Gotta love a mechanic that appreciates most parts aren't box fresh! Thanks Edit: Just finished the brake pads (Discs were fine), this vid was excellent to watch before doing the job, to get an idea of what is involved.

Really does not do me much good when everything has already been taken apart and it's easy peezy. It's the problems that come up like compressing the plungers far enough to get fat new brake pads in and things like that that I need some advice on;
If I were doing this myself, is it a must that I have the torque pressure exact? ... like without that tool and just snugged the bolts for the caliper...is that okay?
People who know he did a number of things incorrectly. e.g. Wear indicator goes on the inside bottom, he used the wrong pad on the wrong side of the vehicle. The spring goes on the bottom, again because of the direction the wheel rotates. Etc...

Doing all for wheels (pads and rotors) on my 2005 SR5 4WD V8 tomorrow. Thank you for the video! 👍🏼
Might I add one last step; bleed the brakes to clear out old brake fluid and replace with fresh fluid. Great video!
Excellent mechanic in US.👍
Not that I'm trying to nitpick, but shouldn't the slide pins be greased when putting it all back together?
Very influenced tasks and helpfully to me to do my 06 4Runner, thank you

Do you have a video for the rear brakes? (2004 Toyota 4Runner)
Wait a sec, this is the same fella from the TRQ videos and the same 4runner. Both excellent but I wonder what happened.

you don’t need to apply lubricant on back of brake pads?
+t r You can use brake grease on the back of the pads.
Here he put the caliper grease on the ends of the pistons. That's basically the same as putting the grease on the back of the pads.
Thank you. Just wish mine looked more like this one. Too many fjords and beaches.
Technically just to change the pads, you don’t have to remove the caliper correct?
Correct ✅
How do I pay the both of y'all and tip the company for this free education?
Where can I find the Never seeze copper spray? Have everything else ready to go 😉 And yes...I have don't my brakes before...successfully 😁
Excellent video; thanks for posting it!

Such a nice guy! Nailed it
Good job 👍
Noticed you never mentioned bleeding, was that not necessary here?
+Cameron O'Briant Thanks for watching! Only if you crack open bleeder screw and press the pistons back in.
I was going to ask the same thing
awesome video
+TOSMAN SEVEN Thanks for checking us out! 1AAuto.com
How you get the piston in to get the pads??
Sweet
Put new calipers on. Brake is staying spongy/soft. How long do I need to pump brakes?
You have to bleed your brake fluid lines to get air out
Like, thanks.
F%$&@#G damnit. Another perfectly detailed video that perfectly answered my question......perfectly.
If I were doing this myself, is it a must that I have the torque pressure exact? ... like without that tool and just snugged the bolts for the caliper...is that okay?
It SHOULD be fine, but to do it “the right way” you should get a torque wrench. A $20 one from harbor freight will do just fine
What!? I don't have to take my caliper off to do the pads? Why aren't all verhicles like this!?
Lol..if he needs to tell u to take wheel off..u should leave the tools alone
who down voted this!?
