Next time, I suggest packing a lunch and go nature exploring. Start at the Lynn Canyon Bridge (a free suspension bridge), then drive to Cleveland Dam. At the dam, walk down to salmon hatchery. If the timing is right, then you can even see the salmon spawn. If you're feeling energetic, the Grouse Grind is not far away. After that, drive on to Horseshoe Bay and explore a bit. The scenery is gorgeous. Then head north to Porteau Cove for more views. Shannon Falls is next and if Grouse Grind wasn't enough, you can hike up the Chief. (about 3+ hours). Finally, drive up to Tantalus lookout, then turn around and drive back to Vancouver. Try to time it so you can make it to the Quercus point in Murrin Provincial Park in time for sunset. The hike up there is pretty easy, takes about 30 minutes. So if sunset is 7, get started on the hike at 6pm. IMO, best sunset ever. Bring a flashlight because it'll be dark going down.
The seafood in Vancouver is so fresh and delicious! (and this is coming from somebody who previously lived in Japan) Hello Nori is pretty good but if you come back to visit again, I would recommend trying Kishimoto, Toshi Sushi, Tom Sushi, Miku (more for the amazing view) and lastly the Lobby Lounge & RawBar at Fairmont Pacific Rim, which is surprisingly high quality for a hotel lobby eatery! Also for matcha & croissants, maybe you guys can check out Nemesis Coffee and Paragon Tea Room next time.
Hey from Calgary, Tacofino hits different. There is Tacofino in Victoria, BC. Thanks for sharing. I checked out that musician. Mellow vibes. I am headed to Vancouver in May 2024 and then off to Vancouver Island to visit fam and homies. Thanks for the vibe. Subscribed.
I’m visiting in a couple months and saved all of these food spots! Do you have any recommendations for areas to stay in? I’m having trouble deciding on that.
