Coming up on 10 years as a firefighter and although knowing the nature of our culture, there's going to be laughs about it in the future when everyone's good but it still always hits a spot when you see a brother like that. Wishing them boys a speedy recovery. My brother's and sisters are why I do what I do and in some cases, they're why my daughters get to see their daddy come home at night.
May I ask you what would be the "fun" in this?
As a firefighter, since more then 10 years, as it seems important to you. To loose a fellow firefighter is nothing that we want to do..
OUR lives are more important then the building or even lives in that building.
One thing that American firefighters can learn is that "if it too hot for us, it is too hot for them"
I just read your comment again and I feel sorry for you.. to even laugh at this guy's PTSD is horrible ..
@@Rickard53 did I offend you or something? I don't think I said anything to make it sound like I'd ever laugh at a brother's PTSD. You're absolutely right, there is absolutely nothing "fun" about such situations and nowhere in my comment did I ever state that I enjoy those moments. If you need to read it again then do so but don't invent those sick ideas; I love what I do and the brothers and sisters all over this country. And yes I am proud of my time because I've earned every second and it's the only thing some of us have. My time isn't for anyone but me and I'll stay proud of that, sir.
When you just know you're going to die. That rush is not easy to get over. It's not easy to calm down. Doesn't matter the situation, any close call will mess you up forever.
Hypoxia and fear of not escaping.
Great job by his brothers getting him safe.
Have been on the job 18 years but not had a moment like that.
Gid Bless.
Thanks for the coverage. I'm glad they were able to get both of them out. They are going to be messed up mentally but with help will be back at it. Prayers to them and their families.
That’s crazy scary, poor fire fighter guy screaming. Such a scary job.
Heartbreaking video he's a badass and he will recover. God bless our firefighters.
Being a firefighter for 17 yrs and still going somehow I’ve been hurt a couple of times and have had many scary ass close calls but never something like that. A lot of people don’t understand how dangerous our job really is. Speedy recovery brother.
Thank you for your service in the fire department means a lot to me.
It is as dangerous as YOU make it. They had no business being in there. Did you miss that important fact? Third generation firefighter.
@@samsquantch1358 That's what is wrong with the profession. Not enough me to go around. Just an overwhelming amount of mediocrity.
I have been a firefighter for 25 years and if you think what you saw was acceptable risk verse benefit do me a favour and retire. What you just saw was a total disregard for the safety of those firefighters by the command section. There was ZERO benefit to be interior on a building that was 100% lost.
30 yrs in..I fell from one floor to the one below,an then the floor fell on me..by the time they got to me I was up an grabbed the hose line,an was fighting the fire .an they wanted me to go out..I refused. Told them move on ,I'm good..good job guys..
wow. idk quite how to respectfully comment about the incredible quality video and scenes you are delivering lately on such a graphic clip, but this was crazy and bless them firefighters
These guys are heroes in every respect.
They are Super Heros!!! Wow.. they’re concern for him was absolutely a wow moment. They were calm and reassuring him that he was ok
To the amazing first responders. You are amazing and God bless you. Hope everyone will recover soon from this
Great footage AA
Thought everyone was going to get stuck in the exit. Amazing they could get him out with everyone standing there in concern. I truly understand the panic and need to be ready to help.
The plan was to get the guy out and they did. You can't predict what will happen on the fire ground but when something like that happens everybody has 1 objective. Get our brother out IF we can.
Awesome video. I sure hope the injured firefighter is ok. Happy New Year...🤗🤗
I remember hearing a story about a fire fighter who rescued a family. When out side a fire truck came and the family was confused. They ask where’s the firefighter who saved us the said “we just got here” . 😮 firefighters are angels
True heroes. I can't begin to imagine how terrifying that must have been.
I like to thank aii rlfirefighters all over the world.thankyoux
This was so hard to watch 💔😥
Man thats gotta be the worst feeling ever as a chief, seeing one of ur guys getting pinned under debre right in front of u. My heart dropped to my stomach when i saw that😢😭
Great footage! I appreciate all what AxN News does for us! Thank you.
