Mongolians are not known for having a lot of posessions, so no surprise their biggest market is dissapointing. And the prices you get - probably double than what the locals pay. Thank you for sharing though.
For a tourist the market is pretty cool and interesting to visit. Spending money there will support the locals

Try offal and traditional meals there. Probably the cheapest, most delicious and healthiest versions of meat dishes can be found in Mongolia.

The stick you were holding and the drum that the lady showed you, that is a very religious shamans tools/equipment for a religious ceremonies and "do's" ))) Called "khets" - the stick, "khengereg" - the religious drums )))

The way that sweet (or candy stall) works is what is know as pick n mix in the UK.
It's a way to buy sweets which is very many years old but still continues in a few places. It can work out very expensive. I was surprised to hear you say the bag of sweets you purchased would be $20 in Holland, that is a total rip off if you are talking US Dollars! I am not sure because Holland uses the Euro.
Dollars are more known in the world that’s why I say it sometimes in the videos :)
I had to replay it at 21:20 because it sounded like the stall holder told you to "go away" but then came to help. Still not sure what she said but she obviously didn't tell you to go away as I first thought. lol
These snuff bottles in Mongolian called "khuorug", usually made out of precious or semi precious stones like "jade", "agathe", "turquise", "quarz" and ext., head is usually made out of real coral, the spoon can be made out of gold, silver, or elephant tusks or ivory ! Decor could be gold and others ...
Family khuorugs pass down in generations, father to a son! Sometimes could be quite an antic and depending on real corral or a quality of a stone, and gold weight, can cost a fortune !!! Especially the full coral (red) one and with a handcrafting )))

I think those boots the man is selling are rejects or seconds (faulty) if you look at 4:48 you can clearly see the sole on one boot has split already (look at the top back boot on the left which is lying down. I don't think it is a good idea to tell them it is a good price when they show you even if you walk away. Because they then may think if that is a good price then maybe they could ask for more. I have being to places where they say how much is this in your country I will never tell them the real price. Because they then know what people from that country are more likely to pay and raise their prices accordingly for those people

11:03 How can you say the stuff they are selling on the market doesn't seam illegal? Those DVD's were clearly copies as were the fake clothes seen earlier in the video. Who were the other two people with you? In my country we called powdered tobacco "snuff" it is not that common anymore but can still be purchased if people look hard enough

Dude at least pay some respect. Those aren’t music instruments. Shamans use such stuffs to call dead ancestors’ souls. Mongolian shamanism is similar to African & North American. So, it’s super religious, it even might hurt you somehow.
Also, my advice. Please change your translator. Girl doesn’t know anything about her culture.
