my stats in Dex and I'm capped at lvl 30.. Some more weapons with Dec requirements would be great.
Yeah I’m rolling a second character now and its been great, and I plan to keep doing that just to have different builds

It's good that the game plays on multiple gaming platforms, I just hope they don't lower the beauty of the game to make it playable on the lesser performance machines, Meaning I get that it's nice to be able to sit in your recliner and power up the steam deck, But please do not lower the beauty of the game just because of it.
For the skill tree, would be cool to see one pop up after you hit max level. So the end game would be building something unique. Just a suggestion.
Games in the isometric perspective always feel better to play with a controller IMO can't wait for the controller key rebind to come but until then a custom profile on my elite series 2 works for now

Shit, - killed all the monsters on the first level, but the boss to kill can not - and how to develop, if all the monsters are dead - there in Lords og the fallen - after each death of the hero all the monsters come to life - build up the level of the character as much as you can. What to do?????
With your same character, logout and go to the main menu, create a new realm, and from there continue to level up.

Try before you buy is a genius idea but that's not something we can play, it's what it say- try. So we can't upgrade that weapon or use it in Crucibles which are harder difficult areas. We could walk through Shallows and try it. Cool but we need respect asap. Try before you buy is awesome but not enough to keep us on the game, what about looted weapon and gear or crafted gear.. I guess we'll see soon but I'm burning slowly and I'm ready for something else if we are stuck on this gameplay loop
It’s a step, but they said you can still use the weapon but it will be less effective, hopefully this is paired with stat remapping.

While I respect the views of others, what usually bothers me is when someone brings up their beliefs to someone that has not asked about it or has come up during conversation. Most of my family are religious but I had a falling out early in my life so I do understand your side of it. I think the key is to respect and love each other regardless of views, I think the divisive nature is more on algorithms and online culture because in the real word people believe different things but we need each other to survive, online not so much.

I find that DEI is great on paper but in practice it fails and I think we will see more and more rejection of it overtime, but then it will rebrand itself and take on new life. This “fight” is an ancient fight and one that pops up from time to time.

Amazing game, all of that...but this release way...WAAAAY too early into early access, its basicly a tech demo, this needed 6 more months with atleast 3-5 more areas and atleast 2 chapters done.
Without new areas,bosses,gear and general things to do, im not coming back to it. Ive completed everything, finished the "game" with 3 builds, im on V Rising now. This seems to be a loong wait.
If they don't have respec they don't have much of a game because u r stuck unless u start all over again, which is a bad design.

I'm so happy someone spoke about how hard it is to find information that you are certain is accurate in this day and age. it really is a full time job. if someone cares about accuracy of information, they basically have two options these days: get a job as a fact checker (iirc politics is the most common topic), or focus on a career you actually care about and tune out as much information as possible (so you only have to check the validity of what is currently affecting you).
personally I picked the second one. it's lonely, but I'm much happier. imo, better than becoming worn down and angry from constant information gathering.
I think when we are at our best is when we can have real conversations with respect and integrity. I don’t know anyone I agree with 100% of the time, nor do I want a world where that is true.
They don’t need to add skill trees or even remove weapon requirements. I’m very confused why moon is trying so desperately to reinvent the wheel on this topic. Have weapon requirements sure, just don’t have so many weapons requiring so much of an investment, implement respec, and then add what Elden ring originally had and should’ve kept. Str also increases carry weight. Focus increases focus gain and passive regen, etc etc. it’s what people like and what works.

The game feels so "meh" at this point... So many lags and frame rate drops when playing and going to a new zone. The game was so smooth when launched, but ever since they did so bad/slow PCs also run the game it has ruined it and made it a lot worse IMO. I'm well over 100 hours at this point and have multiple max-level characters with great gear but I'm honestly done for now.. I just feel like it is getting worse and worse for every update they come with. It is really sad, I truly like and enjoy the game itself but I can't deal with a laggy experience every time I log on.
Btw you still can't make the key binds on PC as you wish. When you try to bind the mapped keys it won't let you save... I hate playing on controller but I simply can't play with the set key binds on PC (mouse and keyboard)

I'm digging this game a lot, but I'm not interested because it's another cookie cutter arpg with skills and such, a la diablo or poe.
A big reason I'm into this game is because it's so similar to the souls games I like. Weapons require stats, the weapons have unique abilities, and move sets. A skill tree, I feel, would make the game more like the others already out. I fear it would render the weapons into just stat sticks that aren't special and then you'd have to make your character unique by your skill build.
To the live service comment, I would likely stop playing if it became the fomo driven second job that most of those games feel like to me. Quarterly updates are fine, but I'm good off the battle pass and seasonal or leagues. With that model comes drip feeding content and usually it includes microtransactions. I would gladly buy an expansion pack for new content or quests and areas to explore. I'm just really burned out by that whole games as a service model. Make the game sell it, then make an expansion or dlc, or go right into NRftW 2.

If you want to find out what's so bad about marx, history has two great examples between socialism/communism vs capitalism in the iron curtain between west and east Berlin and the division between north and south Korea
When I speak of Marxism I speak of culturural Marxism. As that is Marxist in practice because on paper propper Marxism is just a critique of the free market. In reality what people call capitalism isn’t capitalism but corporatism which I fully agree that’s a bad system too. My solution is one of debt free living and helping to empower individuals to their best of their ability to live the best lives they dream for themselves. Because doing something is far better than just complaining about the state of the world.

You have now made this political (instead of simply reading the article and moving on), and with politics creeping into every aspect of life, gaming was a refuge. It's hard for people who haven't lived long enough to experience the world without DEI initiatives to fully appreciate them. This is your channel and your opinion, but I would encourage you to make your space a safe place for everyone.
DEI "expert" consulting firms made it political. I don't see how talking about DEI makes this channel a non-safe space, it directly affects the quality of games (writing first and foremost). I guess you could just bury your head in the sand but that will only make things worse. We should talk about these things more, not less.

I’m not the one “conflating” the two, equality of outcome is Marxism and DEI is that very thing. You might want to do more research or listen to other voices to get a more well rounded understanding of the key issues. If it was helping people I’d be all for it but I look at the fruits of the movement and for every person who think they got helped by it, you have whole swaths of people harmed by the practice of racism. It’s a bigoted worldview and I wish it wasn’t because something needs to be done to help correct historic racism and oppression. I vote for reparations and when I hear people say that’s not possible I don’t believe them. When we can spend billions if not more on these wars, but reparations are too hard, I don’t buy it.

I would push back in that in a perfect world with perfect people DEI would not be necessary, but because we live in a world built by imperfect people with gender, racial, and sexual identity biases DEI is a flawed but necessary tool to try to compensate for the inequalities that those systems create.
If it was shown to work, I'd 100% agree with you, but it's not working, it's causing so many issues. At least when I read these reports I have to say, its flawed.

I think it's unfair to speak on DEI from the your perspective as you were not the intended demographic for this help. DEI is not Marxism dude. People have been propagandized to hate Marxism and don't actually know its basic principles. Marxism is a critique of capitalism, specifically the means of production. Nothing more, nothing less. People really need to start getting this right.
It's communism, he literally wrote the communist manifesto, and everytime someone said "that's not real communism" another 100 million lives had to be lost. You won't get anymore controlled experiments between capitalism and communism than north vs south Korea and East vs West Berlin during the Iron curtain. And no it's not just the means of production it's control by the state and class warfare. Besides ask the farmers in the SU how they felt about the proletariat/gov seizing the means of production.