Plate C
I hope the firefighter makes a full recovery stay safe🙏
Speaking as a former volunteer firefighter from years ago? Im glad the two grew members or firefighters were rescued and are safe. Hopefully no one else was injired or worse meaning nobody was criticslly injured or loss of life occurred.
Thank God they got them out was holding My breath watching this. Amazing people bless you all xo
Excellent coverage AXN NEWS
Poor man's in shock, bunker gear saved from from the burns, but still... being pinned by a slab inside a burning building will forever put fear in any man. ironically in a church.
Prayers 🙏❤️✝️ and thank you to all of those hero’s
Holy Shit! The dangers of that job. Glad they got him out. Excellent coverage
its still crazy to me that they are legit inside that building not masked up.
Thank God they got their brother out of there alive. That's a HORRIBLE feeling knowing one of yours is down inside.
That fight or flight adrenaline rush when a firefighter fears they are about to die! So thankful the brothers did not waste time but went head on into the fray to rescue these firefighters!!!
I hope everyone got out safely. ✌🏻
Stay strong brother, hope he is well
🇺🇸 just WOW!! I hope they’re safe now!
I hope the firefighters are ALL ok. Any update on the 2 injured?
U.S. firefighters are crazy to go into a building where no one is inside and is crazy on fire and obviously a complete loss. Other countries don't do this
Band of brothers.
Hat off to you guys.
Explain to me why ANY firefighter needed to be interior on a building 100% lost?
No MAYDAY called. No RIT activation. Just CHAOS!
#1. I don't know
#2. They did call a mayday Linda
# 3. If you had something like that happen in front of you and you saw the guy and could get to him would you call a RIT?
To me that's an all hands on deck situation.
By the way Linda that happened 2 years ago. Little late to be asking those kind of questions now
Its organized chaos. To them they all know what needs to be done. To us it looks like chaos.
@@Atvsrawsome I have been a firefighter since Apr 1999 so 25 years. So not new to the job as you say. Firefighters lives are not worth risking on something that is already lost.
good job
I was wondering if there was a way to get an unedited version. I would like study it use it to teach?
😢 He must have been so frightened. Poor guy
Imagine being suddenly pushed into a blazing oven and the door was shut behind you. That would be make anybody freak out, experienced smoke eater or not.
We're is this?
It looks like he is in shock and maybe not sure where he is.
Was the firefighter they pulled out at the start in shock? He screamed" Get me out of here" and was he the only one trapped
🙏🏾
soooo what went wrong... or is it easier to say what went right?
Uffffff 😮😢💙🙏
A very brave group of people... But what puzzles me is, if no one was trapped inside (I'm not familiar with religion, but do people reside inside churches?), why would they take such great risks to enter the fire?
@@PeterNichtlustig0815 Can you say with confidence that nobody was inside? Do your job.
@@danielmorgan5401 No. There´s never a 100% option in firefighting. But there would not have been any chance of survival in this kind of fire. So only defensive tactics will be used. Unnecessary dying is not part of the job btw.
Anybody ever want to see a definition of brotherhood show them this video.
God bless our fire personnel. Thankless underpaid job for these heros
Blessings and protection for all first responders!! Humble thank you for doing the job
@@ChaseFanatic All good here, thanks for asking 😇hoping same for you
Normally aren't these kinds of fire are supposed to be fought defensively. No one goes in due to collapse danger?
I know I wasn't there but it's common sense that buildings like the church is made of wood and the potential of collapse is there after the fire was going the amount it did prior to the incident. If I was their Incident commander no one goes into that building at all. @@cjritchie9701
@@cjritchie9701 I was not there and yet I can see that they should not have been there. What benefit was there to put those FFs at risk? What did they accomplish?
So easily preventable. It was obvious this was a defensive fire and there was nothing about this building that was going to be saved. No one should have even been standing in the collapse zone let alone inside the building. Glad they were able to get out.
