The real MVPs at Kabam are the animations dept. You can tell they built on the things they learned in designing Mr. Fantastic to make Sandman look so good. If the game is around long enough, I'd love to see what they would do with Mystique...

@@manuelsanchez5028 Since Mystique's abilities is more on shapeshifting, I include the idea of Relics for her concept. Because, Relics has a built-in Striker feature, which swaps to Relic character for a short period of time. For example, Mystique equpping the Wolverine relic. She transforms into Wolverine for a short amt of time, then the effect shrugs off whenever she throws a Special

Little disappointed that he doesn't have more synergies (like with the rest of the sinister six or the ORIGINAL Spiderman and the Symbiote Spiderman).
He does. The sinister six are in the teammates synergy.
Yeah its true when the update comes out he already has synergies with the spiderman villains.

Sandman looks amazing (animations) definitely want to play with him! Kinda wish his heavy would make the giant hammer arm but it still looks great!
Why are there so many debuffs with weird potencies? I don't need to be thinking mid-fight, "I have 9 decelerate debuffs left which is... 63% aar... which means I'd need uhh.. 6 more to counter evade?"
I’ve seen some in the comments say that his play style is complicated. I disagree. You pretty much just five hit combo to build up resistance,throw specials to stack on debuffs and build more resistance,and once you get to 20 resistance you heavy spam. Rinse and repeat.That being said,I think Shocker for sure is the better offensive champ;might also be the better defender too.
Things sandman should've had:
Root immunity (since he's made of sand)
Some form of miss/evade/untouchable function (since he's once again made of sand)
Incinerate vulnerability (puts the miss/evade/untouchable on cooldown due to turning into glass)
Better synergies with other sinister 6 members (obviously)
These are just a few off the top of my head I'm sure there's more stuff that sandman SHOULD be able to do if you think about it.

He has a synergy with them you can see at the bottom of the screen. Sadly it’s a 5% perfect block chance synergy

He’s triple immune, tanky and an evade + heal counter. I think he’s gonna be pretty useful at R3

why isn't he immune to rupture? he's made out of sand, if there's any champion that should be rupture immune it's him.

Are u guys aware Kabam workers don't really know those characters, right? Either they just lack creativity or they've never touched the Comics.
I called him having the Root mechanic!
Wish he had some sort of passive healing to him, but I guess that was instead favored for making him have high resistances

Okay I really like sandman's pose because I like the fact that he kind of like punches down the camera. I really liked when they actually interact with the camera. And gives a sense of how they're very aware of where they are and it's like there's a cameraman watching the fights and by punching the cameras its like them trying to send a message "we know you're out there Summoner" kind of plays into the story
Sandman feels like the love child of Rintrah and Hulk (post buff) if Anti-Venom was the surrogate mother.
He has qualities from all of them. Pretty cool
Incursions buff: *+4% attack for every debuff*
Sandman: *inflicts 30-50 debuff with one sp2*

I love his special animations every single one of them cuz I like the tornado effect I like that it really feels like Spider-Man 3 and also I really like the giant Sandman pulverizing then but I was kind of hoping you would have been more like a sand monster in the original Spider-Man 3 but I ain't complaining that's still pretty cool. Also I see what you did there with the signature. The rude Sandstorm? Nice play on words there guys. Kind of makes me think that when he does his attacks maybe his specials you should just play that song
Like the triple immunity than again sandman did get poisoned technically by venom
But still I love sandman loved him in Spider-Man 3 kinda was expecting him to turn his hand into a sledgehammer like he did in some of the spectacular Spider-Man episodes

I'll save my opinions on him for when I see him in action, both apoc and knull seemed either mid or decent at best in their deep dives and turned out to be absolutely bonkers in game, i hope it's the same for Sandy

Sandman is one of those Champions I really like because he's very defensive and offensive at the same time. I'm more into the defensive type of Champions such as like Ironman so he can do resist up that's really cool it's basically like that but his signature just gives him more attack so he can really do more damage as well take less damage

Okay that makes sense that he can hold his heavy and become Passively indestructible. You punch Sandman your hand is getting stuck in there and he can do whatever he wants at that point

Let's not judge just yet. Dr doom, apocalypse, knull looked like disappointments in deep dive but look how they are in game
Besides, if he, let's say, would be underperforming, he will get a buff 3-4 months later

So his personal debuffs do use up one at a time so I guess that's going to play into the mechanic
Okay I'm loving the synergies for this one I would more likely use stealth suit Spider-Man and mantis I don't have mantis obviously cuz she just came out recently so I haven't gotten a chance to gain her but I did have stealth suit and Stark enhanced before I got banned. And I may occasionally use Venom or Goblin

I don't like that he needs a synergy to not miss I feel like that should already be in his kit I mean you are attacking with a bunch of sand how do you miss or maybe he should counter evade one or the other

30-40k heavies for a rank4 and that being his main damage output… tbh he seems disappointing. This is my second time watching the deep dive at first I thought he’d be good but now I have high doubts.

No, it only converts to degens if the hit lands, not through block.
Yeah that makes sense that he's immune to bleed poison and shock. I mean he's sand he's literally ground. Also I think once he became Sandman blood was not a problem

I'd want to know if the petrify synergy is a flat 2% overall or is it per petrified debuff. Also it looks like he's gonna be nuts on a team with Mr. Fantastic synergy wise. He may also have some longer fight use. Very curious about Sandman now...

His playstyle looks convoluted & difficult, he doesn’t have any major physical resistance or regen like you would expect sandman to have, and his decelerate does… seemingly nothing? Why not include the miss synergy into his base kit?
His playstyle looks easy lol, all you do is specials and basics to get 20 stacks and then spam heavies, simple
Dude. Deceleration is the perfect counter to all the annoying evading goobers. Like a bunch of the skill champs.
Deceleration will soon be more popular that slow because now there’s a few champs that immune to slow or even some nodes too.
@@vigil4270 yes but his playstyle is reliant on the resistant up passives, building up till just a certain amount of power. You can’t just hit the opponent or spend your power when you want for his playstyle. Instead of being put into his basic attacks like 95% of champions you need the added support of the resistance up passives to do damage, something you have to build up and spend for basic levels of damage
@@cosmicgiraffe4071 there's a bunch of other champs that work just like him it's nothing new, and there's champs that are way more complex, i think he'll be easy to play once you get his rotation down

I'm disappointed In his damage output. Those high numbers coming from a r4 or 5, 6*. To much ramp , not enough payoff.

Even the community on forums was angry at the fact these strong and hyped characters appeared as if they were noodles.
