- Today I'm highlighting some underrated fashion designers you definitely want to know. We constantly talk about Chanel and Louis Vuitton but there are so many other amazing luxury brands to try. These are a mix of high end luxury designer brands and contemporary brands that make beautiful ready to wear, handbags, hats, and shoes. I have included black fashion designers, Thai designers, Lebanese designers, and Filipino designers as well. The designers I cover are:

Shh...don't talk about Ferragamo! I was shopping at Off Saks thinking I was anonymous with my Ferragamo bag and Burberry jacket with the tiny logo when the sales associate complimented me on my "Ferragamo" bag. Ferragamo is for people who want quality and luxury without the flash. It's an understated brand.
I'm not sure if it's that understated. Especially when it comes to shoes. I can recognize a Ferragamo shoe anywhere! Their logo too. I do like how understated they are though.
I had a bad experience shopping at Ferragamo in NYC. They treated me like I was about to try and steal something. None of the white people that came in were treated that way. Ferragamo is not getting any of my coins.
Poem Bangkok is so stunning and love how they turn dated dresses into an art form that curve into a woman's body, definitely my special occasion and engagement party choice.

I love Ferragamo. I purchased a belt years ago…It was my first “high end luxury” belt. I feel like people are just followers and gravitate towards more popular brands. Great video.. I will definitely be looking into some of these brands.

I wish more of the fashion girlies would talk about more contemporary clothing brands. The luxury bag and shoe unboxings followed by the $500 SheIn and Fashion Nova hauls just don't do it for me.

So happy you mentioned Mark Cross! I love Rear Window and their bags are timeless elegance. Ferragamo is not popular because its not trend based and their style is luxury but feminine and a lot of popular luxury brands don't exude the same thing.

Ferragamo is "old school" sophistication... Classic styling that by definition is timeless. I'm a lifelong "hat" wearing girl... Not a trend for me vintage thru present day... Always makes my look extra-ordinary! Love your recommendations 💜

I don't know why Ferragamo doesn't get the shine it deserves but I LOVE the brand. Their leather goods are gorgeous and very high quality. I've been collecting Ferragamo for a few years. I started with shoes and I purchased two bags last year. I am so glad you included them here.

OMG…I’m a Salvatore Ferragamo fan and sport it often…I visited the museum when I was in Italy…so understated which is fine with me because I never see myself…thanks for bringing us valuable content
I love Ferragamo. Their leather goods are excellent with impeccable stitching and finishing. I find their quality is by far better than most luxury stores. It’s mostly common in Europe and Middle East and mostly preferred by men. I recently bought myself a reversible belt in calf leather just to try them out. I love the men’s leather goods.

It’s funny you mention Ferragamo! I have noticed the same thing! My parents absolutely love that brand (Were Dominican 😂) and, I agree, they have quality pieces! I bought my boyfriend on their belts and now he is hooked as well!

I saw a dress on the Aje website I fell in love with . It would add some spice to my wardrobe. I donated most of my clothes. Like you, I invest in timeless and quality pieces . I kept my clothes for so long I'm ready for new items. They looked amazing when I donated them. Garments that last is the key to looking great. Thanks for sharing these brands.

I’m with you on Ferragamo’s ballet flats, I think they’re so adorable. Plus although they’re flats many of them are very shapely. Perhaps they’re not as popular in the US because they’re more of a classic style but I wonder if that designer is popular in Europe. Thanks for sharing all of these underrated designers!
When I worked in retail, at Saks Fifth Avenue; Ferragamo mostly attracted the older client. Although it has a classic, tailored and sophisticated styling to their pieces; the Ferragamo house is not a very trendy line. Maybe, one day, the Chief Executive designer will look at the line and decide to cater to a more youthful client.

I loved the education about brands outside of the high end luxury brands; like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, Dior, etc. I will definitely check out Mark Cross bags and I have always thought that Salvatore Ferragamo made one of the nicest flat shoes on the market; so I agree 100% on that point. ❤️ the information about brands that not everyone knows about.

The short white dress was nice would be a cute wedding dress , you should start your own fashion line that is like Zara affordable prices.
I like Saab's RTW over Murad's there is something a little more elegant about it.
I have been a fan of Ferragamo for years. I think the reason that it is not as popular is because it is understated. The brand's nicer bags are not plastered with logos or in your face loud. Another under appreciated (in USA) brand is Roger Vivier. CL actually interned at Roger Vivier before launching as a shoe designer. Roger Vivier shoes are more comfortable and the flats are so Parisian chic.