Why are they standing in a fully involved building fire that is clearly not savable and has no casualties to rescue? Completely avoidable situation, no scba right next to and in the smoke absorbing and breathing in carcinogens while under an unstable structure.
Not good at all. There are several old buildings with areas that are usually dark, coned off, or have a visible low spot. Someone might have mentioned (asbestos!) potential church-related maintenance issues. Speech in time saves lives and people have spoken up.
I’m going to be a Firefighter and rescue people

If that was your loved one you be very upset about being exploited
Im no expert by any means but it seems with all that fire through the roof I think I would have been defensive on this fire before the collapse.
I hope the firefigher is OK
He was having a straight-up Ricky Bobby moment there until he realized he was out and safe.
What a mess…😏🙏
What are they doing in there? They are just pissing in the wind. No need to get killed if its gonna be a parking lot the need day.smh
Not sure why they we're in the bldg
To dziwne że wy w USA pchacie sie w ogień gdy nie jest to sensowne. W Polsce nigdy nie naraża sie życia strażaka gdy jest poważne zagrożenie
To those who lost their church in this fire. Prayer and love from your neighbors at First Presbyterian Church of Granada Hills
THAT is PTSD right there. I hope they take good care of that brother - he's going to need some help after that for sure.
heart breaks for him :(
Maybe, also consider he got hit on the head pretty fucking hard by....the whole building leads to pretty bad confusion
All the crap that is on TV and streaming services but you have to put a warning on something that is real life, what an ignorant time we live in.
Ff needs oxygen they give him a collar 4:23
looks like the team looks woke up to many of these vids seems like the FF are half sleeping, prob because of all the weight and the mask
Let it burn. It was a total loss from the beginning. That place looks more beautiful on fire.
I know this is supposed to be news but I think ur actually very disrespectful showing a firefighter having a ptsd attack
It's called reality! Suck it up and move on! If you think this doesn't happen in real life...guess again! People dont understand how easy it is for a life to be vanquished even when taking all the precautions in life during a firefight
I'm sorry you feel that way however it can spread awareness of ptsd
Er schreit rum das man ihn rausholen soll dabei ist er draußen bereits…viel zu überheblich. Vielleicht sollte er den Beruf des Feuerwehrmannes überdenken
You guys need to get him an ambulance and to the hospital a long time ago!! Stop messing around on scene and get him transported.
Wear your fucking SCBA and this shit wouldn't be as bad. LAFD is always finding ways to fuck up
Boy, you commentors need to start evaluating their performance instead of just blindly worshipping them.
This isn't heroics! This is nothing more than disrespectful childishness. Disrespectful to their families! There was absolutely NO REASON for them to be in there. The burning material could be accessed from the exterior through the doors and other openings. The roof structure had been compromised long before it collapsed. The families of these fireplayers should take notice after they take the rose-colored glasses off and Evaluate Their Performance.
Freaking hard to watch.. man..
Kinda distasteful to post his breakdown. I don’t think any of you would’ve wanted something similar posted about you.
Why was he reacting so crazy? I don’t get it? He’s out he’s alive chill the Fck out. I was in the dept for 10 years until
I got hurt this happened to me in a garage fire I was actually call during it all I think the adrenaline took over this guys screaming, he’s definitely not built for this job. Hopefully he retires and find something safer 🙏🏻
Inhaling the smoke makes you think incoherently, also I would have reacted the same if I suddenly blacked and out and then I woke up on the sidewalk surrounded by 20 guys.
Why would you expect someone who just went through something very traumatic to have any sort of calm or rationally emotional reaction... that's kind of ignorant. We don't all process things the same...you can't expect everyone to behave the same way, that's what you need to understand.
I think he genuinely thought he was still trapped inside and that’s why he was screaming get me out ( his brain was stuck in the fear of not getting out)
He looked terrified. He was probably convinced he was going to burn to death in that building. God bless him and all firefighters the real heroes of the world
