    I think if you have dug deeper you'd have found the cave from the previous occupants.
    ( I thought I saw old fire marks on the stones)

    • @mrsulo
      @mrsulo  2 роки тому +53

      Yes absolutely true. When I first saw this place, I understood that it was used by humans thousands of years ago. That's why I decided to build a shelter here. If you've already noticed in the video, it was in a state people sculpted when I first saw it. earlier humans dug deeper. Ancient peoples used to collect water in these pits in winter for use in summer. I think that's the purpose of this hole.

      @@mrsulo Isn't it dangerous? My first thoughts were what if large chunks of the material break off and crush you at night, seeing how easy it was for you to get pieces off. I especially wondered how stable the overhang is, and just how much it weighs ... Maybe I'm just being paranoid here.

    • @mrsulo

      @john turtle These rocks are so strong that if a bomb goes off under them, nothing will happen to the rock.

      @johnturtle6649 Рік тому +23

      @@mrsulo Yet you broke them off by using fire and a chisel. I'm not trying to argue here but it seems dangerous to me. I'm glad you are safe and nothing happened. Fascinating use of nails too, I have to remember that wedge trick, I've seen it before but I always forget about it. A small hand drill can be used too to start a pilot hole, then just drive something metal, or even hard wood into the hole to create a fracture break. Anyways, this was an enjoyable video, thanks for making it.

      @@johnturtle6649 Fire causes expansion. Forcing natural cracks and breaks open. So by building a large fire and heating the rock for several hours, the loose material is broken away easily. Doesn't fall on your head when you build your camp fire under a cold overhang.

    You just made the beginning of ancient concrete. Drop those baked rocks in water and you have slaked lime. Mix that into clay and sand, add water and you have cement. I don't think making a shelter in a water cistern, is a very smart idea.

    Хорошее укрытие от ветра, но от дождя совсем не спасёт, так как сверху уклон грунта в эту сторону и вся вода из почвы во время дождя будет сливаться прямо сюда.
    Я однажды укрылась от дождя под скалой, и она тоже была с таким уклоном. И вскоре с потолка стало лить намного больше воды чем снаружи. Пришлось выйти и идти дальше под дождём.

      Hello, thank you very much. I'm glad you like it. There are many sheepdogs in this region. All of them are usually aggressive to protect their territory. When dogs fight with each other, the first place they bite is the ears. Thus, they can neutralize and suffocate the opposing dog. To protect the dog from this situation, his ears are cut off when he is a puppy.
