One thing I've done that has really helped- I uninstalled Facebook on my phone and I resigned from being the social media person for several groups.. Other popular apps aren't a big draw for me. This has helped me break the habit. I still use FB , but I have to wait till I get to my laptop.
Amen to your child, it’s very rude and a little hurtful to the person you’re ignoring like they’re not important enough to have your full attention. Luke 10:27💝
Very interesting and helpful discussion. Addictions can crop up in all sorts of areas of life. But if God didn't design us to need something, then we must take care that we don't become dependent on it.
6:40 1 Tim 4v8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
You know what helps? 1. Getting rid of social media. and 2. Getting rid of your smart phone. Need a gps? buy one, or learn where you're going. Need to read? use a kindle. Need to text, access to email, and call? get a feature phone: you can text, whats'app, and access email (with a tiny little 1x1 inch screen and t9 predictive texting), and you can liberate yourself from your vice, and 10 minutes of "methods" of making your addiction less lethal by keeping it at arm's length.
I'm guessing many of us are watching this on smartphones.
Indeed. This is compelling and confronting
😂😂 I am 🤦🏿♂️😁. Lord have mercy
