Thank you so much! There's so many tutorials on UA-cam 'teaching' any&everything, yet very few are actually truly teaching you, more so just doing the thing but on a video...but this was genuinely THE MOST helpful, thorough tutorials I've ever watched. Explained simply enough for a child to follow along, yet detailed&thorough enough that as an adult you've answered literally every single question I had about the entire process from prep to serving and don't feel the need to watch 5 more tutorials like I do with every single new thing I try to learn on here. Your pancakes may be the thing you're known for, but you have an exceptional talent for teaching that very few posess! Once I practice some basic pancake art I will 100% be coming straight back here to learn the more advanced stuff!
Hi, DanCake! I'm from Mexico and I want to try these. But I have a little question, hope you can help me: What should I do if I want to cook more than one? Do I have to wait for the griddle cool down to make another design?
I bet your dad and you could learn this together, it sounds like you'd both have fun with it, and pancakes are a good way to start exploring the world of cooking.
Did you play around with it , try your idea out? How did it turn out. I'm thinking to try using parchment paper over designs, slide parchment paper square piece onto the grill and try cooking it and flipping it remove parchment paper after that side cooks first. My daughter wants to try drawing her favorite characters, so I'm thinking to try drawing her designs each on parchment, paper, let her trace her characters, off the griddle, skillet, first, get what she wants drawn first then slide into the griddle, skillet, pan. Thanks for your idea/question, I'm gonna experiment with it.
Thanks so much! My kids have been asking me to do this! Just a question, please. Won't the pancakes be too thin to actually eat? If I make them a little thicker for the back, will it mess up my artwork attempt?
It's such a crazy moment! I'm really hoping that we can build up some more interest leading into the holiday season; hopefully people will spread the word that we've got this crazy pancake art world brewing. I love you! - Dan
@@drdancake I love you Dan!! I'll spread the word any way I can. All across the land, people must know about the pancake world. :-) I made sure to put the dancakes sticker on my car's backside.
What I’d like to know (and oddly enough, no one in any video really explains it) is how designs even stick out in the pancake (pancakes without coloring) I’ve tried making pancake art (without coloring) and even though I’ve followed the instructions, the designs I draw never stick out. It’s just the whole pancake cooking evenly even though I’m doing the design while the griddle is on. What is the science behind this pancake art??? How does it work and why didn’t it work when I did it???
Hej 👋 teach me... Master? Dr? Dr.Master! What an informative video, I'm sure this will assist future pancake artists who wanted to give it a try, but needed a few tips/tricks/ & a push in the right direction 👌I tried this out back in 2017 & my friend took a pix & posted them (Hopefully they got lost in the void 👀). Am I going to do this again? Probably not (at least for now), there is nobody in the house that would want to eat them xD & friends can't come over to eat The Disaster Artists work 👌. If im feeling confident & a bro would like to eat the oofs on the plate, then I'll have another go. Keep up the great work guys! Stay awesome & safe 🥞😎 👊

I don’t think I can do pancake art now bc I’m younger than you but my dad could watch this and practice because he’s an artist too
I bet your dad and you could learn this together, it sounds like you'd both have fun with it, and pancakes are a good way to start exploring the world of cooking.

Oh wow your on To Tell the Truth right now!!😊
You should include a tracing kit where you can transfer the drawing onto the pan and maybe include different types of designs

Nope, thin pancakes are edible as normal ones and thinking the back after you draw is fine. Won't ruin the art
damn teaching skills 👏
thank you so much! I like to think I get it from my mom; natural communicator, loves to teach. I appreciate your comment! -Dan
Hooray!!! 😃🎉🥞✨
I’m so excited that you guys have a dancakes griddle!!

Can I use cocoa powder to dye the pancakes brown?
I noticed you said you do it on cool surface and then cook it? Do you turn off the griddle after each pancake? Maybe I misunderstood it? Lol
You are the best thank you
Thanks for the tips!
I love Garfield in the thumbnail

i think it has to do with cooking time. i would think that the outlines and details need to cook longer than the background .. maybe I’m wrong
What is the dry ingredients made of
A nice one
What would be the fastest way to make a heart on a pancake......I need to make a bunch
Use a heart shaped cookie cutter or something similar to hold the form
👍👏👏👏👏🙏
