Worked for a dealer back in the 90s. Definitely bringing back memories of way back when!
You're one of the few that get it. I own an old one like that one with the tone mod. And the newer oner(2000's) standard and I LOVE THEM BOTH. Don't really need the tone control on the old one, but it's good for Dubby Regae.
Lol, thanks! You can get a bunch of sounds out of it but you do have to work for it. I’m planning on doing a comparison video with a P Bass.
@@KPJohnson NOT a fair fight. The SB 2 can easily do the P Bass(they're cousins), but the P Bass can't do the SB 2 with the past 80% volume sound . It's a P Bass on steroids. I WILL NEVER need a P Bass again. HOWEVER, I would like the comparison review from you. You're a good reviewer. It would be fun.

I have 2 G&L basses, a USA CLF L-2000 and a Tribute Fallout, both are amazing. I am considering the SB2, G&L does offer a tone control option for the SB2 which is what I would want. Thanks Kevin!

@@KPJohnson I just bought a new Fullerton SB-2 (now with tone control standard) in Andromeda black sparkle. Absolutely love it!
I had the USA L2000 yrs ago. Had great tone but it suffered from dead notes and uneven volume in places on the neck. Despite a pro setup not fixing it, I had to get rid of it.
G&L have definitely improved their necks.

I’ve got a Tribute one of these. Lovely bass, but unfortunately the truss Rod is stripped. Not sure what neck would make a good replacement, if any? Can’t source a G&L one in the UK.
I looked at the import and liked it. Just had that cheap import feel about it.
