Growing zucchini, unlike any other fruit or vegetable, is an occupation that gives great pleasure. When you plant the zucchini you will grow among hundreds of varieties, sometimes visually, sometimes in large ones, sometimes to use as an ornament, you dream about what you will encounter at the harvest. Remember that growing zucchini is happiness. However, sometimes your pumpkins don't set fruit despite dozens of blooms.
In zucchini, most of the time the flowers fall or the fruit sets, but it dries up in a short time before it can grow. This is worrisome, but not unusual. Many plants shed their flowers for different reasons, but this is more noticeable because the squash flowers are so large.
The flowers fall differently depending on whether they are male or female flowers. The male flowers fall when they shed their pollen; female flowers fall if they are not pollinated.
The most important factor for the pollination of pumpkin is bees. If there is no bee activity in the environment, it should not be a very ambitious sentence, but there is no pumpkin either. Recently, it is not possible to find bees around, especially in big cities. For those who grow zucchini, this means growing plants that only flower but do not fertilize and produce large zucchini.
Our biggest problem in our garden is that we cannot attract pollinating insects to our garden. We ignore many pollinator insects, not just bees. We shot a lot of videos about the value of these insects and how to invite them to your garden, but for some reason it is not as valuable as the videos about strange methods. After that, we ask left and right, why my tomatoes are not producing fruit, why my zucchini flowers are falling or why I am not getting the yield I want from my peppers. If you are watching such videos, my advice is to be selective and prefer quality videos in terms of information.
Let's get back to the main topic of the video. If zucchini does not fertilize due to a bee problem, we can actually use a method that allows you to obtain pure seeds. This method, which we call selfing, is the process of carrying male pollen to the female organs with our hands. However, it has its own implementation steps.
Now, let's explain the steps we will take to get pure seeds, and by doing this for your pumpkins that have fertilization problems, you will overcome the problem.
The process first begins with determining which squash we are going to pollinate. For this process, we identify the female flowers that are not fully opened but will open very soon and mark them. Make a mark as you can understand it. For example, insert a branch that you can see next to this flower. After identification, we gently place a latch on the tip of the flower to prevent it from opening outside of us. If you want to fertilize each squash, you can skip this step. If you want to buy pure seeds, make sure to do it. Then, fix the ends of the male flowers that are about to open again with a latch. In this way, let's ensure that there will be more pollen. Determine the number of male flowers based on how many females we will pollinate. In fact, even one will fertilize a large number of females, but to be sure, we can designate multiple males for a female flower.
As a result of this process, we have determined which female flowers we will fertilize with which male flowers.
A day later, let's pluck one of the male flowers we identified first. Let's come near the female flowers that we have determined, cut off the part other than the male flower and reveal the male organs. Then let's unlatch the female flower, carefully open the petals of the flower and gently rub the male stamens onto the female stamens. After finishing the process, let's latch the female flower again. If you do not intend to buy pure seeds, you can skip this process. Let's put a mark on it to identify which female flower we hand-fertilized is.
You can apply this process for any plant in the pumpkin family. Follow the steps exactly to get pure seed, but if our goal is just to fertilize, you can skip the steps I mentioned.
In this way, your chance of getting pure seeds will increase and you will find a solution to the problem of fertilization in orchards devoid of bee activity.

Bu metodu domateslerde de kullanabiliriz, domatesleri bir ip veya kazık yardimiyla dikey tutmak yerine domates dallarinin yere yatmalarini böylece yerde yeni kök salmalarini saglayabiliriz. böylece domates dallari sadece bir kökten degil de bir kaç kökten ihtiyaci olan elementleri alir.
